I feel this. I went into limp mode during rush hour and luckily I limped it with its momentum off the ramp and into a safe spot. I had no throttle power whatsoever, similar to yours. Glad to see you pull away safely!

I just had this exact issue beginning of the month ... alternator went .. car died on hwy left me stranded .. got it fixed then throttle actuators went after I got it back .. all fixed now tho 🙂.. nice vids keep em coming

Hey, had alternator issues on my e82 135i not long ago. I though the whole car was a bout to die as a million lights came on and the car suddenly had a mind of its own. Since it was replaced, everything went back to normal. All the best, hopefully nothing too serious!

Such an anxiety filled vid 🤣 Ughhhhhhh... TAs are so annoying. I was 200 mi away from home when they went out. 1 hour into the failure, I turned off my car, and it magically worked until I got home. I replaced both of them so quick. Hope to see your car back on the road again!

My c6 corvette had the crankshaft pulley get messed up. I heard a weird loud ticking noise but I had power. Checked it when I got home and sure enough it was the pulley. Didn’t strand me luckily but the belt was coming off. Super lucky!

4:15 I like how your car is having catastrophic issues and you want to drive it. Potentially causing irreparable damage. Your insurance should give you a few free tows a year if you have a decent plan.

Glad it wasn't anything more serious. I've yet to experience such a wonderous phenomenon as limp mode in my car lol. But I'm sure my time will come too, eventually haha.

I remember my alternator went out in my first car, I barely got it out the parking lot of my school, unfortunately I hadn’t driven it long enough for the battery to hold enough charge to get me back home, dad came to the rescue, attached a battery pack to the car, and got it home, it’s crazy how much an alternator can affect a car but luckily it’s usually an easy fix

That sucks buddy, glad you are ok. Get yourself a wireless Obd adapter, and bimmerlink it very helpful on the go.

Did you replace them with OEM replacements or lifetime warranty refurbs?

If you guys look at the right side of the Tachometer at 1:51 you can see the colors immediately switch from Yellow to a whole bunch of Red. Scary sight 8:34 man that engine noise sounds absolutely devastating

as an e60 driver, just seeing those lights on the dash gave me major anxiety. side note: it seems like once you get actuators replaced, u should just get alternator replaced right along with it. they seem to go out right after each other.

Same thing happens to my 135! No problems for a long time, then everything goes to shit at once.

It's like when the F1 clutch dies on my Maserati Cambiocorsa...nothing you can do except calling the tow truck and pay the expensive bills...But, still worth it!

I totally agree. Let's drive it AND while we're at it let's do a mini pull as well!... That's not what I call being a driver, that's what I call being a butcher! No way would I treat my '09 Jerez black E92 M3 6 speed weekend driver like that...

why didn't you get a warning about the alternator ? If its not charging the Battery it should be on low charge at somepoint

10:20 when the alternator goes out the red battery light will flash up on the dash or if the alternator is dead the light way stay up

I got stranded and broke down in my dad’s Golf GTI and It was sad and it sucks it happened to you as well

I had my alternator crap out on the middle of the 5 in between sf and la, i had different symptoms, car just basically kept dying no studdering or misfires.

I’ve heard throttle actuators go bad or they don’t. I’m at 89k with OE TAs still going strong

Same thing happened to me after TA,it was the idle control valve

bro having the check engine like in the middle of traffic sucks man gives u the worst adrenaline. my water pump failed in traffic on my 2013 128i coupe and i didn’t know what to do i pulled over where ever i could.

I was in this exact same situation in my M3 like 2 weeks go. It sucks.

BMWs are broken all the time... These warning lights are nightmare of every BMW owner.. Lighting like a christmas tree. :D

It could be u have an exhaust leak or your 02 sensors need to be cleaned, or alternator

If your car is so unreliable that you need to keep an OBD scanner handy at all times, ditch it! Exceptions to this rule would be any Italian exotics, (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, perhaps some special Alfas and the odd Lancia...).

Hey guys, I wouldn't necessarily base a purchasing decision on this KZreadr's track record, which I would regard as being a bit of an outlier. There are plenty of E92 M3 ownership stories out there, (including my own), that haven't broken the bank. As an example, the BBS wheels and the titanium exhaust on this car would add something like 30% to the purchase price, while delivering nowhere near that "bang for buck" pleasure, (I assure you that my genuine style 220 M wheels and exhaust look and sound pretty decent).

I went through the same thing with my car it was driving funny as I was leaving working but nothing alarming 1h into the commute home shit hit the fan power steering started going no control of the throttle it got me all the way to my exit then said fuck this I’m done
