When I was 15, in 1987, I saw The Lost Boys, its one of my favorite movies of all time! I wanted to be a Lost Boy, this movie means the world to me. We moved a lot, and I had long hair, I was the school metal head…when we finally settled into a school permanently…I made friends who were just like me….we called ourselves The Lost Boys.

My mom was an extra in The Lost Boys. This film was part of my childhood, I grew up going to the boardwalk and mom use to give me a behind the scenes story when we'd visit. Love this film holds a special place in my heart.

Oh my gosh! I would have sold my soul back then to be in that movie! I would give ANYTHING to have my teen years back in the mid 80's to early 90's! Your Mom was a lucky girl!

I'm a Santa Cruz local, and we have such a special place in our hearts for this film. It was so exciting to watch the production going on in our town, and lots of us were extras so we get to see the tiny snippets of ourselves go by onscreen each time we see the movie. There are still periodical screenings held at night on the main beach, ( where the beach scenes were filmed ). It's so cool to hear Kiefer say that his best memory during the making of The Lost Boys was biting the head off "that bald guy"! Because that actor was a good friend of ours, Jerry Younggren, another local who was one of the few who had a credited role - so that scene is a fave of a lot of people here too! Sadly he is no longer with us - gone way too soon. His part in the movie was one of many legendary moments in his short life.

The Lost Boys was a first in showing a story of vampires as common people that were outcasts of society. It broke ground in turning a typical horror to film into more of a fantasy drama.

How do you know that the intergenerational band of vampires were "common people?" There's no back story one way or the other, and the proportion of vampires to victims indicates some selection process for which aristocratic blood could have been a proxy. Star is the only intentional target for "turning" into a permanent vampire (she was supposed to feed on Michael and in the process kill him to make the change permanent). They're outcasts because they can't survive in sunlight and they have an insatiable hunger for human blood ending in death to the victims.

STILL one of my fav movies! And many GEN X'ers I know love to throw this at the younger generations who toss about and praise TWILIGHT as THE young vampire movie-- and no, Twilight doesn't even come close. "Our vampires weren't torn apart with self-hatred and disgust. Our vampires were sexy, badasses who DIDN'T sparkle!"

Glad Feldman wasn’t there. He knew abt Haim’s abuse and didn’t help him. Stayed friends with the abuser. He’s said disrespectful things about him and his mother.

One of my favorite films ever made. I wish that Joel Schumacher were still with us to be a part of this reunion. Joel was a master of cinema and Kiefer is one of the greatest actors of all time. Great to see Billy Wirth! Really enjoyed this!

I agree both should be there also the late Barnard Hughes, the late Edward Herman, and the late Booke McCarter.

If they would ever reboot the Lost Boys, they should do a backstory of the lost boys, how and when they became vampires…. And what did the grandpa actually know about the vampires because in the Lost Boys movie, he said …I could never stomach all those dam vampires, so he knew something about them. And a back story about the guys who worked at the comic book store, and that slayed vampires…

I just saw a video on here and apparently Joel Schumacher wanted to make a sequel to The Lost Boys and this would have been about the back story to The Lost Boys and it was supposed to be set I think in the early 1900's. Keifer Sutherland was all for it. But the studio turned him down. That would have been wayyyyy better than the sequels that were made!

Kiefer, the guy who could only be there for 3 hours in 2019... there he is on stage, and at the event for the full weekend. Still can't believe it!

I worked with Billy Wirth on a film, War Party, in 1987, I was a stuntman and extra, 3 months I had the opportunity to hang with him, he was so nice to everyone on set, he really just hung out with everyone like a regular guy, movie sets were different back then, stars hung out with the staff, shared hotels and ate with everyone, not like nowadays where the star actors never hang with anyone, your lucky if they even speak to anyone, different times.

I saw this movie in 1989, I was 12 years old and begged my dad to rent it at the video shop ( remember video shops 😂). I loved it soooo much, watched it over and over til the video had to be returned. Had the actual video one Xmas, then when dvd’s came about had that. Bought the cd soundtrack which I played constantly. Now at 46yrs old I still watch this movie with such admiration and love for it. “ lucky me, we moved here” “ Death by stereo” God bless you Corey Haim, forever in our hearts. I loved this movie and loved Keifer, Alex Brooke, and Billy...was totally infatuated with them. Jason grew on me as he got older. And playing against the two Corey's, Edward Herrman, and Dianne Wiest - what a fantastic cast. The soundtrack was so good too. We watched that movie so many times, I knew every word, every nuance..Great memories!

