The Livestream Where a Man Got Tortured in Front of 16 Million People

Ойын-сауық

Tomoaki Hamatsu was taken blindfolded to a strange apartment, and locked inside. He had no contact with the outside world, and none of his belongings. Trapped in an empty room with no food or water, he was even stripped of all clothing. The only way out was to raise one million Japanese yen for the people keeping him captive. And the plot twist? He eagerly signed up for this.
The man became famous as Nasubi to millions of Japanese people who watched his every moment on TV. So how did he find himself in this situation? Let’s get into it!

It's literal torture. That isn't entertainment. That's forcing someone to suffer to become your laughing stock. Forcing someone to develop mental health issues, for your monetry gain- depression, anxiety, food insecurity, possessions insecurity, fear that every time you wake up you will be surrounded by people in your face, hauling you off to another place aginst your will, developing claustrophobia, and more. The fact that this man is somehow still going strong and trying to be an inspiration is so admirable. That is very cruel and I hope no one ever uses one's suffering as a form of entertainment and monetization ever again but.... We are living the era similar to how Nasubi suffered during his time jailed on that show. I do not see it as impossible to be replicated again by a degenerate streamer/influencer just for clout. Knowing people wager their lives for followers and attention, we have yet to see what comes of this era.

I know that he agreed, but pushing it further and further was not okay. I think he had the right to agree to this, but no one is able to think clearly after a year of isolation - they should've let him recover from the first time before pressuring him to agree to be locked in again.

  • @KhoiruunisaRF

If they let him recover, most likely he would not want to do it anymore as he is in a clear state of mind. The producer might guessed it & didn't want it so they rushed him in. It's manipulation.

Human greed is one thing but the bystander is another. The fact that nobody try to stop it and law enforcement and government doesn't see anything mess up is more surprising then greed. But I wouldn't be surprise, it's japan after all. A country as mess up as north Korea but blends in trying to pretend to be normal. Their form of "entertainment" is tortur3 and their p0rn genre, h3ntai, social norm, SA and literally everything else is horrid. The fact people even idolize the country is beyond me
