In this KZread video I demonstrate creating a mixed media collage study for a group of work about the Sumer garden and flowers. I also talk about the reasons why I love to use collage in my work. (These aspects of collage are also woven into my new course).

Thank you- I’m so glad you enjoyed the video - sometimes you have to be brave- the collage is always better than what you start with! This is shown in much more detail as one of a number of different types of approaches on my new collage course ( link in notes) .

There is something about that connection with the wonders of nature and lovely to bring it into the studio! A riot for the senses! x

Hi I’m glad you enjoyed the video- a snapshot of how I work. I use a variety of different collage based techniques.
Has the damson colour ink got a specific name? You called it purple - is this the colour its branded as, because its a gorgeous colour & I’d love to get some 💕

Hello the words I used were just descriptive rather than the specific colour. The ink is muted violet from Liquitex.
