I believe Fulgrim becoming a Living Saint who occasionally appears to fight Ferrus is a reference to the fan theory that Ferrus is the leader of the Legion of the Damned, which is really cool

If the emperor *knew* that whoever he made warmaster would fall Horus was by definition not his favorite just competent enough to finish the great crusade but expendable enough for the imperium to survive without him.

Magnus made Malcador survive. Grey Knights are lead by Magnus, the Imperium is less dark because Malcador. Word Bearers are loyal and not pedopriests, the ultrasmurfs don't make the BigE's head ache so he can focus, Angron while still angry can focus on his healing and empathetic powers to also help BigE, Fulgrim is now the actually beautiful angel, his sons not just teetering on bloodlust and sanity like the Blood Angels. Peter Turbo, while a dreadnought is also still alive. There's No INQUISITION to scream HERESY at everything... Yes. I approve this HERESY *BLAM* sry, old habits die hard😂

There are still some things that need to be address; the blood ravens for first, followed up by the Officio Assaninorium, and lastly what is the fate of the ecclesiology and its associated branches such as the soroitas. But aside from that, it would interesting to see how the imperial guard would function in this timeline. Personally I would like to see the Mordian Iron Guard fighting alongside the Emperor’s Children.

@@maximgvozdic3009 well the second founding didn't hallen, because girlyman didn't make the codex, so no blood ravens, they are still a part of the Thousand Sons. Malcador I think can handle the assassinorum. The sororitas are not needed and don't exist, as there was no religion pushed, since, yaknow, Malcador is ALIVE to continue BigE's messaging🤷‍♂️

@@momqabt I could see chapters being explained away as more of a rapid response groups to combat smaller warbands constantly harassing the Imperium, as well as everything else that attacks it, but in this scenario these chapters would probably cooperate with each other alot more than they do in canon and not have as much variation between them and their respective legions

Mortarion's loyalty secured by seeing Russ become a warp tainted entity but also because he saw Magnus trying to save the Emperor by telling him of the Lion treachery. That plus Khan appearing as another deamon and Thypontreachery. All that togheter puting Mortarion in the Emperor's side. Not as a loving son but understanding that He IS the best chance for Mankind against the Warp.

Loyalist Magnus' armor in the artwork is unironically the best looking here even though I'm not much of a fan of him

the one who made the art of the lionel heresy is amazing. one of the things I especially liked. was specifically Lemun. as he now looks like a wendigo, mixed with a shaman, and has traits from that viking execution known as "blood eagle". where the ribs of the prisoner are pulled out from their back, so they know point outward.

Mad respect there old man. I'm bald and don't get why people make a big deal about it. I mean look at all the awesome bald guys in 40k.....Horus, Logar.....Erebus.....

I gotta say, I like this one better than the other alternative Heresies I've seen. Most of them rely on some sort of hand-waving bullshit to make it work - like a reversed childhood upbringing for the various primarchs. This one feels much more organic and less contrived.

Most of the time some Primarchs need a childhood change to actually turn traitor or loyal. Majorkill just took the canon primarchs and made reversed their roles. I like that.

Rylanor probably either dies on Isstvan fighting beside his Primarch, or survives and possibly serves as a Legion-General (since with a traitor Guilliman there's a good chance the legions are never broken) for the remnants of the Emperor's Children. Given Angron's new condition, the World Eaters would've led the charge into the Traitors' rear upon arriving at the Siege of Terra, the Conqueror leading from the front. Assuming the flagship wasn't destroyed during the battle, Lotarra would've led a long and decorated career as its captain, also being one of the few who could calm the Primarch during his more volatile moods. Ultimately she would die, still having a mortal lifespan. While the Conqueror wouldn't be exclusively commanded by her descendents, to do so was especially considered a mark of pride for the family.

The Emperor's Children that survived were....well Fabius was there. Lets just assume he somehow stayed assholish loyalist. Rylanor either dies with Fulgrim as a Rylanor's Last Stand. Or Fulgrim convinces him to leave. And he became a mentor and teacher of the Emperor's Children (pretty much like Bjorn in the Space Wolves). Raising the new generation of the Sons of Fulgrim.

The only thing I'm confused about is why Angron is a loyalist in the Lion El' Heresy. Lorgar does save him, but the butcher's nails are still installed into the World Eater's legion; Angron hated the Emperor, and hated his own legion because of how blindly loyal they were to the Imperium, never questioning the tyranny that came from the Emperor's rule. While I do believe that Angron would help the loyalist legions, mainly as a favour to Lorgar for saving his life, I do not believe that Angron would have any reason to continue serving the Emperor after the Heresy. One thing I could see Angron saying before leaving would be: "My debt has been paid, Lorgar, and your imperium can find new Warhounds to tame. You may worship a corpse on a throne all you like, but the only reason I haven't gone and cut the head off that tyrant is because you have earned my respect and made me rethink who I am. I am the Lord of the Red Sands. No dark gods, no tyrants, and no aliens can tame me; even those accursed nails's influence, the deep pain I feel every second from them, has begun to dull. However, I still cannot stop the burning rage within me, nor could I heal my legions in this state. Therefore, I now know what I must do; the one thing I should have done centuries ago: finally find peace." The transmission would end, and the remaining World-Eaters still loyal to Angron would follow their lord away into Unknown Regions of space; however, most would splinter off and become mercenaries, selling their services to both Chaos and Imperial forces over the coming milleniums. As for Angron, nobody would know where he went, only that he seemed to have disappeared with his forces and never returned to the Imperium. All that could be found over the many centuries were scouting reports of a massive raiding-armadas in red pillaging xenos planets in either the Webway or Tao Space, only to disappear just as fast as they came. It was only in 40th Millenium that Angron would reappear to Imperial reports, assisting Blackwatch during the attack of Behemoth, a massive tyranid hive-fleet that devastated many imperial worlds. Though he assisted, Angron had mainly came to fight the Tyranids because of boredum, seeing the fight against the Hive-Fleets as a worthy challenge.

I kinda have an issue with Erebus’ fate. This is 40k, the only reason we really hate Erebus is because he got away with it for the most part. In this what has he really done? Perhaps the warrior lodges are still a thing but so much of everything else simply doesn’t happen. Better writing I think if he unjustly escapes. To be honest…I always did like Erebus.
