The Locus of Astonishment (Luke 13:1-5) - A Sermon by R.C. Sproul
The people of Galilee were shocked that God would allow some of their kinsmen be murdered, but Jesus told them they were astonished for the wrong reason. In this sermon, R.C. Sproul continues his series in the gospel of Luke, encouraging us never to take the mercy of God for granted.
This sermon was preached by R.C. Sproul at Saint Andrew's Chapel in Sanford, Fla. Hear more from his series in the gospel of Luke: • The Gospel of Luke: Se...

This is so edifying. Yet another great reminder of how entitled of God's Graces I could be during difficult times.
Good theology hits hard. Excellent teaching!
God Never Left My Side, He Is Always There ✝️
I love to listen to RC speak.
Thank you God for caring for me when I never knew you, Thank you God for being there for me when I didn't deserve it, Thank you God for loving me, And most of all thank you for the gift of Grace, He touched me and made me whole, Saved By Grace Alone Through Faith Alone Through Christ Alone ✝️ ❣️🔥

"Saved by Grace alone where Grace is not alone."
To God be ALL the Glory, forever and ever...amen. ✝️
Excellent Sermon by the late Dr R.C. Sproul. Thanks for sharing 🙂
This reminds me of some ministers, today. They lie and say that Job suffered because of his sin; however, nowhere in the Book of Job is it stated that Job suffered because of his sin. TBT
Amen
Thanks.

👍👍👍
I always confuse the God's justice and His grace.
This is great lecturing for the elect. I wonder if this was performed for a live audience and if the audience had any thing to share?

What does your pastor say when you complain that there's no interaction or questions during his sermons?

@@Yesica1993 I don't attend sermons like that. The sermon is pagan worship,. Show me one worship service in the Bible with a sermon. Please show where in the Bible worship is about passively listening to a sermon? Thanks.

You don't know the difference between a lecture and a sermon. Your anti-preaching position is un-biblical when you consider that Jesus preached and 1 out of 4 words on Acts comes from it too.

@@HearGodsWord The word sermon is not even in the Bible. I am not against preaching. I am for preaching by the priesthood of all believers, not just preaching by a reformed Roman Catholic Priest making himself and his lecture the focus of the gathering.

@@1Whipperin wow, so many mistakes in one short comment. Instead of critiquing every Ligoneer video from a position of ignorance maybe use your ears instead of your fingers and you'll finally start learning. Oh wait, you're here to troll and seek attention like so many stiff-necked individualists.
If God allowed His son to be attacked verbally for years and then allowed Jesus to be beaten and crucified, who are we to be spared? Think about it then cowboy up!

Because the Son submitted himself to the Father and brought about the salvation of God's people. Now repent up, and you will be one of God's people too.

I agree with you, Carol. In as much as we suffer with Him, we shall also share in His Glory. Also, if the world hated Him, it will also hate us. 😉✝️

You are talking the same thing the chief priests and teachers did while Jesus was crucified and mocked during when He was on the cross. You don’t honour God’s miracle, mercy and grace. Unless we repent, we would perish.

@Aragorn333 You did not understand at all what I said. If Jesus suffered as he did, then who are we as Christians to expect anything less. Jesus said, "If they hated me, they will hate you."
