In the original story Tonto saves the lone rangers life, nurses him back to health and creates the identity of the lone ranger, including the title, mask, white hat and names Silver. Once the lone ranger is fully recovered Tonto takes a back seat becoming a trusty side kick, saving the lone rangers' life on numerous occasions. It's nice to see him get his due.
I desperately want Verbinski back in the saddle. He's one of the only filmmakers today that can craft Spielbergian action in Hollywood cinema.
