Boring engine note, low horsepower but I get it it's light, nose is not authentically pleasing neither is your m3/m4. If it doesn't do 0-60 mph in 3 seconds it's a disgrace. And you need to incorporate hybrid power terrains like the P1 in all your M cars. And you should have an xdrive option for this car to drive it in the winter (audi has it on their TT why can't you) But everything else 10/10 Ceo is an amazing car presentor/journalist like Thanks for your passion This car is 1000 times better than any M2 in recent years. So ty for this leap forward

looks are definitely questionable, but the performance is insane. love it or hate it, this m2 is setting a new precedent.

Wow, wasn’t expecting so much power. BMW really went balls to the wall with this one. Let’s appreciate the fact that this is most likely the last M vehicle that’ll have a manual and a non-hybrid powertrain. Hats off to BMW for making this, but it does sadden me knowing that this is it.

Power to weight ratio! Everyone talking about the huge power bump realize the weight increase is nearly like driving around with 2 more adults in the car? It needed the bump in HP just to keep it competitive. When the GTR came out all everyone talked about how heavy it was ….. here we are a decade and a half later with the smallest and lightest RWD BMW M car weighing even more(!)

Bmw //M says they won't drop the manual gearbox

I prefer the styling of the previous M2C. I wouldn't say this is 'terrible', and it's better than the new M3/M4, but the last gen M2C was basically perfect.

F87 owners are everywhere!

I loved how he kept saying "quite obvious..." proceeds to describe X,Y, Z.... like a normal adult man. Most car review pages they overhype dumb things like the greatest thing in the world, he didn't oversell it and that's what got me to like it better tbh, great machine

Agree, and I’m guessing it’ll look a little better in person. I absolutely hated the leaked pics of G80/82 but then when I saw it in person the presence was excellent and I was sold🥲

I'm glad that BMW releases its models with internal combustion engines, which gives you uniqueness in its new models, soon unfortunately it will be very rare...

Crazy specs on this one and love it, but the shape reminds me of the Scion.

Side profile beautiful, front end hasn’t got the grill problem but not as aggressive as before imo, back is high tech more than sporty BUT much better looking than the M4/3 IMO the one to go for, will be a future classic for sure

Wow Amazing machine.

I really want to like it but the front proportions are just off, rear is it’s best angle for sure. It’s also a bit disappointing that the car basically shares the wide body as the regular 2 series this time around. Either way, I think peak (modern day) BMW was the M2 CS with its classic and timeless BMW looks and proportions along with a fairly basic interior. This new flat screen design dashboard I don’t think will age well.

That would mean “average”, “vanilla”, something everyone likes. Boring, typical. Fuck that. Polarizing creates a hard dividing line, which means bloodlust or hate. Much rather prefer that direction than a widely accepted generic “cool” design.

Wow finally. No obnoxious grill design. This is a stunning example. Finally an automaker who gets it. I hope this trend continues. Those hideous over sized grills were looking terrible. I don’t get why one commenter said the looks are "questionable", the headlights are low key and beautiful. It almost looks like the vehicle has a wide body kit, extremely bad ass and seductive.

Thank you for keeping the manual alive! This clearly shows BMW and M’s commitment to making their cars driver focused which is what the fans love about the brand! That said, I honestly would have preferred a more traditional and driver focused dashboard layout with an individual housing for the drive information gauge cluster and have the iDrive 8 system in the middle. This curved screen looks more at home in an EV or a less focused car. Hope the LCI model gets this replaced with a more driver centric layout….although I highly doubt that will be possible..

Congratulations to BMW for managing to add 300 lbs to the purest M car in the line up!

Near the end of combustion era. Car manufacturers are capitalising on combustion performance before moving to electric. High end performance vehicles are being offered in lower cost than ever. Beautiful.

I still can't understand what they wanted to show as the next generation of the M2 through an exterior design. Why emphasize the square? where the square shape came from? to be honest, the front design is kind of the after-market style.
