The boys find Alfalfa (Bug Hall) in the company of his sweetheart Darla (Brittany Ashton Holmes), on a boat for a romantic rendez-vous. However, he is forbidden to be in love with a girl, because it goes against club rules. Alfalfa invites Darla on a picnic, and to prove his devotion to her, he agrees to have the picnic inside the clubhouse. Unbeknownst to Alfalfa, his fellow club members find out about his plans.

What’s the The Little Rascals movie about?
Spanky, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, and the other characters made famous in the Our Gang shorts of the 1920s and 1930s are brought back to life in this nostalgic children's comedy. Although the setting is the present day, the characters remain much the same, down to their membership in the He-man Womun Haters Club. When Alfalfa (Bug Hall) starts to question his devotion to the club's principles after falling for the beautiful nine-year-old Darla (Brittany Ashton Holmes), the rest of the gang sets out to keep them apart. An attempt to win the grand prize in a go-cart race also comes into play, providing opportunities for physical comedy, while Darla's and Alfalfa's story trades on the humor of innocent puppy love.

If they did this scene today, Alfafa's singing would've been dubbed by someone who's slightly older, but has a very professional-sounding singing voice, which would actually just take you out of the experience of this whole scene.

When I first watched this movie with my sister as a kid during this scene my sister said "she's actually not that beautiful" whenever I watch this scene it always makes me think of that. This was also the first time I heard that song so whenever I hear that song it always makes me think of this scene.

That's a really cute scene ! Everybody say they are adults now but in 1994 they was this kids in the movie. I think we have to see it one time in our life just for our classic. That's not my favorite movie but he still always fun to watch ! Peace ✨
How can people not make films like this in 2021? Films with all child cast or full of children. It's crazy there is no film in 2021 that similar to this or Kindergarten Cop or The Little Rascals. The last time I saw film with child cast are Jojo Rabbit, Zathura, Bridge to Terabithia, and maybe IT.

ik this is a late reply but i’m pretty sure it’s just to do with the laws nowadays. there’s so many rules that filmmakers have to follow when working with children such as the amount of hours they do

I stayed at this like teen behaviour and drug rehabilitation place when I was 15 for two weeks it had other types of kids too ones with disorders and such well this one mentally challenged kid literally the only thing he watched was Little rascals on replay all day everyday lol this was his favorite movie and he didn’t watch anything else you’d walk by is room you’d see through the window little rascals was playing no matter what time of the day lol. Can’t blame him This was my shit too back in the day
