Pedro Pascal's voice works so well for some reason. You'd think they would have picked a more "neutral" voice but there's something somewhat unconventional about his voice that just works

I'm still in this mode of like, "Wow, I'm watching new Star Wars canon right before my eyes." And I like it. Hype for next episode. I love the mandalorian armor scene.

Ludwig Göransson did the music for Creed, and composed the Oscar winning music for Black Panther 👍 He's also the genius behind all of Childish Gambinos music AND is the composer on Christopher Nolan's new movie Tenet 🙂 He's gonna have a hell of a career!

Mando'ade live in clans or tribes. There's a lot of background there to learn. The woman in the golden helmet actually mentions "[the beskar] will help the tribe a lot" The intriguing part though is the color of her helmet. Gold means "vengeance". Of course it could mean that she likes gold, but still...:)

You guys are watching all my favorite shows. It’s amazing how much the quality has grown in the sci-fi/fantasy genres since I was a kid in the 80’s.

His hate for droids has to go back to the clone wars he has to have survived the Siege of Mandalore when he was a kid.

The show takes place 5 year after Episode VI. Empire is gone but New Republic is not powerful enough at that point. Not much known about that era. We know Ahsoka Tano 45, Han Solo 41 and Sabine Wren 30 years old at that time. Quinlan Vos's whereabouts unknown. A few months before death of Shara Bey (Poe Dameron's mother). It is possible for the mysterious creature we see is actually Yoda and Yaddle's child. If really 50 years old, that means he/she born 22 years prior to Formation of Empire. Yes, it's the same year Anakin Skywalker is born.

This is going to be a great series! I have spoken.

The Mandalorians and the Jedi are ancient enemies and much of what the Mandalorians made, including armour made from Beskar as the only thing that can resist lightsabres.

The helmet is the only part of his armor that is beskar steel at the beginning of episode other than the shoulder piece after the visit to the armorer.

Of course I'm very late for when these videos were posted, but I needed some company through this awful afternoon of work and I saw you reacted to the trailer for season 2 so I came running to watch your reactions to season 1. Fantastic as expected, I absolutely loved your reaction when you saw Baby Yoda. Wished it had been a complete surprise for me as well. Also Sony's excitement reminded me SO MUCH of my boyfriend's, I smiled a lot the whole time with that.

Yaddle, a she of Yodas race, also appeared in some of the now legends books, especially the Obi-Wan/Anakin Padawan Book series‘ where she also sacrificed herself to save the chosen one! That was the reason why she was only in phantom menace in the Council... In knights of the Old Republic, there is a third member of Theissen species called Vandar Tokare. If I remember correctly, HE was the leader of the Jedi-Praxeum/Academy in the Outer-Rim on Dantooine and was killed, when a large group of Jedi assembled on Miraluka after the Mandalorian War and the War against Revan and Malak by Darth Nihilus who basically exhausted the Life (-force) out of all beings on the planet

She has the force too...Knew to look away...LOL..!!!

First time watching one of your videos and i was thinking "Hm, that sounds like danish english". And sure enough i went to the "about" tab, and it says you´re a couple from Copenhagen! Nå men fed video og glæder mig meget til at se resten af sæson og jeres reaktioner til den!

"That was a surprise. Not what I was expecting at all." That's The Mandalorian subverting expectations. Just in the right way.

I really love the dynamic between the two of you at the beginning. Sonny was so hyper and Kat was just chilling. Really funny. The bounty that talked a lot verses The Mandalorian remided me of The Cheyenne Social Club (Western movie from 1970)...where Henry Fonda wouldn't shut up and Jimmy Stewart was frustrated by his non stop talking. Hilarious. The doctor with Wernor Herzog has a Kamino symbol on his shoulder...so he may be a person who wants to clone the mark? In the scenes during the making of his shoulder plate was made...he was a Foundling (whatever that is), but the ships and the droids that were attacking them (seen in the trailers) were from the Separatist movement. Cause, the little boy seems to be a young version of The Mandalorian. It is SO cool. I loved Kuill the Ugnaught (voiced by Nick Nolte). #IHaveSpoken in the twitterverse. Hilariously quotable. Yes, there was one scene of them riding away from the camera was a little too much CGI, but for the most part is was very well done. Yes, the Star Wars feel. I was taken out of the episode around the middle of the episode...it sounded like Apollo Creed music and it took me out of the episode for a little bit. I think IG-11 will be repaired. Some think that he may go after The Mandalorian for shooting him. Since his central processing unit wasn't hit...so maybe The Mandalorian reprograms him and they become partners? Just an idea. I've seen him in the trailers...so he will be around for more episodes. The young creature of Yoda's species was a really great surprise. Now, will he actually bring the mark in to Werner Herzog's character? The plot thickens. I loved the Western vibe...it works so well with the series. I cannot wait till Friday for Chapter 2.

