I'm currently ready TKA for the first time, still around 20% more to finish. I laughed so hard so often, especially when Huang Shaotian makes appearance. This dude is hilarious! Like when he saves the day by logging in to the smurf account just to spam "PK PK PK PK PK PK PK!". He's obsessed with Ye Xiu lol

Yeah. Needs some getting used to. But, once you are used to it, there's quite a few with nice stories. Lately, Chinese animes seem to be getting more acknowledgement and more seems to come out. Japanese animes lately are pretty stagnant unfortunately. I can't seem to find anything new and fun to watch among Japanese animes.

sounds like otaku behavior. some say english don't have enough emotion and then only expectable language is japanese...even though the original can be korean or chinese. chinese dub of King's Avatar is great, if you give the chance to listen to another language that isn't japanese.

​@@whitecoffee05 no it's horrible as with most Chinese dub and acting and coming from someone who speak the language natively. It's not just this anime it's most Chinese shows period. Their VA are all trained to like have a very standardized sound. It's absolutely uncanny how all these voices can sound exactly like voices from cartoon I watch as a kid over 20 years ago. Like same 7-10 immortal VA doing all the voicing acting forever lol.

Actually being Chinese myself I can tell you the voice acting are pretty on point. Shaotians va really brought out his character being an absolute chatter box, Yexius dry humour, or when he's roasting someone with his clever come backs were hilarious. I'd say better than the live action version of kinda avatar. The VAs also adjusted their voice for when the scene is portrayed in a less serious and cute animations to make those parts much funnier. There are lots of reasons why alot of people would prefer JP anime or VA, reason being it's because JP VAs exaggerates the emotions they are portraying in their lines and character. This is how in most animes you get those really impactful moments when the character your watching is going through a very strong emotion albeit being, anger, rage, sadness or grief.

It's not for everyone. To like the voice acting of someone, you'll need to her used to hearing the language. If you are used to Japanese, you'll find it difficult to like Chinese. That's why I normally like to watch movies in. Their original language with subtitles. Once, you get used to the language, the anime becomes nice to watch and you won't be bothered by the voice acting.
