I adore this keyboard! Been using it for almost 2 weeks and as someone who’s owned the Magic Keyboard, i have ZERO complaints about this keyboard!

Doqo Magnetic Keyboard case is really good. Build quality, shortcut keys, battery life, Bluetooth connectivity, tablet case, hinge quality, weight, etc. The best alternative out there.

Personally I like the ESR rebound magnetic keyboard case. I had both and used both for 2 weeks and ended up returning the Apple Magic keyboard and happily kept the ESR keyboard. The ESR is heavier than the apple magic keyboard and the keypad requires slightly more pressure when pressing it but those are the only things that I thought are not as good as the apple keyboard. The ESR has function keys which is excellent. I prefer the feel of the keys and the typing experience. I really like that it has a flap for the Apple Pencil to keep it secure. The material used on the case feels and seems more durable than the apple magic keyboard. The apple magic keyboard feels like it’ll scuff easier and it definitely shows finger prints more than the ESR magnetic keyboard. Also, the ESR has a little more coverage around the iPad which provides slightly more protection for the iPad on the edges. All in all the ESR just has more features that I prefer and it’s $200 cheaper!!

I had heard that they made some improvments to the build quality of the unit for the 12.9” iPad since I had issues with the first 2 that I bought, so I picked up a 3rd. I’m happy to say that this one is much better and works as advertised in the few days I’ve been using it. Interestingly on the 12.9” version, the key travel is like 3 times what it is on the Magic Keyboard and the Logitech Combo Touch. Once you get use to it, it is very nice to type on.

@@mrkrabz9564 They did some improvements to it over the past eight months or so, and the newest unit are much nicer much more like the keyboard layout on a MacBook with nicer key travel.

Best way to deal with accidental touches is to turn off tap to click in settings, since this keyboard trackpad supports physical click ability.

How do I get the backlight key functions to work?

Well, I had my 12.9” unit replaced, then ultimately refunded by ESR, due to the unit having so much give & flexibility in the keyboard that keys popped off of it when using it on my lap. If it were made from harder more ridged plastic it would have been a great companion to the iPad Pro. They need to take it off the market and improve the toughness of the construction before reintroducing it.

Nice but don’t like latch so i went with Typecase Edge alternative clone with reasonable cheap price

I see they now have this in white. I wish they’d make it in lavender also.

is the rebound keyboard is compatible with the ESR hybrid 360 case? I wonder if it can stick and close with no issues

ESR replaced my 12.9” unit twice now, then refunded me for it. The soft plastic construction eventually became a problem with the keyboard flexing when on my lap and in my backpack, causing keys to pop loose. ESR needs to further refine and improve this product will tougher harder plastic so I can try it again, because as a device I really like it, aside from the far to soft plastic construction.

Oh wow! I’m glad you were able to bring that to my attention. Are you using it in regular environments like at home or in a office? Just curious to see if it plays a role or not. I’ll possibly make the video private after looking into more reviews online regarding this.

@@Technolotea I was using it all over the place in place of the Magic Keyboard. Fortunately I do have Apple‘s Magic Keyboard as well which is far more solid for every day on the go use. The Magic Keyboard has metal plates at it’s core, which is what makes it so stiff and rugged.

Yes mine still does. Although, I did switch to the smaller one and I don’t use it that often. The main keyboard I use is the Apple Smart Folio Keyboard.
