The Council of Elrond joke was hilarious becasue Mitch Henderson (Sean Bean's character) was present at the The Council of Elrond .Anybody remembers Boromir?
You all are my favorite film critics on KZread. It's critical but also so fun.
the book is actually really funny so most if not all that humor was the book.
WHY DO WE KEEP LOSING MATT DAMON :)
FUCK YEAH POTATOES!!!

+blackczer123 i shed a tear who all thsoe potatoes that perished to sustain matt damon life on mars
This must be the safest version of space Ridley Scott has shown in a movie, and yet space is still scary as fuck.
Did you guys actually hear what Matt Damon said to Effie in that clip you shown at the start? Cause Matt was totally right there. Matt basically said skills and ability should be the reason someone is chosen for a project and race has nothing to do with it and should be irrelevant. Effie of course disagreed because shes illogical. Diversity is great but should not be a priority in the hiring process for anything.

They talked about it on one of their podcasts. They agreed with matt damon. They are simply making a joke in this video.

+Nineteen1900Hundred They have a couple podcasts on their site, i cant recall which particular one in which they talked about the matt damon thing. However, if you go on their site and read the description for each podcast over the past 2-3 weeks, it will say matt damon is one of the things they talked about for that particular episode.

Great performance by those potatoes. I would be hesitant to watch this movie if the Donald Glover clip was something I saw before all the other clips.

+Lerkero Man, i agree, that character was terrible. but let's not forget, that Michael Peña, a brilliant scientist, while another brilliant scientist was talking to a room filled with brilliant scientists said "English, please."
The book, written by Andy Weir, was the one of the main reason that the movie was a success. The source material was the thing that stands out. So Congrats to the author as well as the director and the screenwriter.
I'm glad to be a part of the refugees of spill
Thought the name of the movie was *'The Martin'*, for a second there.
High full price. Very good movie
"I aint Sandra Bullock!...I aint that stupid" "She's a girl" XD
Y'all make laugh and smile so much it's almost like I have friends.
Matt Damon didn't say anything except identity politics are not where the focus should be when picking directors.

Glad to see there's someone who agrees with me about this movie. I did not get what the hype was about. None of the characters were engaging, the story stopped being interesting at about the hour mark, and Damon's jokes got old real quick. I never got that there was really a sense of danger for the character which I should have.
i just LOVE these reviews :P
What an awesome review. Thanks guys.
where r the kickstarter prizes?
What microphones do you guys use?
grrrrrrr so frustrating cause you guys deserve so many more subs!!!
I don't get people constantly saying this movie is scientific. It's really not. He invokes science, sure, but it may as well be Dumbledore invoking magic. There's no part of the film where he's explaining how to do complex mathematics or anything. There is nothing that would bore a person. The movie just throws around the word "science" a lot. That's different than being a movie ABOUT science.
And the most awesome special effect was *drum roll* Sean Bean didn´t die!!!
@rokkudai

he didn't literally die no, but they did kill his characters career. Think about it, he got fired by NASA... Where the hell do you go after that? lol
Did Korey spoil the ending?
VERY HIGH FULL PRICE! WORTH YOUR MONEY WORTH OF YOUR TIME!
is it me or, is Matt Damon would be perfect to play Barry Allen in a Flash movie

Well, since I haven't read a book I can't compare. But if this film was on it's own, I'm with Martin. There was a bit too many jokes or light attitude created. For example in the end of the movie, then he was rebuilding that space shuttle he supposed to leave Mars. Come one, we are talking about rebuilding machine which may kill main character, changes itself may couse death (making shuttle's roof from a tempt). And what do we hear during this rebuilding? Cheerfull ABBA song. While in beard shaving scene serious atmosphere is created - yeah, don't cut that skin. And I hated scene then nerdy guy showed his option how to save Damon's character. Maybe I wouldn't care about it that much, maybe I would like it, but the movie had a lot of comedy elements already. And I also agree that tension of this rescue operation ended too soon. All in all high matinee. Or 8 out of 10.
Drew Goddard should write and direct the new Spider-Man

Matt Damon was in Dogma which was kind of a goofy movie.
You guys have been in 28 thousand subscribers for weeks what happened?
The book was the bomb. It was basically a screen play from the start. And the book was funnier.
Jason Bourne, Bucky, Invisible Sue, Ant-Man's Latino friend, non-dying Sean Bean, Independence Day President, and Pansexual Lando's Space Adventure.
Actually, Ridley Scott did one other comedy, which was Matchstick Men with Nicolas Cage and Sam Rockwell.

I still can't believe this movie is considered a comedy. I guess, like Martin said, they didn't put enough danger or peril in the movie. But trust me, read the book, you get all of this. Every funny line in the movie is in the book, there is even more in the book. And the peril... At some points you actually don't think he'll make it. Personnaly i liked the movie, but it didnt par with the book.It was much better than the revenant though. ( too long)

this review is hilarious
bout time they let tommy give his opinión
Recently sat down and watched this movie, If i have to realy think about it definitely a fulll price :)
7:02 my fav part, haha!
The premise of a mission to mars to rescue one man is stupid ... but now i know he wrote it and put it out himself for 99cents ... I want to see it :-)
17:34 HAHAHA..True.
*The MARTIN*
You guys should do a bad movie review for ghost of Mars it a good movie and it stars ice cube Natasha Henstridge Jason Statham and Pam Grier too it the director that did the original halloween 1978 movie John Carpenter is the director and it a good damn sci-fi/horror movie and I highly recommend that movie and it came out in 2001 on august 24, 2001 so please double toasted to do a bad movie review for that movie especially if you are a fan of John Carpenter films 🎥 like I am
Well Bucky The Winter Soldier is in this movie so the Captain America reference makes sense. Hehe.

And.....Damon makes a cameo in Ragnarok. Bucky hit Matt so hard he ended up in another realm.
Downsizing didn't work in my opinion although it wasn't Matt Damon's fault imo
great movie, full price
if only he could grow mars weed.
the audible version of this movie was way better
naw...i may watch it eventually....but watching matt damon eat and smack at the camera made me wanna throw my phone just now.
big suprise Martin didn't like it
Movie was born AF with generic white man after earth with whiteman
It's a great movie. But Martin should be the new captain Matinee
Movie A+ but the book was A+++++

I agree with Martin. I didn't think the humor worked. It really took me out of the movie. Overall though, great movie, design, effects.
yeah I give it a High Matinee. probably would've gave higher if I didn't see Interstellar first
mmm sebastian stan tho
I agree with Martin on this one. It was ok.

Better than sex!!!!!
Agree fully with Martin here, he's the smart one here clearly shown at the end of this video
I fully agree with Martin on this. The movie is bland and Martin nailed the whole movie.
ugh, so we leave it to white writers to write situations for every body? sometimes, if not most times diversity is needed to make characters seem relatable. why are people so afraid of diversity?
@Ayy_Doll_Fiddler

I thought the characters were well written. Diversity is more than skin-deep.
When I realized this movie would be about ego and not science, I decided to stay away from it. This video just confirms my suspicions.
