@6:38 what he said there hit me HARD because I lost my brother (he was only 25) Im trying to fight back the tears here while I'm typing at work. I had a reiki session for my birthday and it was crazy because I heard my brother's voice tell me (while deep in meditation) "I had to die so you can grow" experiencing that loss really forced me to face things in life that I would've just ignored if I never lost him. Life is crazy man....

I feel you on such a deep level. My little brother passed at 26 to addiction. He suffered so much the years before he died which allowed to me to grow so much as a human. I wouldn't be the person I am today, for the better, if it wasn't for my brother passing. 💞

I read the Conversations books too Steve-O ❤ Good stuff. We are not separate from God. That thou art. You do not “lose” spiritual connectedness… Life is similar to a movie being projected onto a screen. You are the screen, not the movie. When we get too involved in the movie & it’s characters, we “forget” who/what we actually are. Remain splendidly neutral and remain pointed that you are the screen, not the movie.

Life is rough so if there's something that can help with this that isn't drugs or alcohol (in this case a book) who are we to say that's a bad thing. The reality is, no one truly has the answers. We're just all along for the ride and trying to make the most of it in our short time on this earth. Respect to Steve-O and Scott for putting out thought provoking content each week. I rewatched out on bail last night and I really struggle to comprehend that the Steve-O of today is the same one from those old videos.

This is a fantastic interview and conversation. I feel the need to clarify something mostly for myself but maybe others might benefit from hearing it: treating others the way you want to be treated does not mean being a nice guy. It means showing others love and compassion in a way that is authentic and true to who you are. Remember that lest you fall into the dreaded nice guy syndrome.

Great podcast, Steve! Conversations with God series has changed my view on life and death. It has also given me a new purpose. Thank you for introducing a new audience to this beautiful conversation. One of my favorite quotes from his book is, "“You are goodness and mercy and compassion and understanding. You are peace and joy and light. You are forgiveness and patience, strength and courage, a helper in time of need, a comforter in time of sorrow, a healer in time of injury, a teacher in times of confusion. You are the deepest wisdom and the highest truth; the greatest peace and the grandest love. You are these things. And in moments of your life you have known yourself as these things. Lost my dad to mental health and addiction so much that I was in and out of foster homes and boys' homes here in Portland, Oregon. I struggle with thoughts and feelings that his death was somehow my involvement. However, it's the fight or flight trying to find blame because I love someone so much. 🤷 Family dynamics without marriage and partnership caused my older siblings and I to hold a grudge and hate for a long time's of sad and depressed days. A new day is tomorrow. If you want better, write the problematic one's down for a later discussion. Alone or with a close friend that listens.

Aron Ra would be an amazing guest for Steve O. I want to see Steve just absorb that knowledge and be in aww of how brilliant he is.
