I don't know if it was Mark that invited Dexter to take it outside,it may have been the other way around. I don't know Dexter, I do know Mark, and I met Justin once very briefly at Robinsons. Both seem like good guys, it's very unfortunate that things have gone in this direction, and it would have been better for the expat community as a whole if this hadn't escalated into a physical altercation, definitely not a good look, particularly for us as Americans in Dumaguete. That being said, when two men step outside to fight, anything goes in a street fight, and complaining to the police about what transpired under those circumstances isn't an honorable move.

Thanks for your opinion on this. It's good to hear different opinions 😌

If arguing and dexter got up coming towards me I would feel inclined to stand up to protect myself. At that point I feel dexter made the first aggressive move and should have never turned his back while heading outside.

Yes. 100%. Mark Thornton definitely threw the first punch.

You people might not like what Mark did. When you run your mouth about a man's family things could very well happen. I don't know where you guys grew up but I happen to know there are some areas of conversation that are off limits. So the Fool paid the Price and got beat. Lesson learned. Keep that mouth shut

I agree. Mark was wrong for punching him first. We are all to old for that nonsense. But, as a man of principle... If you spoke badly of my family (TO MY FACE)... You going down.... Yes. Right or wrong. I'm man enough to accept the consequences for my actions as a man.

Looks like.mark defended himself and he only followed the guy out.

Not true at all. Dexter was cleanly holding the door open when Mark clearly PUNCHED HIM. That's not at all in dispute.

Your honor, at 2.19 Mr Dexter violently pushed Mr Thornton 12 feet off the sidewalk steps. Then, he continued his attack and lunged towards Mr Thornton and pressed him against the parked car. What followed was an MMA hug that was broken up by some fat man. My client is innocent and seek a counter claim of emotional distress.

Actually. The undisputed facts are that Dexter was holding the door when Mark came out & shoved & punched him 1st. This is not disputed by anyone involved.
