Ya know, it's not so much the "Wokeness" as it is just exceptionally bad storytelling and acting. It's like a bunch of 8th grade students writing and acting stories for 2nd graders. And the writing... OMFG. The "Let's keep practicing on this beach" Mandalorians. They deserve to die, like the good citizens of Nevarro... who live in a place with pirates, reject joining the new republic, don't have any defenses, and then cry a pirates show up. I guess that's Disney definition of fantasy: You don't have to sleep in the beds you make.

Grogu returning isn't bad. Luke in legends Accepts that the dogmatic view of the jedi indeed goes against what the jedi stand for (aka love human connection feeling emotions and accepting them as opposed to pretending to be above them) Compared to Canon luke who by all appearances hasn't learned making grogu choose as opposed to let him stay connected and become jedi or accepting him as a force sensitive mandalorian. Writers dropped the ball. It also is more apparent that grogu has exceeded luke in regards to skill. He learned from the best force users during the Republic era academy (most likely yoda and yaddles son)hence why she also appeared in tales of the jedi . After having his memories unlocked luke should have given grogu the sabre and vest one for protection in regards to offence and the defensive qualities of the beskar would have made sense also that ashoka isn't a jedi but force sensitive. They also need to back off from focusing on bo katan and focus primarily on mando and grogu bo should have been the main antagonist this season Moff for as good a villain as he was should have died s2 finale and left contingency plans for imperial remnants to rebuild on mandalore forcing Katan and din to forge an alliance to free the planet from imperial forces and the pair finally dueling it out for the dark sabre with bo and the armourer accepting din as the leader of mandalore.

Yeah, I would have loved to see Lloyd’s acting outshine them by having a villian who was as bad as can be and un remorseful in his purposeful actions. Instead it was like watching a child get caught with his hand in a cookie jar and saying sorry to mommy while getting sent to time out.

You missed the part where Mando sends R5D4 out to the mines first, and when contact is lost, Mando says, Oh well, I didn't really need a robot anyway, I was just too lazy to do it myself. Rendering the previous side quests to get a working robot helper a complete waste of time.

Maybe it's a good thing. Remember that song "Californication". Hollywood and western media had us basically living in la la land with the wool over our eyes while a bunch of p3dos ran the whole thing who consistently screwed over talented people, stole and benefitted from their work, bought their way into governments and kept people living in fictional worlds. I hope people actually wake up and return to the real world after seeing that the stuff they were so invested in was just..well, made up, and open to the whims and fancies of whoever owned it. Hollywood was never that great. It was mostly talentless hacks making lots of money off of unrecognised talent. At some point they started to believe the lie themselves, pushed out the good crowd, and started pushing their own "ideas". Meanwhile the internet became a way for many people to put out their creative work without having to rely on some sleazy p3do.

I think the biggest problem with all of it- they didn’t know the ending before they began. That would have allowed for for shadowing and a strong understanding of what the main charters arcs would be. By season 16 grogu might actually grow an inch and say his first words 😂🤣😂

Seriously, the Big Red Button on Christopher Lloyd's desk that can turn worker droids into killer robots was Lost in Space levels of goofiness.

I genuinely think Bo Katan wasn’t originally meant to be part of the season, it makes more sense for Din (who’s the real owner of the darksaber, killed a krait dragon, defeated Moff Gideon & a dark trooper in single combat, who’s earned the respect of the Jedi & is a genuinely stand up guy) to be the next ruler of Mandalore, hell I even think the Mythosaur scene was only meant to include him, but they changed it last moment to Kahtlee- I mean Bo Katan Kryze

They OPed her and made her stronger and smarter than Din. Literally every female in the show is smarter and craftier or stronger than the men in general or Din and Bo Katan is the ultimate example of that.

I love how it was made clear that Din was being set up to be the next leader of the mandalorians but in season 3 its immediately shifted back to Bo Katan. You can tell that ending really ruffled some feathers behind the scenes and season 3 has been "corrected" because of it.

Way to go, Disney! Make the privilleged, rich, white princess the ruler, not the underdog guy of color! The biggest problem with Bo-Karen is she has a terrible past and stopped to be a total Karen just in this season. She doesn´t deserve to rule. She already had two chances and it ended up badly both times. Her claim to the darksaber is the most legitimate she has ever had but it´s still questionable. If it wasn´t she could take it in ep 2. And her ex-goons-turned-again-goons are spineless jerks and can´t be trusted.

