I saw Jackson at least 20 times in the 70's. First time he played this at one of the concerts the crowd went wild. It was like he personally thanked each and every person for being there.

My mom used to play the audio of this vidio on long car trips, especially when its late. I would fall asleep in the back seat with my lil sis on the opposite side of the car. I always wake up when when we are less then 5 mins away from home. Good times

When I worked in concerts, this song was my partner and I's anthem. Just remember all, there is so much more that goes into making shows happen than just an artist showing up to play. They get there an hour before the show. Techs, LDs, audio engineers, and stage hands get there at 5 in the morning to make sure the 7 pm show is perfect. And they're there workin for that minimum wage.

Excellent. i heard this song five days after this recording was made, long before its album release. JB practiced it before the show at Tanglewood, Lenox, Ma. while I and my friends hid among the bushes before the show, while the roadies were setting up. So thats a sound we did hear. I always felt priviledged to have seen that show, before almost anyone had heard this song. The vodka infused watermelon we snuck in and passed around during the show didnt hurt the mood, either.

This was a big song back in the early eighties, helping to learn the English language not only at school. First joints, first love, first of so many things, what a great time to grow up to become an adult. I forgot about this song until a few years ago. And guess what: I remembered the words just as you did, after some 35 years! And I am grateful for all the memories attached to this song!

The Loan out/ Stay, by" Jackson Brown, these back-to- back tunes are freaking seriously the bomb. I never get enough of this classic American tune, I always have to play this song twice, but I never play it three times cause that song can and will be played too much to the point you don't love it any more and I'd hate to lose the love I have for this song. Cause you can totally over play it, by playing it way too much. I've always loved music with really awesome lyrics that tells a kick ass story. I love kick ass stories especially when someone is reading, or telling me that story, so in a way who ever is singing that song is telling you a story. and when I sing along its like I'm telling someone else's story.

So its great to hear a song dedicated to the folks that are just as big a part of the show as the big name performer is but are never seen. Could Jackson Browne be any more awesome? That was a rhetorical question. Of course he couldn't!

We play this every year in Drama Club and everyone bursts out crying. The seniors are leaving the school and we don't want them to leave without saying good-bye. At least we know that they will come back.

My funeral song. First time I heard "Load Out" was on the Contiki Tour bus coming back from Europe in 1988 and it was played as our "End Of Tour" song. My all time favourite. Thank you Jackson

Thanks for the background information to the person who did the video. This song is a classic and Browne truly showed his appreciation for the unseen people who make live performances possible.
