I gather this is your dream cast, rather than this movie actually being in the planning? This looks excellent, either way! Most of these actors/actresses look a lot like the originals with some AI work. Benedict Cumberbatch really would be a great choice for Lord Elrond.

What made Jackson’s version a masterpiece was WETA Workshop’s contribution. Yes, the acting was stellar but the alterations made to the characters was awful….most especially Faramir and Radaghast the Brown as well as Legolas. Jackson’s version was monumental to be sure. So why did he change so much of the Professor’s storyline? And that stupid potato head Orc? I’ll not even say a word about what was done to the Hobbit……😏

@jonathanstewart351 He had to cut it into a 2.5 hour movie that kept the audience's attention and interest as much as possible. I never made it through reading Fellowship of the Ring. Too much history, backtracking. I wanted Tolkien to just get on with the story. I think Jackson's picture did that, gave enough history and at the same time kept the attention of the audience. Anything longer would've lost the interest of the audience.

Irreplaceable.... They were the perfect cast. Cate Blanchet with her grace and poise will forever be my Lady Galadriel. This cast looks promising to be honest but you can't beat the Peter Jackson Original. So much so that everytime I read something lord of the rings and a character is named, in my mind I see the actor who played that character.

I agree but this cast lineup is great as well. BTW I can’t imagine Dinklage doing a Gimli. I just can’t imagine him being as goofy as the original Gimli! 😂

But then again being a big Tolkien and book fan It took me a while to adjust to Ian McKellen, I always had Sir Michael Horden as the voice of Gandalf, as he played him in the BBC radio play. Still have...

OK. There does not need to be another Lord of the rings trilogy but watching this trailer just gave me goosebumps.

Now that is a stellar cast of stars. Not that it could ever happen but could you imagine how much it would cost to get them all in one movie.

Firstly, I am a huge and protective fan of the first trilogy of the LOTR. Secondly, I usually very hate when the cast is changing until making me not even want to see a movie but thirdly I do enjoy this concept. It actually could be very good which makes me feel lost and happy at the same time.

If the books are actually followed and the characters unchanged, especially Faramir and Legolas, I’d be up for it. Although it will be hard to beat Richard Taylor/Weta Workshop’s extraordinary work. RT is about the only reason I stuck out Peter Jackson’s versions.

Gal Gadot as Arwen doesn't fit at all. Arwen is almost purely feminine. Gal Gadot has strong "girl boss" vibes.

I was so sad that the actor that played Theoden passed away. But I truly think that Russel Crowe would be an amazing successor since I love Gladiator.

I was here in the beginning of you sharpening your craft Stryder. Another great piece. Who doesn't want to see their favorite movies brought to life. Also, the music really helps as well. I also had another thought on how people could consume these. Imagine they were longer piece that played in the background with shots lasting longer. They could literally be content people have in the background while they work, study etc.

@@davbooms Sam's only fat in adaptations. Ironically Frodo was the fat one at the start of the journey because he's the richest in the Shire and didn't have to work a day in his life. Sam's the only one not from the upperclass and spent years doing physical labor, so he's likely the most well muscled.

One movie that needs no remake

Huddleston as Wormtongue I honestly thought for a moment “He would love playing that role.” Huddleston seems to enjoy playing characters that are complicated with layers of depth so that role I could actually see him playing. Maybe in a play version even.

I don't recognize quite all the actors, but you make some quite interesting choices. Some that would radically alter the tone of the movies just with that actor being there. Good choices!

Well, I will say this. Some of ideas suck, but some of them are truly better than Original. However, Henry Cavill would be perfect as Legolas or Feanor rather than Aragorn. But the best thing would be a blend of both versions yours and PJ's. Locations in your version are also great. Saying this mix of both would be amazing.

I have to say….🤔 I like the idea of Benedict Cumberbatch as Elrond.

Over all exceptional casting, every single person really, but Elrond, Galadriel, Saruman, Denethor got like a verbal explosion of YES! The only one I have my doubts would be Gal Gadot, but I am open to it.

1:59 Pippin is spot on. He was still a child when he left Shire. While the rest of the Hobbits were adults and Frodo was an elder. I never liked the original that they made Pippin look so old. That was the point of his story arc. He matured during his travels during war. He was like many lads that Tolkien saw leave for WWI and return as adults (Many who never returned, Pippen also represented him and his friends, a few who also never returned). 2:59 I also like what you did with Eowyn, in the movies she is much too smallish compared to the books; she was strong and far from weak. The way you have her with that actress is perfect for her build as said in the book. We have to remember, she is also of the peoples that Aragorn was from. She would live a much longer life than most people and she had the strength and will of her ancient peoples.

You have made a very fine selection of actors and your teaser trailer is great too.

The original was already a masterpiece, no need for a remake. Also, Legolas was perfectly cast by Orlando Bloom. I can't imagine anyone else playing as Aragorn.
