I originally got this to do wireless CarPlay. You actually get much more with then wireless CarPlay. Playing live TV and apps like Hulu, and Netflix works really well! I'm super impressed with this and I also love keeping the dash looking factory! You won’t regret it!

Exceeded my expectations with its features. While adjusting to all the functions took some time, the added convenience is worth it.

I got mine recently and I'm loving it! It's easy to use. Only issue is sometimes it disconnects, messing up music and navigation.

Fantastic video once again man! Great information. Im definitely going to have to look into getting one of these!

Will the Magic Box connect to Wifi and Bluetooth simultaneously? I’ve heard the first Gen MB won’t do both, so you have to toggle between the two. I’d like to use my T-Mobile drive sync wifi hotspot for the internet connection for the MB, and use the Bluetooth from my iPhone to connect to the MB for Carplay, because I want to keep using my iPhone on its own unlimited 5G internet.

Thanks for sharing this...might have to try it out. Do you notice any audio/video sync/lag issues either through mirroring or the app?

No, actually mirror product higher quality video that using the built in apps which is why I suggest using mirror when possible, easier control overall

It works and it doesn’t buffer I got Verizon so make sure you got a good service provider

So mine was sitting on my doorstep when I got home from work today, so I was pretty stoked to try it out. I plugged the USB-C/A cord into the box and my 2020 Ram Rebel but no change to the display and only a intermittant blinking light on the box itself. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I literally bought it after watching this video and they sent me a straight up dud for $329! Of course I started looking more closely at the box wondering what I'm missing and found that words are misspelled on it! I think you should rethink your relationship with his company bro. I sent them an email but I don't expect much. Pissed me off

Bummer man, mine is still working great in both out cars. I'd reach out to Magic brand. I know when I had questions, I sent them an email and heard back a short while after. Hope you get it figured out.

Does the sound link up with the picture? I have a wireless CarPlay device and I never use it because I constantly play KZread on my phone for my kids and the sound lags behind the video unless it’s a wired connection.

Yes it does. A few folks have stated that was an issue with other devices. Mine is synced up. Posted a few videos on my Instagram showing this.

I have a ‘15 F-150 with SYNC 3…I know it’s completely different from the uConnect, but is there a way to go back to the stock menu while having this connected? Like if I want to change my ambient lighting color, access my massaging seats, etc?

I've never noticed a delay with my current system through I did in my GMC back in the day when I would have a bunch of apps opened on my phone. Try cleaning out your cache on your phone, resetting the phone every often should help too.

When you are using the magic box for wireless google maps, are you able to enter a new address while it's running? When I'm wired in using android auto, it always makes me disconnect from android auto first if I want to use my phone to search or I have to search using my screen.

I had a similar box and quit using it due to if I was hooked up hotspot and got a call I couldn't answer handsfree. Can you do that with the Magic box? I know if its blue tooth probably thru the car play but I'm talking about the hotspot wifi on

To be honest, I can't think of a time yet where I got a call while I was streaming something so I can't really advise there...sorry!

I'm currently using the carsifi box. It don't allow for planning of videos witch isn't what i was after. I was just looking for wireless android auto. But its been really hit and miss with connection issues. I have to unplug it as it will try to connect to my phone when im in the house. How has the magic box been? Oh im driving a 2020 ram 1500 sports ( Canada)

If you put the vehicle in reverse does the backup camera still take over the screen?

Auto connect to Bluetooth so you can run wireless carplay all the time. I have to manually connect to my hotspot when I chose to use an app that needs internet.

Every car play option I've tried wireless or not has had the option to use carplay while phone is locked...for the price they charge for this thing Id be very surprised if they didnt have this feature.

I see it offers 1 car options 2 car options...but what if you have two phones in the same car which one does it connect to by default and can you easier switch between them?

Id connect one phone to the device so you don’t have to worry about conflicting connections. Not sure I see a scenario where you’d need two phones connecting to a car.

@@WaterFowler41 The scenario would be when i use the car vs my wife using the car so we can both have wireless car play, but the main issue comes into play when we are traveling together in the car at the same time it would be nice to choose which phone to connect to. Cheaper options in the past just connected to whatever device it wants to which sometimes is annoying...i contacted magic brand and their device works the same way not a deal breaker just annoying.

You cannot watch it full screen. UC4 will not allow that. I have a sound processor and amp with upgrades speakers so sound quality is pretty dang good.

No that's limited by the screen itself not the device.

Question/clarity that I haven't been able to get answered from the manufacturer: Do you know if this "casting" will work on rear-seat infotainment systems? I have a 2020 Suburban with the factory-installed fold-down monitors over the rear seats. This would be great for my kids on long road trips, so I don't have to constantly swap out DVDs for the fold-down screens over the rear seats. But if the only place streaming video would show with this device is the dashboard monitor then this is pointless for me. I've emailed and live-chatted support but never get a clear answer.

So I got this thing, but having a couple of issues, the Andrio Auto map screen the resolution is too big for the screen. If I have the radio on, and go into reverse no problem, when I come out of reverse I loss the radio and have to hit the mode button to get it back. 2023 Tundra, 14" screen. Working with Majicbox but wanted to see if anyone else has seen this.

You’ll have to reach out to magic brand, as part of the start up instructions they say do not set a code. They should have a fix, I doubt you’re the only one who’s ever done that

Mine was working great for 2 weeks. Then it wouldn't connect anymore. So I did all the steps on the magic brand website and even factory reset my screen. Still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
