Good job , but why didn’t you clean the unit by removing the leaves?

Leaves dont hurt anything. I honestly just dont bother with them.

Clean the leaves out. Thats basic hvac maintenance 101!!!!

I don't know if I missed it but I didn't notice you back flushing the condensing cord to make sure there's no debris from the torn up compressor into the condensing coil itself just saying

I flushed everything with R11. The oil that came out that compressor was really bad.

Sound like something broke and banging around inside the compressor

Yea it sounded like a bag of rocks dragged behind a truck. Idk what caused it but everything is good now. The compressor was still under warranty

@@WorldofHVAC nice work, i saw u flow nitro while braze and used heat blocking putty to protect the drier and the compressor.

@manhpham8052 thanks. If I'm going to do it I might as well do it right. I hate coming back to jobs to fix avoidable issues

How much a job like this cost

If you have the tools and experience if should be about 400 for the compressor 🤷‍♂️

@@citizenlyfeva Only reason this was even done was the compressor was under warranty. Otherwise I would guess at least 4x this price minimum, many would have junked the unit at that point.

Absolutely. Lennox wanted $2400 for that compressor. Out of warranty that would have been a horrible investment. It would have been better to sell them a new unit just so they could have a warranty