Mandalorians are not one race or species (not anymore at least), but an entire ideology and culture of nomadic warriors. As such, they tend to accept any people who are worthy and they commonly adopt and take care of war orphans, etc. I guess they finally gave canonical name to those they found and adopted :)

9:06 Kowakian monkey-lizard, there's even a larger, and more violent and vicious version, called a Kowakian ape-lizard. (I apologize if I'm being annoying, but I just like putting out interesting and/or fun facts.)

I love how Kat looked away when the door was about to close on the guy. Don't worry about blood and gore, you have to remember this is from Disney.. The company that caters to kids. You won't see any gore or blood at all on any of their shows.

This show is AMAZING!..."I have Spoken"......

My sister spoiled the awesome surprise at the end of the episode. But in all fairness to her, she knows I've never been huge on Star Wars and needed to get something to convince me to watch the Mandalorian. Now, since I'm so OCD, I have all these Star War books, looking everything up and watching all these Star War shows. The Mandalorian is like the gateway drug into Star Wars or back into Star Wars anything...

all these SW series provoked me into reinstalling and mucking about in SWTOR again, after a few years away. and after 2 days practice I am back to reading Aurebesh alphabet fluently again! That sign on the bounty puck ad the beginning says "Wanted"

I love this first episode.

IG played second fiddle but i know how many of them could be out there

I like you two noticed the Native aspect. Being a Native "American" and from the US, there were some aspects to a heritage of being from a Tribe with clans that are attacked and displaced, but will that be a main motive in the story, where is he going and why... If the story holds up, this is a series I am on board with. Loved it.

What!!! All the Witcher books, and a live action Star Wars (with a whole tribe of dispersed Mandalorians)….Sonny's head must have fell off, this holiday season (good job Kat ;)

I want the second chapter, 38 minutes have passed me very fast. Two things that many people don't know: the droid ig 11 (I think it was 11 I do not remember) another bounty hunter as he had several bodies and could transfer the memory from one body to another so I think we will see him again. and second thing, one of the rules of the bounty hunter guild, you can't kill a guild mate to stay a reward, so I think that when the droid ig recovers his memory in another body he will tell the guild and at least in addition to the empire (so it looks in the trailer) the guild will go for him ... greetings peace

Britain has to wait because of an agreement between Disney and Sky I've heard. They aren't doing this by choice. It's a legal issue and they just have to wait it out.

Of course it's by choice, they own the content. Go talk to netflix and amazon, cancel your nonsense streaming service nobody in their right mind is going to buy and stop faffing around. The trouble with trying to turn the UK into the US via commercial coercion is it never ever works because we're not dumbasses. Disney+ in the UK has already failed and when they finally get it up nobody will buy it.

Are you seriously saying Disney is choosing to just let go of the massive amounts of revenue they would get if they released Disney+ in the UK right now? They would do anything to get the money they're missing out on. It's called business, capitalism. No sane company would just refuse money. But tthey can't do what they want, because they can't break the law.

Gosh Kat is literally GLOWING in this video, drop dead gorgeous and you can just feel the excitement radiating off of Sonny the second this video starts. So excited to watch this reaction!

The reason for the death Mark is that Yoda's species being force sensitive palapatine/sidious would not want to have to deal with potentially another Grand Master level Jedi is the infant is as strong as yoda in the force ... A timeline note the infant was born roughly ten years before the events of the phantom menace

I appreciate the fact that the show does more show than tell. Its a huge mistake a lot of shows fall into, massive exposition. Show us the stuff dont tell us.

James Mayes Part of the reason its not exposition heavy is because Favreau and Feloni know much of the audience already knows this lore from Clone Wars and Rebels.

I have to admit the script in this episode is much better than in the last two movies.

I totally get why you'd think that! But Rex, Wolffe and Gregor hid on a more desert like planet called Seelos, where they encountered pretty similar creatures. The team behind the series will probably release a bunch of stuff about what we see and the places/planets we visit. If they haven't already done that 😅 / Sonny

I promise not to be upset, it is just interesting to hear things like this from people who live so far away. i love everything about it...its everything i was hoping it would be except for one thing....i was kind of shocked that it was only 38 minutes long. i thought itd at least be an hour. are all of them going to be that short? theres only 8 episodes in the season you know...maybe disney didnt have as much faith in it as they should have and their just testing the waters or something...i dunno. great reaction as always guys!

I think it might be able to withstand a quick cut or something like that, but lightsabers are still able to penetrate it. At least according to old canon, I believe. I hope the series address it at some point! They might change it up, who knows 😁 / Sonny

@@KatSonny Yeah my understanding is that Beskar is resilient enough that it cannot be casually cut by a saber, but it is by no means invulnerable. If it were that invulnerable a material they wouldn't be able to shape and forge it into armor.

Did the Mandalorian give his bounty payment to the blacksmith out of the goodness of his own heart? Or was it payment for forging him a new piece of armor. Probably not something many people would be able to do.

RSharpe Both. He gave it to the clan and in return received an upgrade from his payment. All the Beskar that was left over from making his pauldron went to the clan.
