Solomon Linda has the copyright of the song. His song was stolen by the Tokens. That's only if I assume that you're acquainted with the copyright law(s).
That's Mbube or Winoweh with Pete Seeger's interpretation of the descant. Solomon never got squat out of this famous song. Thanks to the commercial music business.
