Did u guys notice she kept trying to read mando like she could feel the force in him , she told him to connect to Grogu and the look and tone she used reminded me of Kanan telling Ezra to connect to creature through the force and I’ve noticed some little things that hint at possible force sensitivity

Jango’s armor is Beskar because he was very much a soldier fighting Tor Vizla with Jaster Mareel at his side. Jango was an orphan indoctrinated into Mandalorian culture. His armor is Beskar.

I think the reason Ahsoka didn't say she wasn't a jedi is because casual fans just watching Mando wouldn't understand why she has lightsabers and can use the force but isn't a jedi

Yea agreed, and additionally i think not denying the Jedi title serves her purposes against those she fights. Not sure how public Luke has been making his efforts in making his Jedi Order, but at this time the Jedi would be legendary, mythical figures. Being one, or being seen as one, would probably work in her favor from a psychological standpoint against her enemies. She never calls herself a Jedi, but she doesn't deny it either.

I love how when Asoka said, “And Grogu can choose his path...,” there was a subtle movement of Grogu grasping Mando’s finger. Just like a toddler would. Heart melt. Loved those little things they include.

@@Bryfficial Being able to project as a force ghost beyond death is very new to jedi. Qui-Gonn was the first to start the training though he never finished before death which is why he has only shown up at temples. He got word to Yoda who is the first to complete the training and Yoda told Obi-Wan in RotS before they went into hiding.

I was surprised Ahsoka didn’t join Mando at the end, but it makes sense why because she has her own task of finding Thrawn and possibly Ezra bridger with him. This could also mean that Thrawn has control of an imperial Remnant, and perhaps Moff Gideon is one of his associates in charge of creating force sensitive Dark troopers. Overall this episode was amazing, because it gave me exactly what I wanted too see, a badass Ahsoka Tano in live action. Speaking of a live action transition Rosario Dawson did a phenomenal job capturing Ahsoka’s mannerisms and personality realistically. I love the design they chose for her, and seeing her cloak she wore in The finale of Clone wars was great. A little peculiar why she no longer has the white robes, but it makes sense considering for this episode she was trying to stay in the shadows. I Hope this isn’t the last we see of Ahsoka in The mandalorian because Rosario was truly remarkable in the role.

I don't know it was purposely "fan-service" that her montrals and horns are in the same stage as the Clone Wars Era, and they will be later being upgraded. I assumed she will have a familiar look to Shaak-Ti by now.

@@bencebotye3904 her montrals are shorter for a couple reasons. One is because it was the only way for the choreography to work. The actress who played shaak ti had an incredibly difficult time with mobility because of how long the montrals were on her. Rebels is also very unique stylistically, many things looked different due to the animation style (lightsabers, Vader's helmet, etc.). Ahsoka's montrals are no exception

@@bencebotye3904 it’s a possibility that some togrutas have different Lekku formations, in the prequels Shaak Ti’s are rather long and noticeable, whereas Ahsoka’s are still relatively short either because it was too difficult to replicate the Rebels headtails, or because it was the design that worked best.

Michael Biehn is known for characters that use shotguns. In The Terminator he uses one against the T-800 in most of the movie, and in Aliens he brandishes one and says the line "I like to keep this for close encounters". That's the reason he had a pump action blaster in this.

Ahsoka may seem like she’s sad in some instances, and most she seems fairly neutral and often times more happy. like, she went through a lot, that’s undeniable. but, I think it’s more her friends and those glimpses into her past which make her happy again. I think in a way she’s happier now, more so than what she’s ever been, but can be more emotional at times unlike when she was a Jedi of the Order, but still retains control of herself. Honestly, been a fan of ahsoka since I was a kid back in 2008, and now I’m 18 and so happy to see how far she’s come. she’s perhaps the purest version of what a Jedi should be.

I'd never thought that one day I'd see Lt Dan watching Star Wars.

I have watched a lot of these reactions, no one has mentioned the look at the end, just before she walks away. That is totally Snips from Clone Wars. I was worried about them ruining my favorite character, they did her so right in this episode. Thanks Dave, Jon, Rosario, and everyone else responsible for this.

For example if you beat a game for the first time on the hardest difficulty, that can be a good memorable experience depending on how much you enjoyed the challenge. Another example would be watching a movie for a first time, and hating it. That would be a bad memorable experience.

It's not 4 years. The last time we heard her voice in the Rebels was before the new hope. These events happening here are 5 years after the return of the Jedi. At least 12/13 years passed. She was around 30 there, now she is 45.

Grand admiral is highest rank in the imperial navy along with Grand moff at the highest regional government rank , that puts moff gideon second in command below grand admiral and grand moff. Thrawn is in control of the remaining imperial forces after the ROTJ event

You have to give Dave and John so much credit for being willing to really go all in on this show. The sound design in this episode was so on point, hearing Ahsoka's and Yoda's themes was so great and sad at the same time. Rosario did a great job and damn that reveal of Thrawn.

Given the episode is still up and not taken down @NerdChronic already gets my seal of approval. I know I said it already on the patreon comments but that episode was everything I was hoping we were going to get

I'm calling a final battle between Moff Gideon with the Dark Saber vs. Mando with the Beskar Spear..

I grew up with this character, was 14 when the Clone Wars movie came out (same as Ahsoka in that movie). Seeing her come full circle in The Mandalorian in COMBINATION with Kevin Kiner's inspired composition BROKE ME. If anyone wants to see the reaction on my channel, feel free to do so, I cried like a baby.