She was already rewarded instead of punished for her terrible deeds. She should dedicate the rest of her life to helping someone much better than her to rule, and that someone is Din who has been foreshadowed as the new Manda´lor since the beginning. He made peace between Cobb´s people and the Tuskens, he already started to unite the Mandos when he took Bo to his clan. Hell, she would be sitting in her castle and swallowing antidepressants until this day if he didn´t go to Mandalore. OK, not until this day. Until that day when the TIE interceptors bombed her home.

The worst part of all is is that us, the fans who are watching our childhood be milked and turned in to a joke are completely outnumbered by newer fans who like Star Wars this way. In my opinion Obi-Wan Kenobi was the worst piece of Star Wars content to ever be released, yet it still did very well money wise and even got positive reviews. As long as Disney still gets money they won't care to put effort into these movies and shows. At this point it's almost relieving to find someone else who also doesn't think the Book Of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Mandolorian Season 3 are cinematic masterpieces and the peak of this once golden, now dead franchise.

I agree. Positive reviews? If the bar is low enough, something boring like Kenobi feels like a masterpiece. In our cinematic age, the bar is extremely low. Also we live in a Like/Dislike society, apparently there is no middle ground anymore. Money? You watch Kenobi by paying a Disney+ subscription (or by saying "ahoy" °wink °wink), you're not paying for Kenobi specifically. It's just content they can put on their platform. They won't release any numbers and the public will never truly know what money they made, it's not like with movies in theatres.

Hehehe. What is the story with her anyway? I had never heard of her before a couple of weeks ago. She was in one of the newspapers in the Uk. Promoting some new "song" I say song and use that word in the loosest possible sense. It sounded like someone trying to crap themselves while yodeling. And she was wearing this skin tight yellow...er...leotard catsuit thing. And you saw everything. Things I never wanted to see. Camel Toe? It was like....I mean..I cant describe the horror. It would be unkind. And the fact she is so obviously over weight. It cant be healthy. And yet there she was...blobbing about like Jabba the Hutt on acid, and sounding like a accident in car horn factory....Honk...hoot...wibble....wonk...bleat...blearghhhhh.... Fair play to someone who is that large and trying to do something good, but...the catsuit...it was...It haunts me. Please...just lose weight for heavens sake....she really needs to. And stop showing the world..its enough to give people nightmares....and I should know.....

Season 3 doesn't feel like Mando at all. Extremely disappointed after waiting so long. Season 1&2 were great. They made Mando into a Beta male. The show is now all about Bo Katan. Gorgu doesn't even have a role anymore.

After the two new movies (never went to see the third) I was apprehensive but delighted at season 1. My main concern was that they weren’t going to be able to keep to the formula and that “baby Yoda” would turn out to just be a gimmick. Season two mostly held together but the episodes seemed to follow a pattern from video games where you have to “find a key in order to proceed” rather than keep a cohesive narrative. At the finale I was shocked they were willing to close Grogu’s arc, but was interested in seeing how the show would develop when it returned. Then news dropped they had fired Gina… and that Grogu would be back somehow. I had no interest in watching after that. It had great promise, but the show couldn’t live up to it.

I bought the blu ray of the first one, but never bothered to buy the other two. Rogue One is the only good movie from the modern era imho. And it is the one that has the least to do with Jedi, the force and this fantasy BS. And yet, it has one of the cooles scene of the COPD-stage-4-patient. It also explains reasonable some "plotholes" of the first movie (how they got the plans, and why the Death Star had this weak spot in the first place).

I'm grateful for small favors, like the fact that Lizzo was fully clothed.

KK forced Grogu to come back mostly because it screwed over Jon and Dave, which was her main goal

I gave up on it after the "you walk in both world's, so you can take your helmet off" episode. This whole thing has become a farce. This is what happens when the creator's book is thrown out and hasbeen try to make up their own shit as they go along to push an agenda over what serves the story or the universe the story is set in. Like I told my family over Good Friday New Zealand lamb roast dinner, "Star Wars is dead. There is no saving it." The same has been happening with Star Trek, and it was about to die too, however Picard season 3 has brought back the diehard fans like myself who have watched almost all TV shows and movies over the past decades. But, even this I am watching wearily cause it could fall back into "its the fans fault our show sucks." And before too long we will back to agenda tv episodes again. I doubt they care anymore. If Chapek was smart he would guy Lucas Film and ask George to come back with a brand new creative team and start where ge wanted to take it after Episode 6. Nut, they won't cause they have too much arrogance and pride to humble themselves to actually admit they got it wrong and that they should have just done it the way George has set out the plots. This is cow that has been over milked. There is nothing but blue milk left in the sack.

