The Magick of the Fae: Flower and Garden Fairies and How to Attract Them

Фильм және анимация

I hope you're all doing well! I'm happy to share another faerie video with you all! We are still talking about earth elementals and this week I'm touching on flower fairies. There are many, many types of garden fae so I suggest reading the Secret Commonwealth by Robert Kirk. I will be doing a video on books about the fae next!

Holy moly people, she’s not making the fae sound negative! Working with them is a serious practice that requires a lot of dedication and knowledge and you can get yourself in a great deal of trouble if you don’t know what you’re getting into! The fae isn’t all rainbows and tinkerbells, don’t get mad at her because she’s telling you the truth about something that you don’t want it to be! Keep doing your thing mint, I really love your videos and you provide wonderful and genuinely helpful advice to people who really want to learn 🧚🏼‍♂️🍄🖤

The fae have their nature, they have different morals than humans do, some things we say everyday don't mean squat to them, some things we do everyday may be deemed disrespectful to them, it's always good to learn about the good and the bad that could come of a situation when working with the fae, this is what I have learned watching videos such as hers, if I ever choose to work with the fae somewhere down the line I will be glad that I informed myself beforehand before even making anything to bring the fae into my home or anywhere near it and have a relationship with them. But it's always important to be informed and learned before you work with any otherworldly entity period :)

Speaking of Faery rings and off looking animals. Two quick stories. The first I was walking to the store with my sister and cousin and we saw a faery ring that sparked a conversation about faeries that lasted the whole trip. Mainly because I had got the compulsion to want the dance in it. On the way back I told them I think it would be lovely to meet faeries. He said something like well here's your chance go ahead as we neared the ring again and he and my sister started chuckling at me so. Keep in mind they had been picking at me being a scaredy cat all day. So I handed my stuff to him went over to the faery ring and said I would like to meet you, Hopped in, and started dancing the only parts I knew to an Irish dance a friend of mine showed me while singing a little ditty. Everything at that moment is a little fuzzy I all i really remember is dancing. Then next thing I know I'm being pulled out. My cousin held me by my shoulders and with a firm voice told me to never do that again. I was still giggling, but they were so serious. I had random giggle fits that whole day. Each time they would look at me with concern. A few days later I asked my sister why they were mad at me and what happened. She said they weren't mad just scared. And told me that I blinked out twice in a matter of seconds then it seemed as though I was fading away right in front of them. And as it was going on the were yelling at me to get out and that I had told them I couldn't. I don't know if they remember, but I do. The second again I was walking with my brother and we were walking back home from getting pizza. Now the pizza shop is on our towns main street (which is like something you'd see out of a western and behind the side with the pizza shop and theater is a parking lot and empty lots overgrown with plants we use to play in these lots as kids)and around the corner from our old house. Next to the pizza shop is an alley then an old theater. So walking past these two buildings on our marry way home something black comes out of the theater window almost run into my brother then fly past us and down the the alley. And for the few seconds I saw it it looked like a beautiful black, grey, and purple butterfly fly... only thing it had arms, hands with covering its mouth like it knew it had a close call and legs and feet. I look over to my brother who looked like he had seen a ghost. And I knew he saw what he looked like before he started to change. He finally asked me what the heck that was (though he used more profanity). And i was like I think it was a faery. Is eyes widened even more and I guess he saw it on my face and how turned around a little that I wanted to see where it when and gave me a flat out no and to not talk about what happende then rushed us home. But ofcourse I told my sister. I can't remember which happened first, but i do know they both happened during the summer. Well those are just two experiences I think I was in middle school when they both happened. Hope you find them as entertaining as i still do.

When my mom was little growing up in England, my grandpa told her that if she saw a tree with an opening near the roots, a fairy lived there. He told her to knock on the tree three times, say "Fairy, fairy in the tree, won't you come out and play with me?" and leave an offering of jam and custard (my grandpa's favorite food). My mom said she used to leave her snacks in front of trees and play with the fairies in her imagination for hours and hours. Not exactly garden fairy related, but I wanted to share anyway!

I was very inspired by this video and started an outside area garden. I bought bird feeder and different potted flowers. The one thing was last year there was a roofing project and the shingles were left in that area and I needed to get rid of them.. They were very heavy and it would be a projects clearing all of them. .. I burned an incense and asked the fairys to help with my garden ..bring in birds and help with the flowers... well I normally only see robins and sparrows...now I see lots of cardinals and bluejays and doves and this is the weird part.. a guy pulls over and asks about the shingles ..I said he can have them and he cleared all the shingles.... I just left some walnuts and honey as a thank you to the fairys..lol

