It’s interesting that people just 100 years after Paul were really leaning towards works salvation. It shouldn’t be surprising though. The same thing happens to Christian ministries in that amount of time.

Well the Galatians made that mistake while Paul was still alive which is why we have the wonderful book of Galatians.

I happen to believe that Clement wrote the book of Hebrews as well. Just something about the wording.

I would be curious to read Clement in Greek then. The Greek word order in Hebrew is so unique, it is like a fingerprint. It should be kind of straightfoward if Clement wrote both to tie them together.

@@RevReads Mmmm....Interesting.🤔 I am surprised that no one has done this already or perhaps they have but there is not a lot of material on it.

Did Clement believe in free grace? They say a lot of church fathers didn't, but are there a few that did? Have you come across any free grace books that talk about the church fathers or how the soteriology view got corrupted?

Here's my review on Clement. His writing isn't long so you could read it yourselfkzread.info/dash/bejne/fI1-vJR6hc-2irg.html

So I thought you commented on a different video, sorry. Bad comment by me. No, I do not believe Clement was free grace. I think he was close. He would probably be in line with the traditional Southern Baptists in the whosoever will camp that are close to free grace but not all the way in our camp. Andy Woods in his Ever Reforming briefly hits on this as well as Michael Halsey in his book Truthspeak.

That's disappointing. Paul mentioned Clement in his writings and he was in the book of life. Perhaps Clement was free grace and swayed to a different doctrine?