I have no problem with Jack. He actually has some charisma and is usually pretty enjoyable in whatever he's in. But any day where I don't have to see or hear about Lizzo the Low-Class, Narcissistic Land Whale is a great day. Season 3 already seemed pretty much unwatchable compared to the previous 2 seasons, but Lizzo the Hut being in it has made it so you could not pay me enough to watch it now.

Seeing Jack Black was okay but what killed it for me was Lizzo's "acting". Favreau is obviously being held hostage. Whatever dirt the studio has on him must be huge. 😂

I know! Because it was ACTUALLY good in Seasons 1-2...Even the Boba episodes with them weren't bad. Then THIS! I mean. I have no problem with Bo Katan being the leader etc. But the all over the place lazy dialogue and shooting and faux story in this season is just... well... it makes me sad...

Season 1 had some eh episodes, but it was great overall, season 2 started the cameo, brain dead dialogue, and side plot pattern that became TBOBF, Kenobi, and the 3rd season. It was okay/tolerable at first, then it became the norm

The mandalolorian should be perfectly good working template of the future starwars, but they have to ruin it again to show weak male characters and to feed abnormally strong and unrelatable super women character. What happen to Hollywood and disney, why they want to push some agenda even though fans rejected so many times. They are butchering all iconic which we loved once.

I hope on the day this book about disneys fall comes out, disney will be proud of it. Because they worked REALLY HARD for this.

I heard a pretty good theory that the CEO Bob Iger knew that firing her would bring a media shitstorm against Disney. Since she’s allied herself with the woke crowd by butchering star wars and the fact that she’s a female executive and bla bla bla. That why she was cut of from announcing new shit and was kept away from meddling in Star Wars for some time. Then Disney changed CEO again and she was back to ruin book of boba. But she probably being allowed to “step down” and retire this year. Either that or she’ll be fired by next year. Disneys board won’t take this anymore, they tolerated her fuckup with the new trilogy but since it’s only Ben going downhill ever since she’s run out of rope

I am glad to see this review. I thought I was losing it since I didn't understand what was going on either. Good to find out that it was just bad story telling.

She Wars, M-She-U, and Indiana Jona. My childhood has been destroyed before my eyes and continues to go down further and further. I think it's time I just stop watching or even paying attention to new movies and TV shows. It all just depresses me.

I wouldn't say that Bo Katan's increasing role as a woman is not itself a problem. Rather it is the implementation of that role which is the problem. When you say stuff like womandalorian it just come off as sexist

What pisses me off the most is how disney (they don't deserve a capital D) has just literally taken a big sloppy diarrhoea shit on every Star Wars fan, ever! Many of us have fond memories of seeing the original trilogy as children back in the 70's and 80s. When disney bought the franchise off of George Lucas, I thought that finally some of the awesome Star Wars paperbacks might finally be made into movies (Shadows of the Empire for example) which was something that many of us had hoped for. Instead we get "woke" disney trash, bad acting, a complete trashing of original Star Wars canon, an epidemic of "girl bosses" turning the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy (Bobba Fett) into a spineless city mayor and the list goes on! For the love of God disney, stop destroying everything that many of us have held precious since childhood!

They literally dug up nostalgia for a two year old saga because that was all they had left. Insane.

The larger a character, story, IP, etc gets Disney's big wigs who dont belong in the writing room start fucking with the stories for political and marketing reasons. At least this has always been my theory.

One day they’re going to be teaching the failure of Disney in business classes and they’ll have their very own powerpoint slide right between Enron and FTX.

I'm convinced this needed to be a limited series. If you wrap it up when Luke comes and takes him, the story is perfect, needs nothing else.

Baby Yoga was too profitable, they couldn't let that cash cow go away so they had to force at least two more seasons. The irony is Grogu is barely involved in this season. Most episodes so far he's a side character at best with hardly any screen time.

