Ойын-сауық

    If you don't have a vacuum bleeder take a large serenge and load it with brake fluid, go from the bottom bleeder port by the engine cover, open the fitting port, push fluid up into the reservoir slowly. Works like a charm, in 5 minutes you will have an air free perfect clutch pull.

    Good job Travis. I also have the ASV long/short combo on my Super Tenere. Really nice levers. If I go the 300 route I'm considering the R&Duro Easy Clutch. You are getting your bike dialed in nicely. I'm still rolling on my beat to crud 2012 Beta 498 dual sport. Dang thing refuses to die!! Glad to see you all healed up and back in the saddle my man!!

    Midwest changes the pivot to basically make it feel like a 9mm Problem with Midwest for me is that it doesn’t fold forward and I will not run full wraps anymore. But I did run a Midwest before when I was a full wrap guy and it’s good (if you’re smart enough to set it up)

    Back in the cable clutch days on the Big Island of Hawaii Mauna Kea 200 two day extreme enduro I used a tackle box fish weight scale to check riders clutch pull lb, the pulls varied from 3 to 8 lb pull, some were smooth some were rough and hard pull, I called them DNF clutches.

    3-8 sounds really light. Stock is around 15 on these bikes and with this mod plus another we can get them down around 9. I’m probably at 12ish now but the other mod takes pressure off the clutch, not good for the 500

    Have u ever had to adjust the pressure plate to #3 hole? On my 24 300 it engages towards the end of lever throw, it's definitely worse after repeatedly slipping it. I've manually bled it twice after installing 9mm.

  • @EverySingleSunday

    @EverySingleSunday

    10 күн бұрын

    If it’s been slipping and you’re in a higher pressure setting the plates are probably worn out and need to be replaced. I usually run on the softest or the middle setting for less pressure. I would also make sure it’s bled properly. KTM clutches usually last forever so it to be dead already is wild

    Thinking seriously about going this route, im using Midwest on the same bike. Its hard to get set-up perfect an keep free-play in the lever. My bike never was easy to get into neutral but it's almost impossible once it hot unless youre rolling which isnt a huge issue but jus enough to be lil aggravating at times.

  • @EverySingleSunday

    I ran a Midwest for a long time but don’t like wrap arounds so I need a folding lever. The 9mm feels great in my option Most KTM don’t like to hit neutral unless you’re rolling.

  • @EverySingleSunday

    You can go either way. I use a vacuum bleeder on the bottom so it sucks it down and I can just keep adding fluid. This is easier for me and works perfect. But both ways work
