This woman and thousands of other "psychics" like her make money by dancing on the memories of dead loved ones of the victims. It is disrespectful and she is a disgraceful human being. She does cold reading, reads body language and shotgun questioning. These are all techniques used by psychics to get hits off of information either guessed by them or provided by the audience.

Exactly! In a room with that many people she throws out a mother, grandmother, father, male that died in tragedy, and a recent birthday of a living or dead person. Odds are you'll get something with that many people trying to make a connection. Are we really surprised when a women comes back with a deceased cousin? She gave all the specifics you would think Theresa should know. All Theresa did was mention a male that passed in tragedy and talk about the back of the church and everyone is impressed??

As soon as this came on I stared laughing because Theresa Caputo doesn't play with the hair and those headphones would mess up her hair. She brings comfort to those who are hurting.

Psychics are only real to people that don't question. If you questioned and used your critical thinking skills to investigate the techniques, you would be able to see right through all these psychics. Those powers DO NOT EXIST! Of course she brings love to people. She reads to people about a sensitive subject that would make anyone emotional and completely submit to her guesses. Ask yourself this: why do the spirits not tell her the full name of the spirits, but then are able to rapid-fire full sentences about how much they miss their loved one and other such messages? She always says, "does M or R mean anything?" Or, "where does a father come in?" The reply is, "yes. Mary is my dead mom's name." Or, "my father or husband died 2 months ago." Then she says, "oh yes, Mary says she loves you and is telling you not to cry and worry. She is also saying that your son needs to study more and you should help him. She is also saying that she is grateful you were with her towards the end of her life." She could also easily switch a Mary for "husband" or "father." The spirit couldn't tell her that her name was Mary--one simple word--but can rapid-fire sentences to the medium after the name was provided to her by the audience? Oh my goodness. Please open your mind to investigations.

Why? Because all of Theresa's tricks are known already. Since you believe in god and the possibility that she may have been given a "gift," then why doesn't she know people's life without asking investigative questions? Again, she asks, "where does M or R come in?" Reply: "Robert is my dead dad's name." Theresa: I knew it was an R! He is saying he loves you and...." She can't figure out a damn name but can give full sentences and wishes from the dead loved one. Why do people believe scientists? Because science admits when it's wrong. Experiments are conducted and they prove to be useful or not. If Theresa was as honest as a scientist, she would say that she tried to talk to the dead but after hundreds of experiments, it didn't work.

I see my cats that have died all the time. And I saw a couple of friends in my room that I didn't know had died yet. I love Theresa.

I went to a medium last month and she knew a lot of things about my grand parents that no one ever knew. They died in 2004 and she knew things about them that was 100 percent right about the things she said about my grandfather that not that many people knew, she also knew about my moms miscarriage that only my parents and grandparents knew, no one else. So to all the skeptics out their saying that mediums are fake, shut up, you probably didn't go to a medium yourself or you went to a con artist, but mediums are really real, I suggest you head to a medium yourself and you'll see that mediums are real and not all of them are con artists. This comment section reminds me that 90% of self proclaimed skeptics are just willfully ignorant and overall trolls. It's clear that none of them actually do their research before calling her a fraud. What's special about her is that she does NOT speak in generalities. She's literally known for purposefully giving people particularities which she asks for from the deceased, to use as validation. She only uses general notions in the beginning so the person can tune in and start thinking about the one who's trying to communicate. And then she proceeds to offer the personal information, because as she's stated so many times before (of course you wouldn't know), the spirit that people are hoping to connect with are not always the ones that come through. She often says beforehand that she will offer the messages that are needed, not wished for. Because sometimes what you want is not what you actually need. I've watched her work for so long, and to this point I've never seen her do a reading without giving personal information. She's given names, inside jokes between the deceased and the one receiving the reading, she's described photos, personalities, exact number of people involved in accidents which caused the death, she's described dreams of people, she even responded to questions which the person didn't even ask but only thought at that exact moment. How are these guesses, generalities or "all inclusive" statements? Don't answer, it's rhetorical. I'm well aware of the fact that trolls are going to stay trolls no matter the circumstance. You like to say how great it would be if we could contact other realms of existence, and yet when people like Theresa offer her capabilities to the world, you're the first to mock them. Keep staying bitter I suppose.

If they need the reassurance so bad, and it helps them heal in their grieving, then who gives a shit? Let them have it. Critical thinking is super important, but sometimes it's important to use those skills to decide whether or not your opinion helps or hurts a situation. In this case, you're hurting. Grief can cause so many physical and mental symptoms that can hurt a person's wellbeing. This, even if it's fake, gives people some peace. Why do you need to take that from them? To be right? Come on now.

I love Theresa. She is true to her words. She does have a gift to connect to the dead or the other side. This is my opinion only, this gift is not given by Jesus. Other evil spirits allow people to connect with the dead to let know people in earth that they exist. I have experienced lots of things that were connected to dead where I could talk but It was making very very sick. I went to church told what I was going through. It took about 3 months for me finally being back to normal once I believed in God.

I get it helps grieving people but at the end of the day it's deceptive and preying on people at some of their most vulnerable times she's probably getting some really nice checks for this shit. she's throwing around some common occurances and situations in a room full of all kinds of people. she would make a great poker or black jack player cause she definitely understand statistics and probablity. I just hate that people will believe some bullshit like this but then when you try to talk about real life and objective things that affect everybody they brush it off or even be so ignorant to call you delusional.

She often makes what I call "all inclusive" statements. 4:50. The mention of something about someone's birthday. It could be coming, or it could have passed. And the person could be alive or dead. That covers every person who has ever lived, or is living. Caputo often uses the "died in a tragedy" line. Most often saying a male, and a young male. But "young" can mean any age. And then this is what happens...the lady mentioned her cousin, who died in a tragedy. And his birthday was on the 29th. (Don't know what day the show was taped.) Cold reading.

I saw her live in Manhattan and she didnt connect with anyone. she would look at a group of 40 people and ask "Did someone here have a loved one that died violently" and no one answered so she would ask another row and finally this one lady said yes, and Theresa said "I see a gunshot wound to the head" and the lady was like no, she was stabbed. However, in my own research I found one example where she did a reading for the sister of someone who was murdered by her estranged husband and he somehow "got through" during the reading. Thats the closest thing I could find. I see no evidence of Caputo using her powers to solve unsolved murders by communicating with the deceased victims. My advice to you is to think more critically about this charlatan and try not to invest too much into her ability - since she can't seem to empirically demonstrate it. Good day.