I've heard the thing about the fae quickly transforming into bugs and it just kind of occurred to me watching this video of a time that has always felt really off to me. I've had fae experiences ever since I was very small and have always been very connected to faeries, and there was one time, when I was maybe about 8, that I woke up randomly in the middle of the night and saw a black shape on the wall, I turned my light on and realised it was the BIGGEST spider I had and have ever seen. I screamed the house down and shut my eyes tight but when I opened them, quite soon after, it was completely gone, my parents couldn't find a trace of it, and I felt so shaken by the experience I couldn't sleep for a few days. I know spiders can get away pretty quick, but it was abnormally large for where I live and the whole thing felt so off, especially how I woke up randomly and immediately looked at the wall. I'm not sure though, can the fae turn themselves into spiders lol? and if it was a fae creature, it certainly wasn't the friendly sort I was used to :s

I had a very similar experience to this in my restroom where I saw it crawling out of the corner of my eye and up the wall. I looked away and the massive spider had vanished into thin air? I still haven’t found ANY trace of it and I hunted all over the house. Could have just quickly crawled into a crevice maybe? Hopefully? I like to think that instead of fae seeing me on the toilet....

Idk if this is a fae thing... we like to joke that my daughter is a changeling (bc of some traumatic medical events when she was born that resulted in her being out of our sight for the first day or so and because she was given two lives, essentially). On the baby monitor in her room, we used to see these crazy glowing orbs floating all around. They didn’t behave like dust mites. They would come in, hover over her crib, and move on the direction they came or in a separate direction. They moved deliberately, like there was a sentience guiding them. They used to show up a lot when she was upset or crying. One time is looked like it was raining in her room, but it was all the orbs. Idk if this is spirit stuff or faery stuff. Either way, it was odd.

So one summer, I stayed with my cousins, and when we were visiting another cousin, I walked around their yard. I noticed three rings of a darker shade of grass in different places in the yard. One was a rather samll one, close to a vine of Trumpet Vine, another was a ring next to and under a willow tree, and the last was in a very grassy area in a back corner of the yard that no one ever went near, even though it was beautiful and inviting looking. The back corner had two very big evergreens that concealed much of the back of the corner, and bunnies were frequently seen coming in or out of this area, as well as deer occasionally. In that back area, there is also a vine of Trumpet Vine. My cousins have a cat and a very clean and tidy home. They are also very environmentaly responsable. Knowing all that I did about the fae, I kinda knew what was going on, but I didn't understand the extent of it. All I knew was that the fae resided there because of the rings. But watching this video, I checked off SO many boxes. And as I was watching, I KNEW, like I just KNEW that the Trumpet Vines and Hummingbirds that frequented the garden were a large part of it. In my own research, if a Hummingbird is attracted to your garden, then the fae most likely will be do. And as for the back corner that no one ever went in to, I think it's pretty cool that everyone just completely avoids that area. Someone like me would normally LOVE to go back there, but I always kind of skirted around the area. Pretty interesting in my opinion.

i live in the outskirts of a city, it’s still city like but infront of my house we have a little forrest area. i used to walk my dog down there until i started to feel as if i was being watched. something about there has strong energy. they say there are deer around there but in my years of living here have never seen any. i also noticed when they started to build in the farm next to the forrest area was when i started to feel uncomfortable there, i have a feeling they are unsettled there pr maybe they left that area. flowers used to bloom there and me and great grandma used to take the flowers and replant them in the garden but now there’s no longer flowers there ever since the people who take care of it started to care less. Also when i was younger and me and my friend used to go to this forrest near my old house we used to play pretend that we could see the faeries but the strange thing was we often felt things fly past our heads but when we looked there was nothing. i’ve always been fascinated with faeries and ever since i’ve stumbled across these videos i now wanna keep my garden safe and make sure they are happy. also when i do go to that forrest, i often see dragonfly’s with blue and pink wings, also on a school trip to one of the big parks in my area i saw so many colourful dragon flys which is not really something we get round here

I try to stop my pets, but sometimes they find a "snack" Something I use to keep not so nice bugs from snacking om my plants/veggies is dishsoap+water or dishsoap+water+hot sauce. Honestly I think it's important to listen to your intuition when working with spirits, set boundaries, expectations, and just like with people it's important to communicate these things with spirit! And maybe if you are scared to work with any entity it just means you aren't ready yet, not that the entity is bad exactly? Just not for you right now. And EXACTLY what you said Mint!!

I often see faeries disguised as little creatures like dragonflys, bumble bees, and once - a groundhog. This is the largest animal ive ever witnessed one take shape. I think it was a gnome.

I dont think you make them seem negative. I actually really appreciate you cautioning those who are curious about them, because they live in a heightened state of defense, like other wild woodland creatures. If someone wants to interact with foxs, for example, you would warn them that they can charge & attack you if you don't behave accordingly. They need to be treated with respectful caution.

