The moment when Ruth has decided to leave Ira because she wanted to have a big family or having a child was a heartbreaking scene, especially when Ira didnt stop her coz he wanted her to be happy. Love Requires Sacrifice. :(

Ruth's a selfish woman like most are. If they don't get exactly what they want. They're not satisfied & even then that's not a guarantee because once a woman gets what she wants. She expects more & demands it. Even at the cost of destroying a man's soul. Who already has done everything for her. She still won't care. She will always want more. It always has & always will be. All about them. The blinded understanding of the simple fact. All the time, effort, Huge risks a man will take & do for a woman means nothing to them. They will always overlook all that you do for them. For their own selfishness. You could Fulfill all their selfish needs/wants. For them to never come to realize. How rare it is to find a man that couldn't offer you kids or a big family & knows that. So he will do whatever else it takes to make her happy. Even if it kills him....He could even adopt multiple children & create this huge family/life for them & She will still not respect, appreciate or be satisfied with any of it. Because they couldn't actually have a child of their own. So that's where she will collect everything else she can twist in her ungrateful selfish mission of why that man's worthless, not enough or whatever else her delusional self being comes up with. For reasons of leaving. There is a reason why 80% of divorces are filed from women. It's not because all men are trash, cheaters, liars or manipulators. That's mostly all self reflection of a woman's actions that she cannot or even wants to acknowledge 90% of the time. And society has catered a lot to this delusion. By not holding women accountable with pretty much every bad decision they make. Real Love is not based on what a Man can provide for you. If that's the case. This should be all the proof needed for any man to come to realize. Those conditions could be endless with that understanding of Love from a woman. Men Love Women so much more. Then a woman loves a man.. Men Love Women for real. Women love Men for Opportunities in which he can provide & that is endless when coming to an ongoing selfish outlook in life. Lived by a woman.

Elsie Agraz Me too. Ira was so much better than Luke . Heroic and sweet. His love was so sacrificed , he always put Ruth over everything and that's beautiful. The story of Ira ​​and Ruth felt more real to me ... for the first time , I saw a couple share a life together with high and lows . Luke and Sophia in contrast... were more of the same.

I hadn’t cried for a long time as I’ve reached a stage where nothing actually makes me cry. Ruth and Ira’s story reminded me of my late grandma and grandpa and it made me cry like a little baby for a good couple of minutes!

"Honest" thats the right right rightest word to describe it. Scott E walks in the shoes of his father, not to make a career or to become a star but to prove himself to be a man of Pure character.

i love every Nicholas Sparks' novels.. The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, Safe haven, The Choice and this one. wow!!! its my all time favorite can't get enough of these classic heartfelt movies..

It's hard to make a trailer for a movie that is perfect in every second. If you're thinking about watching this, don't hesitate, give it a watch. I watched it before work and it just made my day so much better. 10/10

Okay, I watched the trailer and i was like "well... I don't know... maybe..." I finally watched the movie and was literally blown away! One of the most beautiful movies I have ever watched. If like me you're questioning whether it is worth watching or not I guarantee you it is!

Just watched this movie. I like the surprising storyline between Ira and Ruth. Some scenes almost had me in tears, like when they revealed a note Daniel McDonald wrote on the back of the photograph of Ira and Ruth....

"Love requires sacrifice, but it's worth it." Beautiful quote.

I read the book after watching the movie and I must say that both are equally amazing. I loved that the movie had a bond between Sophia and Ira. While the book showed the relationship more of Ira and Ruth. Beautifully written and told thumbs up from me.

I find this film touching, the story of ruth and ira is magnificent !and the similarity of their characters in the present relationship of luke and sophia is very well transcribed..a single word I loved!

I just discovered this movie a couple of hours ago....and i decided to watch it obviously....and right now my heart is full of joy and hope ....yes !!!this movie was so great to lift this hopeless person's spirit up....it's one of the best movie I've ever watched...I'm 20 year's old and i love everything about it...

oh my god! I'm a hard core Nicholas Sparks fan and I have read majority of his books and i've cried every single time but this, this is something else and just the trailer itself made me cry! I'm definitely purchasing the book and finishing in time for the movie! I really can't wait.

For me, that place where Ira releases Ruth and tells her he wants her to be happy even if that happiness won't include him forms the most powerful expression of mature and true love.

I think i am the only one who saw the greatness of love in young couple than the old couple. Great acting from britt robertson. She is such a pretty ,beautiful girl . wish i was Luke 😉. I love sophia so much.

Love the story. I just feel like this is the most beautiful story that I've ever known... the way Ira's wife came back to him and Luke came back to his girl... very meaningful :')

This movie was beautiful and it had me in tears.

The book led me here. Hope Daniel's story was depicted here... That was amazing, and tear jerking.

i know they changed some things but i think its for the better.. imagine sitting through a movie watching an old man suffer and no one rescues him until the end.. ppl will get bored because it is a motion picture not a book.. i think its better when they connect the two stories together with scenes and stuff

Huda H I agree that not everything can always be the same in a book adaption, i always prepare for that before i watch that kind of movie. But isn't it a bad sign when half of the trailer doesn't match with the book? That wasn't how Sophia and Luke met in the book and they never actually spoke with Ira after they found him. Thos are just two things that are very different from the orgiginal Story. But I'll guess we'll see...

After watching the movie realised that this trailer is amazing!!!! The fact watching the trailer U believe that U already know the whole story but the truth is the surprise factor is still there! Tears running down ur face, followed with a beautiful smile. This movie is a must watch for those that love cowboy, art and with a dash of history.

i usually don't find nicholas sparks movies all that good but this one was soooooo amazing, i really loved it!!! ira and ruths story was so interesting to me :)
