This is the assembly of my guitar #10, 'Benu'.
A beautiful and light aged Red Western Cedar that will pair with the back and sides of 'Green Ebony'. The bracing is my take on the traditional 7-Fan Bracing System, based in Hauser, with inspirations from Friederich for the Cedar.
In this video, I finally had the time to assemble the guitar and bind it. Had much going on at the workshop the last months. Assembly, or "closing the box" as luthiers like to say, is such an exciting moment of the build when all the pieces one has been working on finally take the shape of a guitar!
I am particularly fond of the Spanish technique of clamping with rope, though I still need some practice on it, I feel I have already come a long way.
