i personally would get the g14. I already have a desktop, so if I want to seriously game, I will use the desktop. the g14 is a perfect work laptop that I can carry around and visit different cities while still be able to game

Both you and Dave2D mentioned the G16 could be configured without OLED (preferred to me due to burn-in anxiety), but Asus is only listing OLED configurations for now. It makes me believe that Asus may have changed their mind about offering an IPS panel.

I think I've just found my ideal laptop. I've used a ROG desk pc for the better part of 5 years now and never had any issues, so I am sold on their quality. Now I see a laptop that has both of the things I look for. Sleek, powerful, and doesn't have any unnecessary being to it. It's just a modest designed gaming laptop that you can whip out without anyone immediately thinking it's gaming pc. But what about batter life? Previous gens had around 7-9 hours battery or so when not gaming and using it as a regular laptop, correct?

I don't know about the other models but I have the 2023 G14 model and it does not have 7 hours of battery life. Even in Eco mode, lowered voltage to CPU and the discreet GPU switched off. At most, I got 4.5 to 5 hours doing standard browsing and watching videos.

Whenever i use my Zephyrus M16, i always just plug it in when im not going out. (iirc, it wont damage the battery because of Bypass Charging)

Asus thought of this and limited wattage of gpu, so its not actually performing at its peak performance. They noticed minimal performance increase at higher wattage so they capped it which also keeps it cool at cost of performance

Silent mode on battery actually stays at a reasonable temperature to keep on your lap for web use and basic apps. Gpu is 90 watts while maxed wattage for some other models like the razer blade 14 is 140 watts. Honestly the performance difference for 50 watts ain't worth it. The battery life is also fantastic for a windows machine. -a happy g14 user

@@bigpapi6843 While typing I generally don't notice any wobble. I genuinally have to be looking for it to even notice. I have had my laptop about 2 weeks now and until reading this comment I would have said there is no wobble. If you're really concerned about it and from the US. I'd personally get the laptop from best buy and try it out for 14 days to see if it's for you. Worst case you dislike it and return it for a full refund later.

Battery life?

I would go for the G16 version since I like a bigger screen, and it also has an extra NVME slot. I wish It comes in white (a guy can dream, right?)

Do you game? Get the Zephyrus. Do you not game and want to focus specifically on portability, mobility, and video editing? The Macbook Pro M3 simply can't really be beat. Battery life, power efficiency - everyone's still catching up to Apple. If you game at all though, you this, the Legion Slim, and (maybe) a Razer Blade are your best bets.

if gaming not macbook - if gaming - yea zephyrus or AMD chip or meteor lake chip - nvidia DGPU can do some powerful stuff for video editing - way faster than MacOS

No matter how good the product is, how much it sells in such a depressed economy depends on pricing.
