Love is being in the wrong place at the right time!
Mistaken for someone else, Elizabeth and Darcy are kidnapped from a ballroom in Hertfordshire, England. Their only hope for freedom is to overcome their deeply set opinions of each other-to work as a team. Against all odds, they each make extraordinary sacrifices to discover a love for the ages and find their way home.
The Long Journey Home is a perilous tale of adventure where Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy, Jane Austen’s beloved heroes of Pride & Prejudice are forced to rely on each other for survival.
This full-length Regency novel is written by bestselling author, J Dawn King, who also writes as Christie Capps. The Long Journey Home is appropriate for all ages.

Extraordinary book brought to life so well by Stevie’s voices. The perfect mix of adventure, danger and love forged in trial. Your descriptions of inner anxieties, seasickness, drowning and crime make me wonder whether you as the authoress have experienced some of this yourself. My favourite scenes however is the two rings at the wedding and the self defence lesson. “Wait. What were they doing? … self defence, self defence…”. Very well done.

Several years ago I became a sycophant towards the Napoleonic period and the English captains and I read everything written about them until I reach the point where I had gobbled up every piece I can find I searched I cannot find any more and then I came across the Regency that's when they discovered that the majority of that out here it's pretty much a rote pieces of fluff but I did run across a few that I enjoyed and I learned to recognize certain writers who we're more interested with the content and you are one of those your stories hold strong for others spin chapters describing the color of the sun reflecting off the water when I first started to read it I was afraid it was going to be another one of those with some Niet with an overbearing aunt or mother with some Dandy with chapter after chapter descriptions of garden Halls where is obvious that there entire research spent on studying Booring Gardens and predictable times at the bath going on and on about this and that which I'm sure was even more boring than they actually living it thank you because you see I am a man and you dear lady your stories attract me I've read three of these please produce much much more because you see the other part of this that I mentioned earlier nobody has written anything since Hornblower series which I find disappointing you have drawn me into this to the point that if there's ever a convention which I hope there will be I look forward to an opportunity to participate to the point that now I have found a young gentleman that has committed to dedicating his life to living in this period right down to the point publicly dresses to fit and I hope I have the opportunity to contact him because he's known to sell gentlemen's attire I just want to go to a convention where I might stroll the boulevard stick in hand now would you tell me where I might find somewhere to learn how to tie a Corvat in the style Regency 1811🎉❤

Thank you very much for your comment. My husband was a sea captain for over 20 years so I knew I needed to get as many of the details correct as possible. Because of my health I am unable to attend Jane Austen conventions. I do hope you are able to go someday soon.

I get so very tired of the European false sense of superiority about American slavery when many Europeans still owned plantations just because it was out of the Civilized eye of society did not mean that they did not benefit from it in fact the Civil War was funded by the British
