    I have a Ti Lite wheelchair, and enjoy it. Very light, I can load it into my automobile with no problem, it is a perfect chair for me. I played handball for years, and have had many other chairs, Now I am older, and no longer play, these chairs are Awesome!

    Wow! Your company is just my style! -I've had MS for over 25 years, and I'm finally getting to the point where I have to sell my Merlin titanium mountain bike that we custom built in the early 90's. I love the way titanium feels in a bicycle! It's been great riding a titanium mountain bike all these years, and all that riding probably kept me out of a wheelchair so long. However, I just don't have the balance anymore. I'm only 52 and I've still got adventures to have in life. I think I've found the wheelchair company to get me through this next phase of life... now if I can only figure out the financing. Thanks for providing such a service.

    That is exactly right, when going over bumps, it is a natural decision to wheelie over them

    when it comes to wheelchairs, custom/personal build is a great option, unfortunately, not all insurances cover a high end chair, and most disabled people can't afford the sticker shock

    Just got a TiLite AeroT last week. The chamber mounts screws that hold the vertical strut and wheels are in a notch that is hardly an inch deep and the screws do not go through the metal but only touch the rounded cutouts. I had this adjusted by a health aid professional for center of gravity and next day went over a bump in the sidewalk and the entire assembly on both sides collapsed as well as me to the cement. I couldn’t believe the chair is barely held together in this way. So end of the story...beware.

    Made in America . . . Priced out of this world. Insurance Co. doesn't want to give me something lite and they won't classify me as disabled enough to warrant an electric chair, even though my left shoulder is bone-on-bone w/ the right close behind. Very frustrating being at the mercy of a damned insurance company. If those folk only knew/understood how difficult life w/ a disability really is. This is akin to wheelchair porn, for me, as I'll never get into one of these nice chairs, just like I'll never get into one of those porn stars.

    Is it possible to get the frame so the seating position isn't so tilted, ie hips lower than knees? I much prefer to be only slightly lower hip position otherwise I would find it very uncomfortable though I realise it helps to keep you in place while going down hill.

    i love my tilite areo Z series 2.... i love the new chairs too-- but i DONT like te curved back rigid bar... i like it squared off like the typivcal design, so my back pack lays more on it, with out a rounded hump pushing in the backpack... so maybe that should be a choice to order a flat or curved rigid bar? just a suggestion

  • @MaZEEZaM

    @MaZEEZaM

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Shannonbarnesdr1 I totally agree, the square shape is much preferred, it takes up less space also. The rounded back bar was a poor design choice in my opinion. I would think it would get in the way more when trying to lift the chair over your body when putting it in the front passenger car seat?

  • @Shannonbarnesdr1

    @Shannonbarnesdr1

    8 жыл бұрын

    +MaZEEZaM oh you cant go wrong with a tilite, or a ki mobility rogue. i have both, oh yes brakes are usually ''hide aways'' or scissor lock'' on chairs like this which is the best because it keeps them out of the way when pushing especially if your like me and you have to grab wheel and rim.. i neer been able to use just pushr im... but see with the brakes not over the wheel area it makes it safer.... btu these are custom chairs you can order anything you want ;-)

  • @Shannonbarnesdr1

    @Shannonbarnesdr1

    8 жыл бұрын

    +MaZEEZaM yeah that makes sense -- i think the round back bar might be good on a sports chair if your chair is configured for sports because it would give you the ability to ''roll'' side to side if you flip backwards or tip during rigorous sports activity and what have ya, to more easily get back up right...i think it needs to be an option...but not a change in design that limits you to just that

    It is a matter if your arms can manage your body weight plusthe chair. Why did your P/T place you in a power chair? You cant just swap. The P/T would need to approve how mobile you can be in your independence.

    Hi, I am from UK and I recently bought a TiLite TR, I wanted my titanium frame as natural polished but my dealer Gerald Simons said they do it anymore because it's so expensive. So I had to choose satin finished including my titanium push rims.But this satin polished doesn't look so classy, appears dirty stains on push rims and frame as well as smells bad odder! Why is this? Specially dirty stains!! Is there any idea to make look good and a little bit of shine?

    Good luck especially if you are/become anyway Active as this is the worst chair in my 20 years as a Wheelchair-User Rubbish front wheels and bits falling off the brackets at the back fold and the foot rest split within months has to be drilled out to be replaced in under two years of active use The best Chair I have ever owned and that notwithstanding how heavy it is (Yes it's still going) is the Quickie Revolution as it folds down front and back and sits beside me on the passenger seat(breaks down like a child's Buggy) Sadly SunRise has discontinued it and not planning anything like it in a lighter weight. The Brakes on the TiLite have given up for the second time last week. Definitely the Worst Wheelchair I have had the misfortune to own. Oh in the British Isles we pay in £s what most people pay in dollars and quite often More. Aindre

    I guess it is horses for courses. My Quickie Revolutions did have their issues but by far as a Wheelchair-Dependent person for over 2 decades, I found them to meet my needs more of the time thean any other chair. The TiLite was the worst as their Customer Service is appalling and it fell apart within months of ownership. I find it interesting that so many manufacturers which have invested huge sums of money (And charged huge sums for their respective products) cannot come up with a Chair that is both Reliable and Affordable as so many of us do not have access to State funded chairs

    I have Ti lite tx for 6 years, regretted getting this chair since day one till today.the weak plastic breaks, broke every time ti use it. Notice they rarely have break in their advertisement@!!!! they kept sending the same fragile which break upon usage. After a year i threaten to buy my own set of metal breaks which i will send the send the bill to them. a bigger problem was that the wheelchair cannot be folded and countless times i wold have 5 strong men trying to fold the chair so that it can get into the taxi, which never happened. the parts are low in quality and changing the first 2 weeks will cost me $360 and it didn't solve the problem at all and being out of job for 18 year, the chair was also out of job sitting at a corner of to remind people never to get a TiLite chair. given a change i would use the $7000 spent on broken wheelchair and blow the factory into .....
