There is the "Sea Monsters a prehistoric journey" which has a good Tylosaurus design. It also shows the smaller Mosasaur platecarpus

I love how some of these mosasaur designs incorporate stripes into the countershading, such as the "Saurian" Mosasaurus, and the Tylosaurs from both "Jurassic Park: The Game" and "Dinosauria." It just adds a nice flair to their looks while also keeping the countershading aesthetic intact.

You forgot the Tylosaurus of Sea Monsters: The Prehistoric Adventure Imax in 2007 And I seen the Sea Monsters Imax movie I was a kid & I love that Imax documentary film.

What I like about Mosasaurus is that is discovered in The Netherlands, the country I'm from. At 1:00 that photo is taken in a museum in Maastricht. It it also named after Meuse/Maas a river that flows through my country. I think it's the only prehistoric creature from the Mesozoic discovered here, which is cool, as my country was basically sea back then.

I have a old dinosaur series my mom loved this its called denver the last dinosaur

I’m not sure if anyone commented about this but in sea rex, there’s a scene where the mosasaur faces a cretoxyrhina and the narrator states it’s a Prognathodon. Now I don’t know if it’s the same genus in the last scene of the doc, but given they had a Lioplurodon from one scene to another, I think it applies the same here. Regardless, they did the animal justice, the design is gorgeous!!

Just an idea for future vids. If you ever wanted to make this videos longer you could do a "Many interpretations of ceratopsians in X franchise" or something similar. This could apply to the four different types of tyrannosaurs in the jurassic world series and you could include other series as well. This would help when you come across species in games, movies, or shows that you cant quite pin down

Jurassic World and Prehistoric Planet designs will be special to me. The smaller mosasaur in Prehistoric Planet is Phosphorosaurus. The male basking in the shallow water is one of my favorite scenes in "Coasts" showing a side that I've never seen before like getting preened like a crocodile, and that introduced me to the forked tongue they apparently had. Yeah, the Saurian and DinoCrisis versions look cool. The colors and shape of the DinoCrisis one kind of reminds me of an arapaima.

That’s pretty cool to have Minecraft mods thrown in here I was surprised to hear “Fossils and Archeology” lol. Great video my man keep up the great work! I’m not sure if you’ve done this yet but I think you would have a decent amount of content for “Different depictions of Megalodon in Media”. Anyways just an idea if you haven’t done it yet I’d love to see one of my favorite prehistoric aquatic creatures shown.

There was a Nat Geo Documentary (I think it was called "Sea Monsters; a Prehistoric Adventure") with a sick Mosa. Honestly one of the better prehistoric sea documentaries, definitely recommend checking it out. Quite possibly my favorite thing about it was the Mosa's soundtrack, you'll know what I mean when you hear it. 😅

Mossosaurs are member of squamata clade and are closly relited to monitor lizards and snakes- mossosaurs are literaly the bigest lizards to ever existed. Snakes also are lizards.

10:14 Here's a little side note, when mosasaurus gets to lvl 40 not only does it get that dorsal fin, spikes, and blue coloration, it's head actually gets a little wider at least when you look at it head on

There was a Tylosaurus in SpongeBob, but it only appeared in only 1 episode for like 5 seconds, so you ain’t missing out on that one.

Moody Mosasaurus from the board game Happy Little Dinosaurs is one of my favs. Just a funny little guy.

The Mosasaur tail flukes weren't confirmed until 2013 to be present in the family, and it took some time for it to catch on for larger specimen depictions. This is why it wasn't in the Mosasaurus design for the first Jurassic World due to it being in production by that point in time (Along with the Jurassic franchise being slow to change).

I believe there is also a tylosaurus in the Wii game Sea Monster. Where you play as different prehistoric marine animals.

Sad to have not seen the Wii game adaptation of Nat Geo's Sea Monsters. That game was my introduction to prehistoric marine reptiles and what inspired my love for them.

No, Walking with Dinosaurs didn't feature any mosasaur. The only one who appeared in the franchise is the Tylosaurus (as well as that small coastal mosasaur) in Sea Monsters.

To my understanding, the Mosasaur featured in the show Primeval is supposed to be a Tylosaurus, given how it is depicted living alongside Hesperornis, which we know Tylosaurus preyed upon.

10:20 speaking of, recently there was evidence for a mosasaurine with a back fin and now everyone is debating if all mosasaurs had one.

Headcanon that the Jurassic World mobile game final generations of each dinosaurs are kinda like extreme interpretations of what the dinosaurs could’ve looked like by the scientists in universe

Poet Plays is a name that I haven’t heard in a long time.

What I loved about the Primeval one is how they dont try to be realistic, plus as its no where near as popular as Jurassic World, misinformation isnt spread through it.

I was hoping he'd bring up that the JWTG mosasurus model actually includes a tail fluke, unlike the movie version.

The Jurassic world mosasaur has a tail fluke. The upper lobe is quite small and is hidden by the raised scales along the tail but the lower lobe does distinctly slope downwards in most shots.

The Jurassic World mosasaurus is literally a kaiju. It’s the size of a red wood tree. Also we really need stegosaurus

That was a Quetzalcoatlus or some azdarchid in Fantasia that the Mosa/Tylo snatched

Well, judging by the crest situated on the back of its head, it’s most likely Pteranodon. Even if it was an Azdarchid, those are still Pterosaurs.

I think the head of Amazing Dinoworld's Mosasaurus resembles more the one of Prognathodon, which is why it is so short. And speaking of Prognathodon, I swear the mosasaur in Sea Rex was one instead of a Mosasaurus.

In Dino Crisis 2 Mosasaurus are very small and they hunt in groups.

@@prehistoricchannel128 nevermind i done goofed. I didnt notice when i accidentally skipped through the vid. My bad. Recent finds show that tylo had a broader head when it was alive. It wouldve looked a little like mosa. My fave mosasaur is prognathododon. Its awsome in jwtg and ive found fossils of it too.
