That's a common fallacy. Second, "WHITEWASH a coward & TRAITOR!!!" I assume you refer to Lee Kuan Yew? Oh, the disrespect! Look, nobody is perfect, and his leadership definitely isn't to everyone's tastes, but it is undeniable that without him, Singapore might barely survive. The economy might be so bad you might never get a chance to sit confortably at home and angrily blame LKY on your keyboard. And why is he a TRAITOR!!! ? Lastly, don't you think it makes for a more intriguing story for Lee Kuan Yew to have had a more dangerous survival story?

This man was really a great benefactor to LKY and Singapore. If not for him, Singapore will definitely be a very different place today

That one decision to "go back and take his clothes" forever changed the history of Singapore. It's amazing how one little split second decision can change the world so much. George W. Bush also made such a split second decision that led to him surviving WW2 and forever changed history.

It’s good that George W Bush survived, but pity the millions of lives that perished and/or injured during the senseless Iraqi War.......

It wasn't just he who was lucky, it was also very lucky for Singapore that a man of such vision lived to see that vision for Singapore realised.

He believed that he was lucky, but I truly believe he was destined. Rarer than an occasion of blue moon, Mr. LKY is chosen by the heaven, implied by fate to build the nation, and fulfilled his destiny.

What a remarkable story. To this day, I still continue to learn and draw inspiration from the inimitable LKY.

This man Mr Koh was from Fukien province of Putien Henghwa. Most of them came to Nanyang in Dutch Indonesia, British Malaya and Singapore as rickshaw pullers.

How ironic that the poorest of the poor saved the savior of Singapore Mr. LKY. There should be a movie made about this amazing story!
