Who TF would give this a thumbs down SMH! Good stuff. If you're not up for it I'll shut up... @18:55 watch Nate approach the waterfall, by the bush on the right at the approach he's already more on the throttle and has way more momentum going in, then just applies some more throttle as needed to get up without spinning. Try rotating your throttle arm forward just a tad on sections like this, it will make it easier to get into the throttle more without putting your elbow down and getting you out of an attack position, and make it easier to gain speed. Entry speed and momentum as you know is key or you fight it the whole way. Cheers.

Ya, I’ve been in SG12s for the past year or so now and have to replace the tow cap when it’s worn. My first pair I let go too long and now I’m smarter about it I’m 39 and 245. It’s good for lifting the bike at times but being fat sucks. I was down to 230 but broke my ankle last October and it’s been a bear trying to get back down again when I still can’t run or ride as much as I want to

Knarlest ride I've done lately is from Gorman to East Frasier trail to What a trail to Lockwood creek to Halfmoon camp ground down Piru Creek. Got lost after turning right into Wilderness had to climb of wire cable fence to get out and head back in reverse. Met 3 nice guys on the trail so 5 of us. Brought premix in and people gave me gas. 98 miles out from 8am to 4pm. All single track. I was in survival mode coming back. 2000' Honda CR250R.

Do you think a 250 xcw has enough luggable tractor power for this kinda place? I know your 300 will do it. But how about a 250?

  • @EverySingleSunday

It's does, just depends on how you ride and what your level is and what you weigh. You can make anything work just fine but a 300 shines when you need low end

I think probably more important is not to ride down a hill you don't think you'll be able to make back up. Worst case with riding up something is you can bulldog it or drag the bike down it. If you can't make it up, you don't have a lot of options left (unless you've got enough riders in the group to pull the bike(s) back up it.) A lot of these hills (and drop-offs) would scare the crap out of me.

If that looked like child's play to you, than I'm a little worried for your children! That was some high consequence, technical riding right there. I do similar terrain (not as intense) in Arizona. You talk heavy brush and uneveness, try dodging in and out of saguaro and Cholla cacti and up and down slot canyons with loose gravel washes. Shits a blast!

5:26 - In your "scared mode"... I don't blame you one bit! That only means you have good ole fashioned horse sense. The camera just doesn't do the steepness justice. It was kind of funny how you had to tell yourself "keep your feet on the pegs", when human instinct says keep your feet on the ground. As for Nate waiting on you - very smart move on your part. Again... good horse sense. This was some difficult, but awesome riding footage. So, what have we learned here today? It's definitely time for some new boots! Shoe Goo just won't get the job done this time. Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it. "Thumbs up" from this Kentucky boy.

Just keep doin what ure doin bro, seems every video you’re getting better and better.
