Faery Offerings A Quick Guide on Leaving Offering for Nature Spirits

Ойын-сауық

Hello loves! I thought I'd take you on a walk with me and talk about a few things that make fantastic offerings. I go on walks and meditate in nature every day and I've had some lovely experiences! I find quartz and lovely hollow trees and plants and often collect morning dew. The Faery Essence drops were so lovely, they really created a nice focused energy around helped to sharpen my mind while keeping me relaxed. I highly recommend!

I think I may have been leaving offerings out to the Fae my entire life, and am only now realizing it. I live in the woods, and whenever my mom would buy new fruit at the grocery store, we would chop up the fruit from the week before (if it was exceptionally gross we’d throw it away) and scatter it into the woods for whoever needed it. My mom also made sure to plant a very nice garden when our house was being built because she heard about how upset the Fae get about nature being desecrated. I like to think that my home is a safe haven for wildlife who have been under threat due to new developments being made in my area.

The most magical experience this summer was at my fairy garden. I made this fairy garden a few years ago and it is full of beautiful stones and a lot of seashells. These shells belonged to my dearest friend and roommate who passed away from cancer and I knew a fairy garden in this special corner of my yard was the perfect decision. Well in warm weather, I keep a ring of shells upside down so that they hold rain water. I watched a momma hummingbird and her two babies drinking out of these tiny shells full of fresh rain water. It was incredible and I swear if I squinted, they were dancing fae enjoying the day surrounded by flowers.

Okay so since we're talking about offerings, I think I did an unintentional offering. So I planted some tulip bulbs a while ago and the leaves are growing, and yesterday when I went outside I watered them and afterwards I found a snowflake obsidian near where they are. Also I've been feeling really close to nature and have been finding happiness whenever I go out to my yard.

One night I had a voice come in my head and say: “music fixes anything”. It was a time of my life where I’ve been very obsessed with the fae. I took that as the type of offering they expect from me.

I didnt know passion flower essence was a thing until now and I need it. Also, now that you mention it, i like to offer a service, but I didnt really think of it like that at first. I like to offer a quiet space that I take care of in the woods behind my Apartment. I keep the ground clear of leaves and have some native n vines draped over tree branches to create an enclosure. I used to think of it as "attracting" them there by giving them a quiet space to escape their daily lives. I also set a boundary that only fae with good intent can relax there. Even the fae have *Monday's*

Dear Mama Mint, I would love if you made a video about working with trees (not necessarily tree spirits or fae, but rather the trees themselves). This kind of thing comes from Celtic tradition, but working with trees exists in many different cultures. Much love and blessed be!

Outside of my fenced in yard I have let it grow wild. We couldn’t afford to fence the whole yard so I let nature take it’s course. I leave offerings out there. In return I have 4 wild cherry trees. Great for the birds. A couple of Mulberries. I know a lot of people don’t like Mulberry trees but it is one of my favorite berries and Blackcap blackberries. It is sort of a safe haven for wildlife. I have opossum and squirrel 🐿 and ground hogs. It is a sweet city setting. Thank you for all your wonderful videos.

I'm a budding green witch, and I still don't really know what to make of the fae and the beliefs around them, even though it all seems so beautiful and I do believe in nature spirits. But my question is, when you leave offerings do you literally expect them to take or eat them ? Have you seen signs that they do it ? I guess I need to start reading more about all this but there is so much to learn and I'm so impatient 😝!

I prefer using liquids over solids for that reason! You never know. Once I poured out wine in a line across the grass, the next morning I woke up and clovers sprouted exactly where the wine was poured. I didn’t expect anything from my offering, I just wanted to pay my respects. And then I woke up to Magick! The energy you give with is always returned but I strongly recommend letting go of any expectations in order to give and receive freely. :)

Hey mint, ik it’s unrelated but it would be cool if you could do a video explaining the ideas behind witchcraft. The logic, the principles that drive it. What exactly are witchcraft practices based in? Are they just based on personal meaning and symbolism? How does practicing affect the world around you? do you believe witchcraft has power or is it simply a kind of therapeutic expression? I’m quite unfamiliar.
