The LoPro Umbrella is Back (MK2!)

NEW ESP Mk2 Lo-Pro Brolly & Accessories!!
The wait is nearly over - the Mk2 Lo-Pro brolly plus accessories will be in shops around late April!
The MK2 is the same size and footprint as the original, but with some new design features. The material is 210d PU backed polyester with 5,000mm hydrostatic head and is a perfect dark olive green colour with a new ‘blackout’ light proof laminate on the inside to prevent sunlight ingress through the material. We have also added an extended skirt at the rear made of tough waterproof PVC material. Carryalls, rucksacks etc can be stored on this behind the bedchair to protect them from damp and dirt. The front edge of the brolly features a rain baffle to prevent drips.
The Lo-Pro features a unique design with 6 out of the 8 ribs being in contact with the ground, meaning storm poles are not required in most situations. The strong 8mm fibreglass frame includes a space saver mechanism to maximise headroom even when the brolly is set low. Instead of relying on storm poles to support the front, the Lo Pro features clever extending ribs by means of an elasticated joint which elongates the front side ribs when assembled allowing them to be in contact with the ground. By moving these extended ribs in or out the height of the front of the shelter is adjusted, allowing for different weather conditions, varying terrain and visibility requirements. Most bedchairs can fit and the more compact models can push right to the back .
When the brolly is broken down, the extended ribs simply detach and fold up, making the packed-down length 1.73m (5’ 8”) - easily manageable for transportation and it will fit inside most carp quivers.
Weight: Brolly 3.7kg, plus pegs and bag 4.4kg
Dimensions: Width 2.3m, depth front to back 1.7m, height variable up to 1.15m. Packed down length 1.73m (5’8”)
A heavy duty full-size groundsheet, Mozzy Mesh and Overwrap are available separately.

Probably the only fishing company that’s not afraid to talk about the weight of their kit. Another excellent product. 👍
Still got the original LoPro with mozzy mesh front.. great bit of kit!! MK2 will no doubt be just as good. Quality ESP 👍👍
Got the MK1 and it's still going strong! Would've liked the MK2 to have used same thread as a landing net handle for using it to open the brolly which would reduce weight as centre pole not needed. Fingers crossed ESP will listen.
Im a match/pleasure angler but its a fantastic bit of kit this.
Something I will definitely consider purchasing.
Getting one of these with the mozzi mesh when they drop. Looks an awesome bit of kit
Yes boys yessss. Bought my lopro in 2016 used it all year round every week ever since and still going but be nice to have a smaller packdown length thats all
Very nice Dave, a musthave for sneaky venue's
Will be getting one as I need to travel very light

Got the hideout it’s brilliant apart from the inner side poles are a pain
🎉 great news. I luv mine since 2016, just spent the last night under it and this morning, the second rubber band inside the side pole ripped. Good to see, that now both ends have metal caps. You can even fit two smaller bedchair under the LoPro, as i proved while fishing with my son a few years ago😅 Pricetag?
Shame it took so long. Replaced mine with a solar undercover 18 months ago. No rear vents makes it a non starter too😕. Loved my original, which is still serviceable (with a bit of spray glue around the bell).

Looking forward to some new tench vlogs Tom 👍
👌 nice
I'm in if you do one in dpm! Perfect for my quick overnighters, any idea on costs?
Will the Mk1 mozzie mesh/overwrap fit this?
Blimey, it is low! Just pegged mine out in the back garden. With the mozzie mesh on, you are on your hands and knees! Bit wobbly too, those 8mm fibre glass ribs are not really stiff enough. Shame, I'm going to have to send it back
Looks like it’s taken a few ideas from the Wychwood MHR 2. Original lopro was good and the MHR is good so mashing them together can’t be bad
Will the nash emperor bedchair fit in and under?
Just bought one - looks amazing. Q. If I wanted to use adjustable storm poles what size would you recommend. Think 48” would not allow for any adjusting up as it’s the max brolly height. Is 42” better (is there a 42” pole?) or 36” and just have it adjusted up? Thanks

36 is fine :)
Does it hold on in time? Please give some feedback!

I've always been into tarps but brolly systems...
Good luck baking inside in the warmer months 😂 Was a vent in the back not possible? It may have gained a few ounces but at least had some decent airflow inside..

Get a grip. Managed how many years before the poncy airflow mesh on brollies etc. youre fishing not glamping
Great shelter but the mk2 should have fixed a fundamental design flaw. Who thought it was a good idea to have cheap and sharp metal tent style joints on the long ribs? Used my shelter twice and already have pinched the material causing small holes 😡. Ok maybe I’ve been careless but I’m sure I’m not 1st and will certainly not be last to do this….

Trust me, you can boil in them. No back vent was a major fuck up on ESPs part. Real shame, as I’d have definitely bought one.
a zipper would have been much better at the front.

It's a speedy, simple shelter - not much to improve on, surely? The originals all sold out quickly and we have simply brought it back again with a few tweaks, as so many were asking for it, rather than shopping second hand.
Looks like back ache to me.