@@yanaigelbfish1568 i think this was retconned in The Marshal because Bobas Armor reflected the mining-guild's blasterfire similar to Mando's beskar.

i read somewhere else someone said how it was interesting she held her sabers like most other jedi did until she lost the one then reverted to her normal stance with the saber basically showing she wasn't really taking the fight serious at first

@@tigerstripes5357 I will admit that Lars Mikkelson did an excellent job of giving Thrawn his voice, but Ashley Eckstein did the same for Ahsoka, but she wasn’t chosen as Ahsoka’s live action portrayal, and I’ve always imagined Benedict Cumberbatch to have the look of Grand Admiral Thrawn, and he did play a calculating and strategic minded character like Khan from Star Trek, who one could argue to be the Star Trek equivalent to Thrawn

21:50 the actor he was in game of thrones with his character knew spear mastery. Pedro learned bit of real spear arts so for sure expect a episode of him fighting ppl with it.

I wonder if Ahsoka considers herself a Jedi again, at least by religion. She kinda seemed more like a Jedi this episode than she did in Rebels, but maybe it's just me.

A jedi who makes a murderous series in the shadows, by brutal killings ? It bothers me a bit. What I underline on the other hand, Jedi or not, for a user " lightside" of the force it seems extreme to me. Am I the only one to be a little surprised by her?

@@Thotho886 She was killing soldiers in a war, effectively. If she didn't kill them, they would kill her, not to mention their brutal treatment of slaves. Jedi weren't against killing, particularly in self-defense or defense of others; they were against needlessly killing. For comparison, we see Obi-Wan and Yoda killing clones in ROTS. Obi-Wan cut off the arm of that one guy in A New Hope. Luke killed everyone on the Death Star to save countless lives. And, Luke killed everyone on the sail barge to save his friend, who admittedly was being punished for not returning a debt on time. Those clones didn't choose to fight the Jedi; they were practically being mind-controlled. Those stormtroopers didn't order the attack on Alderaan, many of them may not have even known what was the Death Star was. The fact is that the Jedi are responsible for bringing peace to the galaxy. And sometimes, that means fighting the good fight. And sometimes, that means killing hostiles, even if your enemy is just a bunch of good soldiers following the orders or tyrants. The only morally ambiguous thing she did in my opinion (as far as Jedi religion is concerned) is stealth kills, where the opponent didn't get a good chance to surrender. Also the killings weren't that brutal. She didn't torture them or make them suffer; her kills were swift and effective.

I don't know if you know this but the Enforcer guy who stands off with the Mandalorian is Michael Biehn who played in Tombstone, Terminator and one of the Alien movies. And the woman Ashoka faces off against is played by the Goddaughter of Bruce Lee and is a legendary actor and martial artist in the cinema world. There was some serious pedigree in this episode. Also I heard that Hayden is coming back and is cask as Anakin for season's 3 and 4 and will be interacting with Ashoka. And there were soooo many Old Republic easter eggs in this episode as well as Thrawn and possibly Erza so this is exciting.

I know, right! I love Michael in all the shows he is in. Check him out in the movie, K2. Its really good. "I got no quarrel with you, Mandalorian." "Fight's not with you, Holliday." What a great tip of the hat to a great prior movie showdown scene.

Battle scars on her lekku caused her voice to age. It is known that lekku are used as forms of communication among the Togruta. Scarred Lekku don't vibrate the way they should...therefore lower registry! Just saying...

i dont think so. What reason would Ahsoka have to look for Thrawn if she is not searching for Ezra, who disappeared with Thrawn. I think her and Sabine are just following different hints to Thrawns and thus Ezras possible location

Ahsoka nailing it in live-action is one thing, then she mentioned Thrawn! This is too much lol, no wonder Kyle's head exploded! :D

I'm thinking that right after a Ahsoka got the information about where Thrawn was, that's when she goes and picks up Sabine on Lothal & that's when the search for Ezra begins. In other words, Ahsoka finding out where Thrawn was sets up the ending scene we saw in Rebels.

"I've seen what it can do to a fully fledged Jedi Knight. To the best of us...." She still remembers her master after so long. I hope Luke told her how Anakin was brought back to the light and killed Palpatine.

Fun fact: The HK-87s had the symbol of Thawn's 7th Fleet on the side of their heads.

Sending Grogu to Tython was a good move. It's not only the home of the ancient Je'daii, it's also where the moons Ashla (light), and Bogan (dark), orbit the planet. Grogu would have the opportunity to choose his path and master both sides of the Force, bringing balance. It also provides additional material for new episodes, as well as expansion for future projects in the Star Wars universe. Good move Dave Filoni.

I am so glad this episode of all the episodes did not get blocked. I really wanna see your reaction to Ahsoka, to Grogu’s story and last but not least, Thrawn! 🤣🤣🤣

I haven’t seen the clone wars but I know enough that I know who ahsoka is. She was introduced as a new character to the audiences in this ep. so her appearance didn’t feel like a fan service at all. It felt wholesome as an outsider 😊

I haven't seen the clone wars or rebels and I LOVED this episode. Obviously I don't know Ahsoka's backstory or about Thrawn or the significance of other little details such as the owl, but to be honest after reading so many comments a lot of people are filling in the gaps. I haven't seen the clone wars as I kinda lost interest in Star Wars after the newer movies came out which I honestly wasn't impressed by. I'm only just getting back into Star Wars after watching the Mandalorian which has revived my interest in Star Wars. I really want to watch the clone wars now and I will when I can. This is just my personal take in reference to your curiosity.

That's awesome to hear from the both of you. I really want to know what is my love for Ahsoka and the knowing of certain details versus a actually good episode that people who are not on that same plane will also enjoy. Glad to hear it.

Everything was so spot on in this, everything. The Filoni-verse is where SW is at. Ashoka transfer over was perfect. I cried so many times and have rewatched about 12 times now lol
