If everyone, everyone, everywhere said "NO, I won't fight anyone." then there would be no more wars. Have you ever thought about that ?? Have you ever thought that the other side(s) don't want to fight but think they have to "serve their country to assuage the possible hostility from your country ?? If only everyone said " NO " !!

@@Skinny_Karlos Never will there be a time when no one is willing to fight. People like Putin will always exist. People like N. Korea's Kim. The world be an unenjoyable place if no one ever resisted them. The only way to never have a war and have no one ever fight would be to have no more evil. Yes the world would be a wonderful place if no evil existed. But that would also mean no more humans wore on earth. Hostility from my country? You don't even know where i live. So ignorant of you.

You don't know, for instance, that the US, since 1776, has had only 16 years of peace. They have been fighting for NINETY-THREE PER CENT OF THEIR EXISTENCE, 93%. The highest of ANY country in the world. You seem to pick on the victims and not the aggressor.

What type of salute? From a civilian? They don't salute, EVER, unless they are an ex-military person. Or, maybe, the American way? The wrong way. Or the French, and European way? The correct way. In uniform, with headgear, THAT is when you salute. I salute once a year, when leading the Parade on Armistice Day, 1100 hours, on the 11th day of the 11th month. I don't salute if I don't wear my ex-service Bonnet de Police, or my service cap, or my field cap, BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN CORRECTLY TRAINED. I don't want a callow CIVILIAN saluting me, someone who has never done anything, at all, in their whole life.

Brazil and Mexico fought alongside the Allies in WW2. Mexico sent a fighter squadron to the Pacific. Between 50 to 80,000 Mexicans volunteered to join the US and other foreign armies fighting against Japan and Germany in WW2. One Mexican volunteer serving with the US Army received the MOH during the Battle of the Bulge. Colombia was the only Latin American nation to fight in the Korean War while under the UN. Honduras, and Argentina, served with the coalition during Desert Storm. El Salvador and Nicaragua fought in the Iraqi war with the coalition.

Interesting production. During WWII, the American GIs habitually called the German soldiers "Krauts"; not Germans. Also, partly due to racial bias then, there were less cases of Afro-American GIs commanding Caucasion GIs. More of them commanded their own ethnicity.

Part of the mountain scene are most likely shoot in the Carnia, area but not even Carnia has such wilderness of the environment and the temperature during winter in Carnia it’s cold especially in the mountains with cold I mean deadly cold. Even if part of the movie has been shoot in Italy, according to IMDB, there’re still so many details that don’t add up, like the accent of the people in the village in Piedmont they speak way different than how they speak in Friuli-Venezia Giulia ( the accent and inflection of whoever has lived or it’s born in Friuli-Venezia Giulia it’s unique and can be recognized everywhere in Italy) but you don’t hear a single person with the FVG accent inflection.

They didn’t even noticed that there was a dead body covered with a coat, and didn’t checked the identity of the the body under the coat or if it was a bait for boobytraps. Armed Forces members are trained even for a year before being deployed and that’s the opposite of how they are trained.

@@EM.1 Two things you should know: 1) they are Brazilian, not American; b) this is not Hollywood. Brazilian guys in WW2 were not well trained. They have never seen snow before (there's no snow in Brazil). They used uniforms and weapons provided by USA. They were mistreated by their american peers, who were racist and despised them as bad soldiers (in fact they were). Brazilians were there only because our dictator at the time, Getulio Vargas, needed to be in good terms with USA. There's no point in expecting them to behave as Band of Brothers. And our country is very catholic, and the scene in the 'church' is a poetic quoting of this. No sense to watch at this as Saving Private Ryan. Different cinema.

@@sergioguardado6733 lack of training it’s very common especially if it’s a small detachment, but common sense and instinct kicks-in to compensate the lack of training, if it’s cold the first instinct it’s to find something to warm up, during war or any dangerous situations where the danger is unknown you hide, check the surroundings areas to check if there’s something that might harm you, you try to be as silent as possible while entering a building or moving in a place where there might be an echo, it’s common sense and instinct. Children don’t have any training but they know how to play hide and seek moving silently to not be found, that’s the same it’s just survival instinct. Nazis were catholic too, no point in using religion as an explanation of their behavior.
