You totally gotta make a ladders shop. It's such a classic throwback to Etho's early episodes and I think he'll get a good laugh out of it. Perhaps make the shop also sell bow and arrows so you can call the shop "Shoots and Ladders". Great episode BdoubleO!

Bdubs is legitimately changing the entire redstone game by showing how stylish and pretty you can make it. Very few redstoners are good builders aswell, and usually the goal is to hide away the redstone.... I can't think of anyone that puts the redstone front and center but DECORATES it to make it look more complicated. This is gonna have effects on the minecraft scene like Grian's build guide videos I think. Everyone's gonna be trying to make their redstone look good 5 years from now.

I believe etho actually served as part of the inspiration for this with the monstrosity from S7. Etho has at times pushed the boundaries of hidden redstone in multiple areas even though it was to a much lessened degree than with Bdubs during S8 so far. But the hermit community is really feeding off of one another in really good ways. Dock just started this as well with the shadow dome interior, as well as etho with his foliage factory and displayable ice tracks.

Mumbo is the only other one I can think of who displays his redstone, but he makes it look more like circuitry, whereas Bdubs makes his fit in with his build. both are pretty, but different approaches.

Most redstone content creators that I've seen are there for the functionality and don't really need to showcase building skills in videos. I'm sure many of them are good but it's not a priority

@@dashinking It’s a plus for content creativity, though. Personally, I’m much more likely to stay focused and come back again if the redstone is in a nice build. Bdubs makes redstone fun (and pretty!) again.

Usually I'd watch a redstone/farm video just to see what it is or to make it, and they tend to avoid having anything extra to make the videos straight to the point. Doesn't mean I dislike people like mumbo and bdubs who have fun with their redstone though it's good stuff

I love the fact that Bdubs has upped his redstone game while Mumbo has upped his building game.

Etho wanted people to fight over him as a customer. Little did he know how that would coincide so well with server shenanigans. Bdubs, your commercials are the only ones I'll watch, because you and your wife's interactions are always so enjoyable. :)

Etho spends a lot of time just having fun playing minecraft (and other games). He doesn't hop on and start recording to try and make an episode happen, because that made him burn out when he did it before.

It's like the old times again where pranks are taken to an extreme height and it doesn't upset viewers. I love it.

Me using dead fire coral as a shaggy carpet: I'm a genius Me seeing Bdubs use dead fire coral as a dying tree: but nothing compared to the master.

I've always hated making redstone things, because putting so much effort into doing weird minecraft alchemy that I don't even really understand, only to then have to wrack my brain trying to figure out how to cover it up without killing it was always an absolute chore. Prettystone is a total gamechanger, though. Making it so that I can still see everything, but it's also actually something that I *enjoy* looking at? First the man makes Diorite look good, no he's doing it with redstone. Bdubs truly is a genius.

So generous of the boatem crew to give you a life time supply of wood!

Seems like a good time for a Boomers reunion! (I know Impulse is part of the Boatem crew, but isn't TNT thicker than blood?) Get the band back together one last time to destroy that huge boat in a fantastically dramatic fashion! Also, Bdubs, please save as much of that wood as you can, and whatever boats you don't sell can be used as furnace fuel somewhere.

The "this is an Etho clock.. you don't have to understand how it works because IiiiIIii DoooOOoooo," felt very much like a, "Who do you think you are?! I AM!!" Moment.

I believe tango is using the wood from the boat, and he’s gonna make a shop called “planks a lot” and he’s going to sell it, he chopped it all down last night!

I really like how bdubs adjusts his prank tolerance between hermitcraft and last life. If this happened on last life, we would kill somebody. But here in Hermitcraft, I just acknowledge how calm he is despite these huge pranks. Also a great builder. You earn my respect sir!

Shop idea: If you get your hands on a witch farm, you can get a lot of sticks. With those sticks and a little string, you can make a shop that sells bows and ladders, called "Shoots & Ladders"

I've just got to say, I love BDubs's commercials. I don't need/can't get any of what he advertises, but I never skip them.

I love the end of Bdub's episodes because he says he loves me to death and it makes my day.

Sometimes finding shops that sell a select number of items is pain to do. People want to come in and get out with their stuff. That’s why Grian’s G-Train and The Barge did so well, everything was in one place. To combat that strategy your going to have to give shoppers reasons to explore the shopping district. Coupon or mystery box scavenger hunts should help. A hidden gambling den would be a good idea too. No one’s really capitalized on gambling yet and if you make it fun to find and rewarding to play, you should see more income. Having maps (which you have to purchase) as clues to the gambling den would rake in a little extra cash too.

I LOVE that these pranks do a really good job promoting their fellow Hermits videos. They're epic pranks but also help eachother out

The last shop next to "Boat City" would be perfect for selling the concrete that Tango has been producing inside his mountain.

