I seriously doubt many people, if any, wear a glowy foundation without setting it. So what's the point of doing a glowy foundation test WITHOUT setting powder?!?!?! 🤔😂 It would slide off anyone's face. Your natural oils come thru through the day so...can't believe ppl would tell you NOT to set.

The Flower Beauty Light Illusion (which was my favourite before it left the UK) has little glitters in which made it look soooo beautiful on the skin. You could see them close up but if anyone was close enough to see them they needed to back up!

I have normal to dry skin. I hated it. It was one foundation that I could not wait to wash off. When we received it at my sephora I wore it for a few hours and removed my entire face before I finished my shift. To me, it needs more tweaking but it has potential after redoing the formula

I own MUA foundy for £4 ish and it has to be the best product on High st. Good coverage. Choose matte or dewy both amazing finish. Shade range supports all skintones. No breakouts or cheap scents. For high end I highly recommend Burberry Glow Foundation..

Soph could you do a video testing HNB cosmetics products? I just commented on your tweet about the best loose powder and HNB is definitely the best I’ve used. I’ve been using nars soft matte foundation for a few months and my makeup would separate and slide off my face. With the HNB powder (and a trigwell powder puff - also amazing) my makeup stays on all day!!! I’ve not tried her foundation or concealer yet 😊x

I agree checking the swatch sheet most shades are warm or neutral no true cool shades and the range is limited

love your reviews, they are my favorite out of all the review channels I follow!! 💗$45 is about average for non drug store foundations. for example the ones you mentioned are $45 or more. Dior $55, Charlotte is $45, Nars is $50. maybe you have been gifted to many and don't remember the prices lol💗

Please could you try the Revlon Colourstay Foundatiom in combination/oily. This version looks so good. Even though I would go for the normal/combo this Foundation is so good. I’ve mostly used high end Foundation I love it. Would be good to get another opinion xxx

Been waiting for this review! The undertone shades are so odd! With the Charlotte tilbury beautiful skin foundation an advisor in store told me the cool shades are warmer than the warmer😂 Makes no sense to me but she was right so this foundation must be the same

Just goes to show, Hydrated vs Dehydrated isn’t the same thing as Dry vs Oily. Even the oily skinned peeps need to hydrate/moisturize. Not that you haven’t 😊 but people tend to think it’s the same thing.

I have the same skin type as you, I have eczema and rosacea so my dry areas are dry but my oily spots are so oily. it’s such a pain in the ass, I’ve started using two different primers to help and I’ve found some success in doing that while also still powdering my entire face and setting spray

Ugh I have exactly the same struggle. At this point I’ve just made peace with the fact that my skin will never look like in those ads and that people are probably not really looking at my makeup from that up-close anyways. But I tend to go for more hydrating formulas to smooth over my dry patches and then use blotting papers on the really oily spots rather than powder throughout the day. Also Mac Fix+ before and after powder has helped so much, just drenching my skin in it. What primer do you use? I have yet to find one that doesn’t make my foundation weird in my eczema spots, so I usually just leave it at sunscreen.

Do you also have this thing where a foundation looks stunning one day and then awful the next? Because I think I love a foundation/ concealer one day and then hate it the next, because I feel like there is really no formula that has worked with my skin through all its moods 😩 let me know if you have any recommendations

@@jennistone8740 for my dry areas I really like the honey dew me up primer from nyx. I used to work for nyx as an mua, but It’s the only thing that my skin seems to like. I’ve been using it for years even just bare faced and it’s super hydrating but not in an oily way. It seeps into the skin. It also has skincare benefits to it like topical collagen, honey extract, lavender extract, etc. it does have denatured alcohol in it which is the only ingredient I’m not super fond of since it’s drying but I haven’t noticed a increase in dryness with my skin ever using it. And yes I do have that issue with my foundation laying different depending on the day. I have a decent collection of makeup cause I’m a mua so I usually take a good look at my skin before and after primer and determine which of the foundations are gonna be best for that day. I’m not recommended hoarding makeup but definitely have 2-3 foundations cause rotating which one you use definitely helps

I have combination skin and I don't like the foundation and it didn't blow me away, when I blot my face it did go patchy x

I have watched several reviews and it just don't looks good on very many people..... ESPECIALLY TEXTURE. ..I feel like it almost ENHANCES the worst parts of skin like texture,pores, and dry patches......like it doesn't PERFECT anyone's skin except for maybe those that already have very smooth skin...... IDK..I think I just expected to much 😭

I recently purchased this foundation because everyone on KZread hypes it up. I am dissapointed I have mature skin bit on dry side but no wrinkles I have pretty smooth skin but this foundation settled and made my skin look wrinkled and creased badly I will be returning it. It's so weird because as oily as it got on you, I still feel like it actually made your skin look really dry. At all stages it looked very dry to me.