That's where it ended for me, no need to watch more. Because Grogu never shows up in future SW movies or is mentioned again it's easy just to accept his fate was a mystery, or maybe he tragically died when Kylo destroyed Luke's school.

Actually People are hating on Jack Black in star wars and i dont really get why. You can criticise the Writing of the Episode (although i liked it very much) but the Actor choice? Jack Black is a good Actor. He by himself doesnt turn Star Wars into a joke. Just because you know Jack Black for certain roles doesnt mean its not okay to cast him. He is a well know and skilled actor so why shouldnt he appear? Just cuz people know him?

Honestly I cried at the end of season 2 and all of it was destroyed the moment Grogu came back… the entire first 2 seasons were pointless…

Oh so this is why modern stories are crap. Fiction: Feelings, Surprise, Epic, Humor, Diversity are necessary points in a plot? Like a soap opera?

Disney clickbaited us with the trailer which made it look din and grogu on the journey to mandalore with some side quest on the way and bo katan entering mid season to fight din and get back the dark saber. Instead they completed the task in two episodes and it suddenly shifted in bo katan show which gives bad taste since no one likes getting clickbaited. If they really wanted bo katan as the main character they should have just made the title Bo Katan and people would have still watched it like the Ahsoka show.

Season 3 has turned into a "mystery science theater" challenge with my friends and I. We just talk over the show and make fun of it, but I don't think that's what Jon Favreau wanted

As a diehard Star Wars fan who LOVED the first 2 seasons.. I didn't watch this one, I was gonna wait til it realeased all 8, just cause Boba Fett, Kenobi, and everything Disney has done just makes me sick.. I knew they were gonna double down and ruin Mando... and they did... but seeing that transgender character episode, where the guy goes IT WAS A TRAP!... and seeing Jack Black, and Lizzo I literally thought it was fake. This is LITERALLY a parody now.

In season 1, didn’t Bo Katan take off her helmet in front of Din, and she explained to him that there are different tribes of Mandalore, and that his was a sect who is very religious

The budget per episode for the mandalorian was around 15 million dollars and as a comparison GOT cost around 6 million per episode( not the last season which cost 15 million). This goes to show that you don’t need a super big budget , looking at you rings of girl power, but you NEED a good story. Also, the costumes and the cgi in season 3 of the mandolorian were f*cking Hilarious.

You can really appreciate just how unique the creatures, species George lucas and his team had created. I think the current creative team has even failed to use the existing creative blueprints that was left by George. I'm trying to understand why on earth are dinosaurs part of starwars.

I'm having a hard time understanding why horned devils were part of George Lucas Star Wars, or why all aliens are humanoid. Fact is the only problem with all these bad movies is that they are a part of "franchises". That equals bad product. Just remember that next time you pay for your stupid spiderman movie, you're contributing to "franchise" industry.

I am truly surprised how John Favreau and Dave Filoni can let the Mandalorian fall so far so fast..Honestly i have no idea what is going on and were this is truly going..Plus I had no idea who Lizzie is but i got serious Rings of Power vibes with Disa and Prince Durin.

Listen to the Shareholder meeting and the stupid nonsensical "non answers" by Bog Iger; The problem is much larger than just Lucasfilm, it's the entirely of Disney as a company and Hollywood in general. The current radicalized political ideology that is pushed by radical activists within the industry is actively destroying all of the major IPs, that includes Star Wars. Their ESG and DEI policies dictated by the current president's party and major institutions are killing the American entertainment industry from within. Star Wars is a dead IP and it's not just KK's fault but the fault of many people including the top executives at Disney and people that go beyond just this company and are involved in the policy making that effect the creation of Entertainment as a whole. There is an industry wide crisis that is getting worse.

It is like they made a good show by accident and Disney top dogs were like: "People are actually enjoying this crap, quickly do something so that we can demoralize them some more".

How does Kathleen Kennedy possibly still have a job?

This was more entertaining than the whole Mandalorian show.

The Black Saber thing looks like something from Power Rangers, Groku jumping around looks like how I would have played with my action figures when I was 12, and those "pirates" kind of look like low budget Mangalores from the Fifth Element.

@@daddystu7046 Yoda moves the same way but he is bigger and not cloaked so you can see more movement from his feet. Problem is they don’t show Grogu lower body so u can’t see him jump he just starts flying and flipping like an action toy. Not a budget problem just little awareness.