I'm a big believer in pretty stone. I've made a gorgeous oriental-esque Dried Kelp farm (if I do say so myself) and I've just finished a Lava Cauldron farm that I'm humming and hawing about a design for. I also try to keep my farms within a one (or two) chunk radius. The Dried Kelp farm is one chunk, the Lava Cauldron farm is two chunk (though can be collapsed to one chunk at the expense of speed). I've also got a one-ish chunk Nether Wood farm that I don't have a good design for. A beautiful, if slightly cumbersome, Amethyst farm. A nice, if simplistic stackable Villager Crop farm, Honeycomb and Honey Bottle farm (makes a lot of Honeycomb, not a lot of Honey Bottles). I'm currently working on an automatic Mushroom farm that I've gone back to the drawing board on a couple of occasions (and created some of the other farms in the process). My idea is to make a single map 'farming district' but that the farms fit in with one another to create a single, coherent landscape/cityscape.

I kinda miss the "Redstone with Bdubs" Intro...

Shop idea: There are various block pallets on display that hermits can look at from the street and in the shop. If there is one they like, then there could be a shulker box they can buy with a few stacks of each of the materials for them to build with.

You know you are so Legendary, when people build a Shop exclusive for you 🤣

You should use the wood from the big boat to make wood kits! Shulker boxes full of planks, fences, trap doors, slabs, doors, etc. and sell them in a shop! Like a dark oak kit, birch kit, jungle kit.

Bdubs and Mumbo are literally going through anime level character development arcs right now, literally

It's not the same as etho's and that's the best bit! Both he and xisuma did it in a straightforward redstone sort of way, and all the stuff that had to interact with the moss (seed block, bonemeal, breaking carpet so it doesn't get locked) was crowded around on top wherever it fit. But because of your aesthetic choice to have the generation platform float and the inputs perfectly centred from above and below, that wasn't going to work here. Prettystone literally changed the technical specs of a moss farm and I think that's brilliant.

I wish he'd do another fly boy's series. That was one of my favorite mod packs.

This season, BDubs had stepped up his redstone prowess more than ever...and I love the birth of pretty stone!! It delights my heart to see him stretch himself in such ways, and makes me want to venture out an grow in areas where I'm not quite as comfortable. Keep growing, and keep inspiring!!

Maybe you could make a fish shop in the village. Sell stacks of raw cod as "organically raised Italian white fish", and stacks of cooked cod as "organic Italian white fish sautéed in olive oil, with organic herbs", and charge silly amounts of diamonds for them, since no one was going to buy them anyway. lol

Bdubs, I have an idea to get revenge against Boatem, get a lot of item frames and make them invisible, they will have lag forever >:)

Fifi should eat Treeza in retaliation, you should put red candles and string around the TNT shop, and the Boat shop would look really cool to have a little waterway that comes up to it directly

The best way to get rid of 80% of it, is to get a flint & steel, and start burning the big boat, then mine what's left.

The only time I’m ever happy to see a video is gonna have an ad is when it’s from Bdubs. When it’s from Bdubs, I am immediately excited to see that an ad is coming because his ads are great.

I'm impressed with the pretty redstone. Coolest moss farm I've seen, and I think making the redstone part of the build is better than covering it all up.

you could put campfires in the chimneys, and when the machine turns on you push a haybale under it, so that the smoke goes high enough to go out of the chimneys when the machine is on

Bdubs Idk if you look at comments, but I thought I'd give some ideas for shops. -Because of your mass amounts of bone meal you should sell it or bone blocks -Ask Tango to move Copper N Candles to the shopping district, so shoppers don't have to go to far -Should make a Nether Items Shop, haven't seen one around the server yet ALSO, A lot of the Pass N Gas Need restocking or in some case fixing because of creeper explosions, also lot's of profits to be gathered!

Hey Bdubs, as an owner of a Boomers Hoody, I've received 2 enquiries about demolitions that turned out to be totally serious and legit enquiries. The first was a person wondering how one gets a job at a demolition company and the second was wanting a quote for the demolition of a small apartment block on their land :D I love my hoody lol.

I do love the Rube Goldberg redstone machines. Somehow it's more fun when Bdubs does it than Tango... I think it's the comical presentation. :P

the moss factory is possibly the coolest thing you've ever made. i love embracing the mechanical aesthetic, doing things purposefully suboptimally just to make a cool looking yet functioning machine. this inspired me to make an entire base like this, with pipes and carts and explosives and lava all constantly on the verge of blowing itself up. so I did. why have a standard automatic chicken farm when you can have a chicken named colonel sanders kill all his friends with a TNT canon he fires randomly with pressure plate? thank you for the inspiration
