This is why Godzilla is my favorite character of all time. He is one of the most shared and versatile properties in fiction. Due to the sheer amount of franchises he's crossed over with, you'd think his franchise would be dead in the dirt, right? Nope, he's still going 70 years strong, why is that? 1. He's one of the versatile charcaters in fiction in my personal opinion 2. He makes A LOT of money, as well as being more recognizable than a good majority of fictional characters period 3. He's just a badass character. Therefore he can connect with audiences without needing any sad, misunderstood and sympathizng backstory (Even though the original 1954 film did a fantastic job with that). And even without needing exposition to explain what he means to the audience, because he can mean SO MANY things, from an unstoppable force nature to a metaphor for nuclear war, he's been through so much to where he camn pretty much go with anything because he's easily identifiable.

I knew Godzilla is often treated like an absolute beast in his crossovers but seeing a 95% win streak is awesome. And having 3 quarters of his loses be technical is also a really good record. Also, I'm glad to see someone else say that Godzilla's second round loss in GVK was kind of bull. And I finally learned what was up with the Kingdom of Ants ads that I saw a while back.

Godzilla actually fought Rodan in Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 2 in 1992. Godzilla won that fight, burying him in a mountain until Baby Godzilla hears the moss song after hatching

Godzilla never really lost a fight to King Kong. The one in 1962 ended so ambiguously that it needed further clarification and every official source always refered to it as a draw.

Despite you not agreeing with the character outright saying, "Looks like round 2 goes to Kong," that is still the movie definitively saying that it is indeed what it is-round two. Round two was stacked in Kong's favor because not only does he now have a weapon that can effectively use Godzilla's own power against him, leveling the playing field, Kong also uses the environment to his advantage as his simian agility allows him to traverse the urban landscape in ways Godzilla never could. The titular fights in the movie have their own set of rules: whoever gets up first is the winner. Kong got up first at the end of round 2, regardless of whether Godzilla quickly got up moments later. Round 3 is the fairest of the whole movie because both monsters don't use their weapons or their environment, only tooth, claw, and primal rage, something Godzilla has all the time.

For future Crossover Kings video, I suggest Power Rangers as the whole series since they have crossover with Masked Rider, TMNT (twice), Beetleborgs, DC, and Godzilla as well and those are the only ones I know so far PR have crossover with

A great video! I hadn’t realized there were so many crossovers. I’m also excited to see your thoughts on JL vs Godzilla vs Kong. I also think it’s honestly surprisingly well written and I’m glad it’s cast is so big. However I disagree on what you said about Godzilla not having a conclusive fight with Rodan until Final Wars. In Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II he blasts Rodan into a mountain with a huge explosion, and then after a shot of the humans cuts to him leaving the island they’re on. Next time we see Rodan he’s unconscious and injured on the same island several days later. Seemed pretty conclusive to me, even if it doesn’t affect the overall count

Very interesting start to this series. Of course the kaiju king was a perfect starting subject, most of these I had no idea about, but were pretty interesting. Especially the Crayon Shin-Chan one lol. As for character suggestions, I think Sonic and the TMNT would be cool ones to see covered.

Well... let's see where this goes. All these crossovers and he has yet to meet the Transformers. Actually now that I've brought it up, please do Transformers crossovers!

Shovel Knight has appeared in so many other games at this point that I think he's probably one of the first video game characters to look at here, and he's explicitly part of the story of several of them. Not to mention the infamous crossovers with Kratos and the Battletoads. Gunvolt is a hopeful pick if unlikely for me. Between Mighty Gunvolt Burst, Blade Strangers and Blaster Master Zero; he technically has enough to work with (Even if Blaster Master Zero and Gal Gun became a direct part of his canon later on. Yes, *that* Gal Gun).

Ok, how is a crossover being determined? Some can get a little blurry, like with single brand crossover games, and desperate entity spin offs ( for example dissiddia for final fantasy, and persona for the megami tensei franchise). I would assume things like marvel Vs capcom and smash bros would be clear enough crossovers, or do things specifically made as crossovers not count? Just asking so it's clear about the rules
