@@Face_meltor_ can't happen cause they force new players immediately into the new tutorial then give them 5 characters for both sides & Recruit once they finish it (it'll be 6 once Recruit turns into Striker & Sentry) and you can't play Ranked till you have 10 operators on both sides. I assume they'll add a failsafe for existing accounts that are older than the new tutorial that just gives you the ops

Something i was kinda wanting for the new recruits was the ability to do stuff like select gender of recruit, select nationality (which determines weapon choices possibly) and the ability to select or make custom poses for the player card. But obviously that was never gonna happen but would of been neat to make a bit more of a personalized op in game.(and with the lore of still having recruits of all types it would of played into the lore abit more i think)

Wait what you expected ubisoft to actually get out a viable update that doesn't make the game even more trash?

One thing i hoped but knew it wouldn't come was having a flag patch region for Customization like Xcom did where you can select many country flags for them making them actually feel unique and International.

I like that ram was a recruit who got promoted to operator, I hope they do more stuff like that in the future

These recruits will be playable in ranked as well as competitive and bring A LOT more potential to the table as opposed to the previous recruits. That is to say, that they're far more versatile than Recruit used to be and compared to other operators. If people were able to 5 stack recruits, nobody would play any other operators.

@@thepurpleemu First things first, everything does have to be competitively viable when you're putting it into ranked and/or competitive. Rainbow Six Siege is a competitive game and the competitive integrity of the game is central to the health of the game. Always was like this, and always will be. Siege was not and still is not like Squad. Don't like it? Go play Squad. And, unlike trickle down economics, trickle down balance is real and if it is not overpowered in ranked or casual but is in competitive, it would only be a matter of time until it is overpowered in ranked and casual. Secondly, Sentry is incredibly strong. Strong weapon with the ability to bring combinations of strong util like Shields, Barbed, Nitros, Impacts, and Proxies. And yes, Attacking Recruit is pretty overpowered. Both recruits are incredibly versatile. They are grounded if only one can be brought, but if 5 can be brought? Literally the game's meta would be broken because nobody would choose any other operator. OG Y1 Recruit was perfect for what the game was back in the day, however the game has evolved over time, become more sophisticated, and recruit became outdated. This change to recruit is actually kind of nice for what the game has become.

Its interesting to hear them talk about the squadron and how the squadron actively join in on the training exorcists its an very interesting thing to hear and something which you can think of eachother squadron specialiseren in somthing else. RedHammer: breaching or destruction. If a recruit focuses more on that they join redhammer Ghosteyes: stealth. If theh are more for covert ops and stuff they go there. Wolfgaurd: humanitairian. They focus on humanitairian stuff they go to wolfgaur. Viperstrike: diversified and versatile support unit. They focus on support and versatility they go there. I like to think the new recruits train with operators from the squad or try and perform in what that squad would specialize to be able to perhaps go to that squad to become an op there but thats an theory. Also keep up the good work.

So for the whole "rainbow has observation blockers which are NH tech", i would assume its as simple as nighthaven still selling rainbow the occasional tech and weapons, the two orgs disagree and had a nasty split, but they still both fight for the right reasons, so they probably see theres no reason not to keep providing rainbow with gear And while this probably means nothing, rainbow ops still have observation blockers in game, as opposed to them being NH op exclusives

head cannon/theory: The Striker and Sentry we play in game are the heads of their respective areas and that is the reason why they are listed as ROS members and not just Rainbow

Kudos! If you ever get a charm in the game, make them get you a Chibi charm of your avatar. This way you can have it STAND inside Monty's Shield!

it would be cool to see the sentries and strikers get full operator status in a sense that they become operators with callsigns

Now that I think about it does that mean the Greek operator for the next season is going to be in ghosteye since we already have two red hammer operators one viper strike and a one wolf guard operator for the squad we haven't had a one for ghosteye since year 7 season 4

The fact they probably had one of the best seasons last season in terms of players and they reduce the content we get this one is crazy

They should make a Monty shield skin with kudos logo on it that would be sick

So they did a thing where the deimos mask on lair said, it all starts with recruit in Morse code, and all this build up, only to get 1 recruit allowed for each team, force one of the recruits to be female when they could just make it so you could choose either for both recruits but Ubisoft forced in “inclusivity” but forgot about the fact there are other genders, and said there are multiple in gameplay, and then proceed to make them feel like a standalone operator, what bullshit is this.

Feel like its kinda weird the operators view the recruits as cannon fodder when they are still people doesnt seem like something theyd do
