All things considered, the thing Levy struggled with the most is his mental, and ever since he came back, he's been getting a confidence boost both from playing online with the chrome extension, getting really good wins over strong opponents, and from having great performances over the board, with even Hikaru saying he's doing a lot right! Must be great to have everything go your way and show you that you are, in fact, a pretty good player after all

Hikaru said it is likely that Levy gains his 3 GM norms, but it will be hard for him to reach 2500 ELO bc he's 150 points away from it, meaning he will need to be playing tournaments on a high level for a couple of years. Hikaru has said multiple times that Levy has what it takes to become a GM, he just doesn't think he will get there, bc very much like Hikaru, being a content creator is his job, playing chess in tournaments is a hobby and it will be hard to keep that schedule, that's why Hikaru currently plays less than 6 tournaments a year, while Levy wants to play 1 to 2 tournaments a month.

To me the outstanding fact is that just by Levy playing competitive chess again, lower rated games suddenly get recognition. I really appreciate Hikarus respectful, unbiased and diligent recaps and I wish more chess youtubers would seriously give promising IM and GM aspirants more attentioon. Chess is more than 2700+ matches (and "guess the ELO"). I honestly respect Levy for taking the huge risk of humiliation by publicly announcing that he wants to become a GM, and letting the world take part in his endeavor - no matter the outcome.