I got goosebumps hearing that track again and watching these legends walk on stage. What a feeling. Cinematic history was made with those fellas when they were not much more than kids.

When this movie came out I wasn't familiar with Kiefer but as my Dad saw him he said, "that has to be Donald Sutherland's son!" 🤣

Coolest of all vampire movies. That was when movies were a big deal. Always liked the fact that Kiefer and Alex are English by birth. Great cast all round.

So weird that this pops up on my feed today after I just rewatched this movie two days ago with one of my son’s friends who had never seen it! We get together every Monday evening to watch a movie and we are making sure she sees all the movies that she somehow missed out on. I mean she had never seen the goodies before we started doing this! I’ve made sure my boys have seen all these great movies from my youth already so it’s fun to watch her enjoy them for the first time!

I miss Haim so much when I see these. 😩💔 These reunions are always so divided. Feldman and the other Frog guy are always together but rarely seen with the main cast of the Lost Boys(the vamps). I think I seen one time Jason was doing an interview with Frog Brothers but he looked so unenthusiastic 😅 Kinda like getting sat at the nerd table when the popular table is full. 🤭

Thanks to all of these guys for my teen memories growing up. This brings it all right back. The music the movie and this sit down. Thank you so much ❤🙏🏼

Love how some of them worked together before Lost Boys. Like Jami Gertz and Jason Patric were in Solarbabies, and Kiefer Sutherland and Corey Feldman were in Stand By Me. I remember hearing that there was plans to use more of Maria (Kelly Jo Minter), and to have hear be seen at the end as a vampire leading a new group into the Lost Boys cave. I wonder if instead of giving us the definitive ending we got, how much would have changed if they went with the Maria ending.

A very cool and nostalgic film, and one of my all time classic 80's favorites. It was the best vampire movie out there at the time, and it still holds up. They're absolutely right about Santa Cruz in that it was the perfect town and setting, and lent itself to the vampire story in every way. It truly does feel the way the movie depicted it. The Lost Boys cast and soundtrack, which I still have on tape, is legendary and couldn’t have been any better. Thanks for sharing this cool reunion and trip down memory lane.

I saw Echo & the Bunnymen perform “People Are Strange” two weeks after the official release date of the film.

this movie is one of the best vampire movies of all time because at its time i literally made people feel included like if you go to the wrong party you might get into some stuff like this. it made it feel real even if it wasnt. and i still think keiffer is one of the scariest vampires he jumps scares me sometimes when i rewatch the movie lol

I worked dubbing vhs copies of films in the 80s. Not many films survive hundreds of watches but I still love Lost Boys

All I wanted when I grew up was Star's hair. 42 yrs old & I have still have the poster on my bedroom wall, my kids know this movie by heart now too❤

This movie had a huge impact on my life as a teenager. There will never be another movie like "The Lost Boys".

I was 20 when this film was released and it was most definitely an iconic film!

Hollywood wouldn’t want Corey Feldman to be recognized or to benefit from anything. He has his issues apparently, caused by the collateral damage of working in Hollywood. RIP Cory Haime. This movie benefited so much by so many talented people.

Forever i will wait for you Billy! 1962,still fine as wine! Following all your work from lost boys,red shoes,war party, children of the dust, i fell in love! Then i liked young guns! Im too old for my husband! What?! Why when i play young guns he never seen them,i was like how did you tap that fifty button age? I grew up on mork and mindy,green acres, hillbillies,a team.. my mother never allowed cable tv in home. I was only allowed to watch tbn,amc,tcm. Those channels played only seventies and eighties shows. I watched it like it was new. So in my thirties i reflect on the hard bringing up i was brought through. But in the eighties is where i reside. All my music too before i got to slipknot. No im going the right way. Teaching and educating my husband on his eighties. Met my husband at sixteen, been married for twelve years. Nineteen years apart, i am older for sure i keep him on his toes. Im a pugilist 😂😂😂

I remember watching this and it blew me away, the story and the special effects were on par. ❤❤❤❤

I LOVE this movie. Everything about it. The storyline, cast, set, location, especially hair and makeup!! 🥰

What a fantastic film and one, which I did pass that love down to my children. My favourite vampire film along with 'Fright Night'. Such a shame 'Corey Feldman' was not here. I have the soundtrack on vinyl. I would not like to see a remake!

To see Kiefer Sutherland and Jason Patric was so awesome. I mean its so cool of Keifer( it's true.. he is a superstar..Mr. Jack Bauer)but it just shows how cool he is to do this for the fans.❤✌
