Jamaican Toasting is the predecessor to hip hop without reggae there will be no hip hop. Marcus Garvey is one of most influential black leaders in America's history without him there would be no Malcom X or Martin Luther King Jr. Do your research Jamaicans were a huge influence on African-American history and culture.

She is telling you the secrets of the "Kalbass" as it is called in Haiti. They use it as a food container or plate, but also the fruit which is not easy to consume is used for medicinal purposes. I remember that they gave it to me as a child as blood thinner. It tasted real nasty. :-).

I do not normally comment on You-tube, but when you mention Port-Antonio you get my attention because that's my birthplace, I grew up there. Couple things : Somerset Falls is considered a Falls and Rain Forest, and they had a restaurant that served the best fried chicken I have ever tasted. DeMontevin Lodge Wow! that's near my high school and that girl Sharon "Tow Tow" Harris and I went to the same high school. Port-Antonio was called little Hollywood because of the different Hollywood Stars that frequently come there, starting from the 1800s. Errol Flynn lived there. Brook Shields, Michael Jackson, came often. Rihanna did one of her music videos there. It's a low key place where people are not star-struck so celebrities don't feel harassed. A lot of celebrity and musicians go to GEE JAM hotel but it's like $700 US per night. Thank you Ace for showing our beautiful place. I enjoyed this! One love ❤

The future of our boys and gentlemen depends on organisations like these that are willing to bring awareness and for us as parents to acknowledge and improve on issues that are distroying our people. Thank you dear sister.

Such a great video of the wonderful essence of Jamaica 🇯🇲 Errol Flynn actually lived in Port Antonio on an island called Errol Flynn Island, his wife actually still lives in East Portland. Tom Cruise actually made the movie Cocktail in Portland at the Blue Lagoon. I am a British National of Jamaican parents who retired and returned home to Portland. This parish is very picturesque and still is in its natural habitat. I’ve been to many parishes in Jamaica 🇯🇲 but Portland is still untouched and the best Parish in Jamaica 🇯🇲 for me and many others. The home of Jerk, Tourism, and boasts the best beaches. Blue Lagoon, Winifred Beach, Frenchman’s Cove, San San Beach, Long Bay Beach and many more. I would advise anyone visiting Jamaica 🇯🇲 to visit this beautiful parish, a must see. Thank you Ace/Leon for exposing the beautiful place, and I know that you will most definitely return ♥️🇯🇲🙏🏽

Respect to Sharon tow tow! She's ahead of her time. Childhood trauma is what has manifested to violent crime. She's trying to break the cycle through education. Robert Sapolsky is a neuroscientist who teaches how trauma actually changes the brain chemistry. If Sharon is reading this, check out Robert Sapolsky , you can find his lectures free on KZread.

she is correct i worked in DOC and the constant theme i found amongst the young men/boys that were incarcerated they all suffered from some type of abuse and mostly neglect then physical and psychological abuse. Most came from poverty and i find that the stresses of poverty can produce a lot of violence. Yes, we must protect our young boys also these fathers must be held accountable for abandoning them when they are needed in the home. But she is spot on i've witnessed it first hand.

@Ace the lady forgot to mention that one of the biggest cause for fathers not being in the home is due to them finding out later that the child they are caring for is not theirs. A study came out last year stating that over 70% of men in Jamaica deemed fathers had nothing to do with the paternity of the child (jacket) #bornjamaican
