The Lost Colony: Unearthing the Secrets of Historic Jamestown Pt. 1
Historic Jamestowne, America's birthplace, is a must see if you are a history buff or like to visit historic places. Jamestown Island is the location of the first permanent English settlement here in America. This historic place is ran by Colonial National Historic Park. In this video you will see archeologists working on a project, hear a National Park Ranger giving a tour of New Towne, walk in the footsteps John Smith and Pocahontas in the James Fort. We also walk through the Memorial Church which still has the church tower from the 17th century. We see ancient burial grounds from 1607 as well as many other fascinating sites of historical significance.

We enjoyed the first part of your visit to Jamestown. We've never been there, but have been to Williamsburg. We need to get there and see all the history displays! Beautiful church. Loved seeing the eagles! Thanks so much for bringing us along on your latest trip, Terri and Keith.

We love Historic Jamestown! Such a great park. We haven't been there in years. The last time we visited, they had not finished restoring the church yet. We will have to plan a visit sometime. We are glad you shared this wonderful place with KZread. It gets less visitors than Colonial Williamsburg but it is a wonderful and fascinating place to visit in its own right!

I was there as a teen, but so much has changed there since then. It is amazing how the archeologists have uncovered so much there to let us know how it used to be. So interesting! ~ Terri
I spent my childhood summer vacations every year in Williamsburg and visited Jamestown several times. I never get tired because it’s so interesting to me. I’m looking forward to seeing your next vlog!

So much to see, so much to learn. Very interesting indeed. We had a documentary here last year about the Mayflower which sailed from England to . Many of those on board had spent a few years in the Netherlands to escape the persecution they experienced due to their belief. ( Mayflower was an English ship that transported a group of English families, known today as the Pilgrims, from England to the New World in 1620. After a grueling 10 weeks at sea, Mayflower, with 102 passengers and a crew of about 30, reached what is today the United States, dropping anchor near the tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, on November 21 [O.S. November 11], 1620.) Just thought I'd share. So much history everywhere. Great episode- looking forward to the next video. 👍🇳🇱🙋♀🇳🇿🌷
