Iran has completely lost its identity with the loss of the Shah and His Empress. It was Persia, the Kingdom of Persia, of Cyrus, a land with a history, and national identity. I see many years later, a people with no roots, that is foundering under a Religious dictatorship that doesnt allow its people its past. The loss of tgd Shah, was a loss of Persia. In the Kingdom of Persia, there was a sense of great pride, a oneness, a cohesiveness. It is not cohesive anymore. The people are floundering around like fish out of water. Its just so sad.
@amandajones64817 ай бұрын
It's incredible to see how westernised Persia was under the Shah in those days. If only Persia had remained that way and the religious fundamentalists hadn't destroyed such a lovely country. When my mother was alive she was very close friends with a Persian lady who had worked for the Shah. She had to flee the country when the Ayatollah came to power and took Persia back in time by about a thousand years, because she was on the Ayatollah's death list. He murdered thousands of people simply because they had worked for the previous government under the Shah. I don't think many young people today realise how different countries like Iran and Afghanistan used to be before fundamentalism took hold. If you look at old photos from the 1950's and 60's of places like Tehran, Kabul you'll see most of the people wearing western clothes and you won't see any women wearing the full black hijab, or indeed any veil at all. I know the Shah wasn't perfect but he was far, far better than what was to come.

When the British had enough of the first one they kick him out of his first made up throne . Then when the Americans needed more of the Iran oil they put his son ( Farah’s husband) on the throne back in the 60’s. In other words these guys have had much legitimacy and royal blood then any street vendor in Teheran !

I can recommend the film The Queen and I, made by an Iranian-Swedish female filmmaker. Farah has had a very tragic life, with two of her children committing suicide, and her husband being disgraced

She's beautiful as a queen and empress. 👑✨️❤
🌺 God bless our Quine Farah Diba Pahlavi and her children 💚
Shah and Farah are very dear for us. Long live the Shah ❤❤❤
She was absolutely beautiful and yes it would be a shame for her today x
The Music is so distracting. Louder than the narrators voice.
For sure we are not able to imagine how much problems faced her najesty. She is a very very very strong woman. A very torubled life. I am sorry
Currently she lives in Las Rozas at the outskirts of Madrid Spain

After Sah :( iran is hell
I had no idea, the former Shah died not long after they exiled. I recall as a HS freshman when Sadat was assassinated. I was surprised to learn two of her children committed suicide, I only recall her daughter killing herself.
Very kind lady like her ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
May both Ali Reza and Leyla Pahlavi rest in peace.🙏🏼🙏🏼Very sad they left in such young age .😢😢
Many thanks ❤
Bellissime persone ❤️
My sister's name is also FarahDiba ❤ (FarahDiba Amir).
dear farah pahlavi 😍😍🤩
Stunning woman 🤲🏻❤️
Very sad 😢😢😢😢😢
What do you mean by final empress? Please change the title of this video. There is a large population of Iran who want royal family back.

How do you know she is last queen???????H.I.M. Farah Pahlavi is Queen Mother of Iran, The late beloved #ShahOfIran was not the last. Actually Monarchy has not ended for our country. We stand with H.I.M.#Rezashah2pahlavi3 is the legal successor of H.I.M.#MohamadRezaShahPahlavi. #Constitution we restore #kingdomwithpahlavi The majority of Iranians want H.I.M.#Rezashah2pahlavi3 legal king of Iran #constitution1906 to come back to Iran and lead the country. He is the best and the only #alternative for a free secular Iran and a more peaceful Middle East. we restore #kingdomwithpahlavi Viva #kingdomwithpahlavi

we all wish that Iran will be restored to its former glory but we don't see this happening soon.
If you only reduce the background music it would be much better. Nice documentary nonetheless
Does the family still exist very curious. My mother told me about this family when I was very young and I became very intrigued. I liked the King very sad at the end. God bless the family always ❤😊

The misguided Iranians had no idea how good they had it. The young people of Iran can thank their parents for the desaster they are living in now. They deserve what they got.

FYI: this dynasty is not even older than Disney! Like the famous mouse they came out of nowhere proclaiming themself monarch . When the British had enough of the first one they kick him out of his first made up throne . Then when the Americans needed more of the Iran oil they put his son ( Farah’s husband) on the throne back in the 60’s. In other words these guys have had much legitimacy and royal blood then any street vendor in Teheran !
may king's soul rest in eternal peace ,truly a phenomenal man and founder of modern Iran ( along with his late father ) i pray that Empress Farah get the chance to visit Iran someday very very soon ...BTW the expensess for the 2500 yrs of kingdome was only 25 million as per the record and the number 300 million is a lie that revolutioneries told to people....
❤
She was beautiful
Bonne vie Princesse ♥️
We can only blame the status of Iran (Persia) today, to those that didnt want freedom, liberty and stability. Stability equals prosperity.

Shah Reza married 3 times so that he can have a son to be the heir but at the end, his son didn’t get to rule anything.
