I'm not even a patient of Dr. V but I always watch his video as it encourage me to be back on track and reminds me of what reality is. He is the only Doctor I know who see his patient after surgery. The last time I saw my surgeon was when I woke up after surgery, that's it. I only see the nurse practitioner then after.

I love your presentations. I had some serious WTF issues! I couldn't keep fluids or food down for almost 4 months, had strictures etc.... One day I thought, what I have I done to my body. But I kept going and had faith that none of this was in vain. And after 120 lbs of weight loss, I still feel like it was the best decision I made. Now due to stress, and other triggers, finally started putting on some lbs(emotional eating has been happening), I at least know as a result of this journey why I am behaving the way I am, and with your videos and others, I feel confident that I can get back on track. Thank you again for the matter of fact & practical manner in which you present the information. And your humor makes it that much better.

That is so right on... well, except thankfully I never went though the WTF phase. I hit a 3 month stall at 9 months out, but stuck to plan and it finally broke just in time for my 1 year surgiversary on 1/23/18 and still losing! I owe it to staying on track! Thank You Dr. V! 🌷

From seeing my Dr for the first time till my operation..., was less than 2 weeks although my BMI was only "just" 35. (I was having severe hernia mesh problems from a complication 2 years earlier) Everybody was a bit shocked that I would do this as I don't appear to be grossly overweight. I am 187cms tall, (6' 2") and was 122.5Kgs Now 7 days after surgery already down to 113.9kgs, the pressure of the hernia mesh is fantastic and don't regret it at all. I didn't eat junk food.., I just ate toooo much food. The hardest thing I am going to have to learn is retraining my brain to buy/eat quality food not quantity food. Love these vids.

Dr V i wish you would come to India...I simply love your work and your words. You are the only reason for me to recheck and try and get my eating back under control. Over 3 years out since VSG and gained 9 kilos due to excuses and soothing myself post break up and menopause, IUD, fluctuating hormones and crazy loss of blood and iron off late. All just gave me reasons to go back to what soothed me before! I went back to eating candy. CANDY!!! and stopped my walking....and stayed at home in front of the TV to just tune off life and my issues. But no more. I seem better and have been looking for support and a system that I can adopt to get back under control. If you were to visit India...south india especially...I would grab a flight to come and hear you in person! But for now, going to hang on to your words and your posts and lessons here. Thanks for all the great work, you are my mentor and I hope to make the most of what I learnt from you.

So the holidays are just around the corner, I have already gone to two big Xmas dinners with group of people. They all have not had the sleeve done and most of them are at normal weight, I did not wonder how much they could eat I only focused on what I should be eating and how much I can eat. I am though only 15 mounts out so I don’t know how I will be next year over this time or two years from now, but I hope I don’t fall into the pit “I’m so stressed”. I really enjoy your video blogs.

I would NEVER recommend the Facebook support groups! They are filled with nothing but people that lick doritos, chew their food and spit it out, ask question when they are like 3 weeks post-op, "when can I drink a beer". They give each other permission to eat whatever, when ever...its just insane!!!

Juana, dont worry I can drink and eat aswell almost as before and without pain. this is because they left your stomach a little longer my surgeon explained. The effect is the absorbtion and what the body can intake from the food you eat. It will work the same way just stick with healthy food and be happy you changed your life. Hugs

HI! Did my VSG surgery back on Aug 2012 starting weight 270 lowest weight 155 lbs . got pregnant after 10 month did not gain much weight and weight came off fast. after 8 month later got pregnant again that was back on 2015. weight came off right away. how ever in Sept 2017 got pregnant again I was weighting at that time 177 lbs but gain 33 lbs pregnancy did not end up as we planed :( ... now its being 7 month post delivery but can't not lose the weight I am not sure if its because of stress . I was doing well for 5 1/2 year but now can't seem to be able to lose this weight. and yes when I am stress or sad I just eat . .. Question . I just start it a liquid diet could that help me start to lose some weight?