My fae experience was a very exciting and heartfelt one: -I had my first fae experience on Nov 1st which is said to be a day when the faery realms are more visible to the naked eye. -During this faery experience my clairvoyant gift was activated by the sudden encounter. -Also I should mention my faery experience happened within a hollow ditch of a tree outside of my home in which I have a deep connection with. -I was coming back from my dad's and I saw this black figure arising from the ditch and as I looked closer it was moving out from the ditch (this was nighttime). I didn't really think much of it until I ran upstairs and had a photo of me when I was a baby with a green heart shaped orb around my face: green heart shaped orb means to have a gentle and caring love for nature. (Which is true because I love nature and care for it so seemly). -As I was making my way downstairs to show my brother the photo (he lived downstairs from us at this time. ) my vision swirled with powerful green energy ways that I could see with my naked eye and it flickered on and of twice, and when I looked down at the ditch I saw a angelic like being, - a undine fairy with fairy wings and ginger-brown mid length hair waving and smiling at me. She was the fairy from my dreams. I was so overwhelmed with joy and I frantically waved back at her with a wide smile on my face because I would always constantly dream about the fairies every night or have some sort of astral travel experience. -After when I told my brother and his girlfriend my experience I saw three heads popping up and three hands waving at me as I was making my way upstairs. So I am immensely grateful for this experience and grateful for this gift to see the fae every night up until now. ✨🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️

I passed a ring of rocks on a river trail. Not only did I suddenly go too far past the trail entrance/exit, but I accidentally ran my friend's bike through a turd pile. I definitely must have passed a fairy ring, even if it was human made, there was definitely some fairy mischief going on.

I love your videos, especially the fae ones 💖💖💖 I find that interesting St. John's wort. As an herbalist, it's one I wildcraft (after leaving an offering) to make herbal remedies for mood. The oil is a beautiful blood red color, which is really interesting from yellow flowers. Alchemically its said to ward off evil spirits, so maybe those disappearing after picking it didn't have the best intentions with nature hmmm...

That's interesting what you say about the St. John's wort plant and not to pick it. In Ireland, the wild hawthorn tree/Bush is something you're not suppose to touch, especiallly in a fort. You just respect that they belong to the good folk and you leave it alone.

Hey Guys! I recently started researching about the faery realm, and I’m genuinely wondering : Why would you work with faeries, knowing that they can turn bad on you at any time if you forget them, if your shit are not together, if you “disrespect” without even knowing that you might do so, when you can work with a bunch of angels, archangels, spirits, elements, pachamama, galactic beings, who will NEVER let you down, even if you fail them sometimes? Why would you sign some lifelong contracts with such unpredictable beings? What are the benefits compared to working with other entities? That’s a long ass question but hopefully someone can enlighten me. Peace !

For me I enjoy being held accountable for my relationships, especially with nature. I feel like I owe a lot to nature for my sustenance and happiness so I want to know how I can be kind and helpful, even if it's tricky and particular. This is just one of the many reasons I'm drawn to the fae but I like how you're asking. With belief systems it's always good to ask "...but why?". I'm still working much of this out.

I appreciate the Fae but I dont work with them. I believe some people are just super connected to the Fae. And its the same as a coven; people can turn on you and such but witches still work with covens. Why? They felt called to it. As long as the person feels called to it and realizes the risk, I feel it is up to them entirely whether or not they work with them

  • @lindsayoneill3256

I believe we are attracted to people and situations in our lives that we can gain knowledge and grow from. People work with Fae when they feel called to do so - when there's a lesson involved. People may also work with Fae if the Fae are reaching out to them. Another reason would be if the practitioner is Fae (obviously we have all been born into human bodies this lifetime, but some people feel as though their soul is not human). Also I agree with the being held accountable reason. There may be other entities that don't get angry as easily (not that all fae anger easily, but some), but Fae are always going to be real with you. They have reasons for being angry, they let you know when you need to check yourself, and you learn to respect other's boundaries. This is what pushes you to grow. In short, Fae aren't going to coddle you. Those would be reasons off the top of my head, and I'm sure there's many more. It's not a road for everyone and maybe not for the faint of heart. Hopefully this helped you make some sense of it.

I’ve 14 different types of flowers growing wildly in my yard, but so far as I’ve been able to identify them all, only one is native. Some of the invasive ones include dandelions and white clover, which have been admittedly feeding the local bees.... Of what I’ve seen, only bumblebees and honeybees, which are also invasive to my area. Does a flower or weed’s status as native/invasive affect how it is viewed in the eyes of the fae in the area? I’ve been wanting to pull up my yard and replace it with native wildflowers, but even if I recycle the pulled plants into compost or food (dandelion is tasty), would such a drastic change offset them? I’m not particularly sure about working with the fae so I’m not really in a position to ask them myself, but I want my area to be pleasant for all who may enter.

I wondered the same thing. I remember my grandmother telling me about how one year St John's Wort became a weedy, invasive plant in her area in Montana. The wild land managers and local farmers were resisting someone who wanted to farm it in the area because they were already trying to prevent it from taking over. Oxalis, the little clovers, are terribly invasive and will drive out native plants with a long evolutionary relationship with an ecosystem. Because humans are the ones who have caused a disturbance in the first place, displacing ecosystems for exotic plants, I wonder how they would view restoration efforts. Curious how supporting native ecosystems fits into this framework.
