Sonic is without a doubt my favorite franchise, ever. Sonic the Hedgehog 1991 was my first video game ever, I loved watching sonic X, i collected action figures of him, etc etc. Great video! I love learning more about the blue-speed-demon

Regarding the Adventures of Sonic pilot, there are various scenes recreated in Dr Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine

Not just the Movie. Sonic Mania might becoming on its 4th year, but it has greatly inspired enthusiasm in the Sonic fanbase that is still going strong. There was a lack of positive things happening in the early 2010s, but everyone was mostly riding off how good Sonic Generation was. Sonic Mania proved previous gameplay can come back with a lot of revitalized energy.

You forgot some Lost Media. Sonic was originally gonna be a rabbit that can pick up stuff with his ears and throw them at enemies. Eggman was originally a good guy and the main character. Sonic also originally had a human girlfriend named Madonna. Shadow was a hedgehog blinded in 1 eye and his prototype name was Terios. Also, Silver was also originally a mink named Venice. Tiara The Manx from Sonic X-Treme. Sonic X was originally gonna feature mobians instead of humans. Different design for hyper sonic or super sonic, Mostly called Nazo. Nails The Bad prototype rouge. And finally Monsters instead of badniks and the toyshow Tokyo prototype. And sonic was originally named Mr NeedleMouse.

And it goes deeper. Needlemouse is just a mistranslation of "Hedgehog". So if that original plan went through, japan would have scratched its collective head why he is called a mouse instead.

Nice I grew up with Sonic the Hedgehog!! I've first heard of Sonic between 2006 and 2008 where I watched Sonic X (such a great classic)!! Then in 2009 I played the first 3 Sonic games on DS on a game called Sonic Classic Collection and man was that pretty fun to me! Also, my favorite pieces of Sonic lost media that I really truly liked in this video were the Sonic Movie (also you should really talk about the Sonic Movie 2 in a future video now since that movie has been released too), as well as the cancelled Sonic game that is similar to 3D Blast, and the cancelled Sonic Movie that had Princess Sally Acorn in it that didn't get released because of Sonic X.

Another great video Stay Up Late! I found your channel recently through the recommended and I've been binging it as much as possible; you cover stuff I haven't seen others-or many anyway-cover and I love your unique accent. Hope you're doing well and taking care. 😄

Speaking of cancelled movies, you should check out a video by PatMac where he talks about 4 cancelled Sonic Movies. Who knows, maybe those ideas that he talked about in the videos will be later implemented in future movies that we haven't seen yet (or maybe not because A) They're long forgotten, and B) They don't stick to the true original Sonic formula much like Sonic Boom doesn't).

From what I heared Sister Sonic wasn't cancelled because Sonic Fans demanded the game's release but because Popful Mail fans demanded it to not be Sonic related, they didn't liked the game to be changed and become Sonic themed reskin, they wanted Popful Mail but just translated

Slight error on Sonic Armageddon. This youtuber's video:kzread.info/dash/bejne/qWZnvKtsparcado.html covers all the canceled and lost Sonic movies as well as the history behind them. Ken Penders stole the idea from someone else after they came up with the idea and nearly passed it off as his own, considering the track record he has for claiming the work of others I'm not surprised.

Actually there is the entire movie with the old design, not just some scenes. Before the design change was announced, international dubs were already completed, so the movie was almost ready for release. KZreadr Сыендук, who almost became the official russian voice of movie Sonic, spoke about that. After the design change his original dub couldn't be used for some reason, so it was reddubed by some other guy.
