Yup, 100% of the black guys in JP 1-3 died. The dumbest scene was probably the Spino eating the one black guy in the plane wreck up in the tree. then the plane crashes and all the white folks in it survive.

Raptors communicating was a pretty clear reference to Jurassic Park 3. Seeing as Jurassic park 3 introduced that concept. Also a girl on the tram is reading a book called "God Created Dinosaurs." Which is written by Jeff Goldblum's character after the events of JP1 and is seen and mentioned in Lost world. There are small references to the first 3 movies, just the ones directed towards the first movie where more frequent and dominate.

The main characters are cornered by the very raptors Owen raised, due to the raptors siding with the indominus-rex. Owen was ale to regain the trust of Blue, whom is the leader of the pack. Indominus-red came in, knowing her raptor minions had gathered fresh human prey. Blue _attests_ against indominus-rex to spare Owen. Indominus-rex being the monster that she truly is smacks Blue across the area, causing Blue to slam against a pole. This struck a nerve with the other raptors and resulted into the raptors attacking the indominus-rex. The raptors were losing; two out of the three survivors died. But while the raptors were losing, Claire Dearing demand that a mysterious door be opened. As Claire stares into the darkness, she light a flair and proceeded to direct the t-rex to the abdominal threat, indominus-rex. The original tyrant queen of the island, against the completely unnatural monster known as indominus-rex. T.rex fought bravely, but was overwhelmed; after all, t-rex was an animal that was considerably monsterlike at times, while indominus-rex was a genuine monster in a dinosaurian form. Luckily, Blue still had some fight in her, resulting into a teamup of raptor and t-rex against indominus-rex in an epic battle. Together, indominus-rex was down. T-rex roars, but before either could attack again, the park's mosasaur jumped out of its tank and pulled in indominus-rex. Resulting to the end of the film. T-rex and Blue look at each other, and then go their own way. Blue then looked at Owen for acceptance, which Owen with a single nod declined; the raptors did betray the humans and even killed many of them. Blue then runs out of sight; presumably into the wilds.

Also the Jeep the kids drive is the same jeep Malcom and company are in when they are being chased by the T-Rex.

I laughed so unbelievably hard at the scene of the Indominous attempting to eat the ball. I shouldn't be laughing at your monster in a monster movie. That's a huge problem. I never really felt any concern for any characters in this, I never felt like the Indominous was an actual threat, because they made it a joke. The movie wasn't helped by the terrible special effects. You know you've fucked up if the 22 year old special effects in the original film look better. Granted, that's because they used practical effects more than CGI, but the practical effects were just as week, and looked, in some ways, more fake than the CGI. Also, the T-Rex vs Indominous scene at the end was easily Michael Bay levels of bad. I felt like I was watching a Transformers movie, where I couldn't tell who was who, who was winning, who was losing. That's never a good thing. At the end of the day, I wouldn't give this more than a rental. I'd say watch it on TV in a couple of years, if you must watch it at all.

I do sympathize with Claire when her sister drops her kids on her Claire has a job to do & if she doesn't do her job she'll get fired. If I were Claire I would've told my sister "Hey I got a job to do I can't spend my time with your kids you obviously don't give a shit if I get fired because you decided to dump your brats on me. Be glad I gave them tickets to every event at this park." I also hated the forced romance between Howard & Pratt.

I was never able to suspend my disbelief and get into this movie. Mainly I couldn't get over the fact that this was a monster movie whose monsters were animals that actually existed at some point (except the main one, of course, but that still shouldn't exempt it from practical animal behavior). I mean, all of these things were just killing and destroying at any chance they got; that's not the way animals behave. Think of it like this: if this movie had taken place in a zoo where real world animals got loose but everything else was the same, people would think it was super stupid, but that's what this is. On top of that, there were a few other things that I couldn't get over. The military group wanting to use raptors as weapons was so dumb; I mean even looking beyond the problem of guns in modern war and the necessity to domesticate them, a bear (an animal that exists now) would be just like a raptor as a weapon, but with more natural armor, that is to say, more effective. Also, without trying to spoil anything, inter-dinosaur communication is so stupid. I liked the action sequences, though, and the dinosaur fight at the end was pretty cool, so there's that I guess.

Seeing Omar Sy in the cast is what finalized my choice to see this movie. Bishop, baby. JP2 and JP3 did get SLIGHT nods. Ian Malcolm's book is seen on Larry's desk (from 2), and tie-in material shows Hoskins got his job thanks to containing the pteranodon breakout from the other island (from 3). Yeah, too little effort was made fleshing out the kids' backstory. I felt the pacing toward the end got a little rushed though, and TOO deferential to the original.

Compared to the first, this ranks a very close second. The last two sequel films, left me very unsatisfied. This was a good sequel film and I'm itching to find out what happens next? What is going on elsewhere with the geneticist Henry Wu still alive and the embryos packed up and shipped back to InGen? I'm curious to find out when the second film comes in the future.

I definitely liked this movie more than 3 but its still not as good as 1 and 2. It needed more animatronics blending; it was too reliant on cgi. That's why the dinosaurs looked so awesome in the originals. Shit they still look awesome even today. I guess these days it's easier, cheaper or quicker to just use a shit load of cgi on everything. The thing that excited me the most about this movie was the Mosasaurus (the water dino). I don't mind that dino being 100% cgi because it's aquatic. I finally got to see a Mosasaur on the big screen and it was awesome!

My 2 cents, if you took out the token "military wants to weaponize the dinos" shit, then this would be a great sequel, the movie had a badass evil hybrid as it's villain, it didn't need the military as well. However that being said, it's a minor gripe that over all does not take away from this fun movie

Am I the only one that didn't think the movie was absolutely amazing? I thought the characters/plot was probably the weakest part of the movie. The probably is that was pretty much the same as the first Jurassic Park. Sure they might be paying some homage to the original, but it was predictable and nothing special. The Characters... where do I even start? I hated like 90% of the characters. The majority were not likeable. I only liked 3 characters: Owen (Chris Pratt), the black guy and the nerd in the control room. The rest of the cast were insanely annoying and stupid as hell. The two kids are stupid as hell. The younger brother was really whiny. The older brother was a stupid horny idiot. Claire is the stupidest scientist/manager in the world. Masrani, the park owner, was just contradicting himself throughout the movie. The villain was a moron with a stupid plan. They tried to make the characters more likeable around the halfway mark, but it's a little too late, I already hate them. I was basically rooting for the I-Rex to kill them. If it wasn't for Chris Pratt, the I-Rex, and beautiful visuals, this would easily be a very average movie, 6/10 or solid rental. But because of these things, I would say it's roughly above average, 7/10 or low matinee. I don't think it was as amazing as people say it was

I saw this movie and it was average and had a ridiculous ending. It seemed like the movie was made in 1992 because anyone who was white and American was brave and tough and anyone who wasn't was either killed or cowardly. I can't understand why this movie is getting such good reviews. It is only slightly better than the previous sequels but only just.

Delboy0 The black guy in the movie, named Barry, that fought alongside Chris Pratt's character was not cowardly. He also survived. Whereas the white nerdy guy in the control booth was pretty cowardly up until the end of the movie, and he's super white, and American.

The Jurassic Park franchise should be a commentary about capitalism.

I'm... pretty sure it's always been considered that. NGEN has always been the capitalist side who won't stop to question "whether they should" and the hippy scientists are always there to retire the natural order.

I don't appreciate the forced romance and pointless annoying subplots. Otherwise I LOVED it! Better than Sex and I'm not sorry because this movie knows it's flaws but they have to move the story along so the romance and sub plots are a cop out but they make up for it very well.
