I cannot tell you how may beauty youtubers I've unsubscribed from because I couldn't afford a single product of what they used. I'm a broke PhD student and I can't justify spending 40€ on a foundation. All the high end makeup I own are Christmas or birthday gifts I've received. Thank you for all your drugstore makeup videos you and Steph are my YT queens. BTW I woukd love if you could do a men Christmas gift guide, I always find them the most challenging while buying gifts.

I always keep soph’s recommendations stored in the back of my head for when I go into Superdrug & boots

An affordable gift guide actually sounds pretty interesting if you have time in your schedule to film it. I do love your videos. Whenever I see them in my subscriptions tab, I always click on your them first.

You HAVE to try the brand Essence. I don't think it's popular in the UK, but it's a continuously growing brand (I remember it since forever) & they make the most beautiful/quality products, plus they're SUPER affordable! Huge bonus their amazing mascaras ❤️

i really recommend the Primark prep + perfect glow setting mist, its so nice, adds a glow and hold makeup on, its only like £3/£4 too

You could always do a half and half comparison look. Do half your face with cheap products and the other half with expensive. That way you can directly see and feel the difference 😊

Yessss! This was much needed! I feel like so many beauty KZreadrs have gone a lot more expensive. I like those reviews but my wallet does not 😂 its always good to remind yourself you can get a good face of makeup from the drugstore!

There's a concealer in wilko body something I got to go with a tinted foundation as didn't want full coverage 1.50 and its really great!

Speaking of cheap makeup: Sheglam has really upped their game. They now have everything in liquid and cream, as well as powder and sell sth for every single part of the face and makeup stage. From primers and powders to different foundations, liquid/ cream/powder bronzers, blushes and highlighters, mascara, eyeliners, eyeshadow palettes, eyeshadow creams etc etc etc. I have two of the lipsticks, lipliners and a browpencil and those were great. But hearing such amazing things about their liquid/ cream stuff I would love to hear your opinion on a full face of Sheglam (Shein makeup).

I’ve found such a good balance between drugstore & high end makeup, and a good combination of products I know work well on my skin. I genuinely think it’s such a person specific thing, but you can definitely get amazing results with drugstore makeup. Also, how did the Taylor ticketing go? 😂😭

Do half and half! Expensive vs cheaper- compare the products you use in this video with the expensive, I’m so intrigued which side would actually come out better or if there’s any real difference and it’s just a price tag they wanna put on it for no reason other than wanting to be ‘high end’

I was very tempted to get the new Lisa Eldridge Sorcery palette (£50!) but being a new Mum on a budget, I’m going to get this £5 17 one! Looks v similar and really beautiful! I was shocked by how good the Rimmel kind and free foundation. It looks and lasts amazing. Now Sephora is in the UK, would you eventually do a full face of Sephora collection the Sephora brand of makeup? X 💝💝 Also a brush reccomendation that is super affordable and mine have lasted me forever is the Jessup brushes. 💝💝

There are super performers in each range. For beginner the Eco and Real Techniques offer good value bundle sets. Bobbi Brown brushes are easily identified as they have their purpose printed on them, as opposed to Mac which are all numbered. For the eye area def worth spending more on softer bristles as any drag will accumulate tomorrow's wrinkles! Storing them away from damp, washing gently and drying horizontally will preserve their life and give you many year applications

If you can still buy the Catrice Cheek Lover oil-infused blush I so recommend it! I have the shade 010 (Blooming hibiscus). It blends beautifully and works for both dry and oily skin without patching.

I say this as an expensive makeup lover, the only difference between cheap and expensive makeup is the packaging, because usually the products are all just as good. Sometimes the $$$ has glorified ingredients, but whatever 🤣. I buy it for the packaging. Love your vids Soph

I really like the 17 Foundation but I've noticed you have to use a decent powder. On it's own it's a bit too glowy for me but with the Fenty powder or Laura Mercier powder it looks flawless on my combination skin. I just wish I could get my actual shade hahaha Real techniques brushes are a bit expensive for what they are but in TK max are like £3 each! B perfect brushes are really nice especially on sale

Oh and the best cheap highlighter for me if the Revlon one that looks like it has dragon scales pressed into it!

Essence also has a lot of affordable but good makeup

The Made by Mitchell Blursh liquid blushes/bronzers are reasonable on his TikTok shop and come in great value packs! A little extra initial outlay, but they last ages as they’re super pigmented. Plus you often find brand new ones on Vinted and eBay from people who have purchased the packs for specific colours. 🖤

It looks just as good as high end. It's great to know that drugstore make up is just as good quality. Definitely would love to see your dearest make up look x

I loved primark when I studied in England and I’m still waiting for one to open in southern Cali!!

MUA cream blushes are £3 and my absolute favourite! I also just got some MUA 5 pan eyeshadow palettes and the quality is sooo good, they were only £3.75! Cannot recommend either highly enough, I would pay double if not triple the money for them

the eyeshadow and the lipcolor together are goals.

Fingers are the best tools with the cheap eyeshadow palettes. I have the cheap revolution palettes, the first ones that they came out. The fallout is horrible abd the pigment is barely there. Finger does the job. Now revolution palettes are pretty good

The B by Superdrug liquid blushes are great, as are the Makeup Obsession ones!
