One cannot help but wonder what this darker and hidden war is. If it is His will for His people to know of this conflict to be known, then He will give us this information through this Remembrancer when He sees fit. In the meantime, Ave Imperator.

You sir are my favorite source of 40k lore outside of Dark Heresy and Forge World. *ahem* I mean, "May the works of this humble imperial servant continue long into the galaxy's future. Emperor protects..."

I like how they use Greek sounding words for all the custodes to make them sound old

They even use Greek spelling and alphabet. Like "Kataphraktoi" obviously being a Hellenisation of "Cataphracts" (Ancient near-East very heavy cavalry, appropriately) when referring to their vehicle pilot contingent.

These videos are stunning. Eloquent, detailed, yet still accessible even to somebody new to 40k. I could literally listen to these all day.

Something I've been thinking about is that why did Constantin Valdor follow the orders from Horus to destroy the Thousand Sons. As a Custode he answered to only the Emperor, and without direct word from Him about such drastic changes to the mission, why listen to the Warmaster?

This day and age it feels nice not being talked down to. Words, sentences carry their worth as is and should be. Apart from representing a fantasy lore in the best possible fashion. 40K is just so amazingly stuffed with lore. The combination of sciencefiction and the medieval era is so incredible and unique! The best universe for sure! even starwars! The potential for movies or a series is massive. Can you imagine?! A series like GOT but 40K...the horus heresy brought to the screen, maybe the great crusade..i will keep hoping and praying to the emperor.

Oculus Imperia yep the role of being the Emperor's Executioners is a heavy one. I love how Space Wolves don't like being called Space Wolves and that the nickname (The Rout) other Imperial Commanders gave the Space Wolves to mock them the Space Wolves use as a simpler name for the legion.

It's a reference to the opening of David Lynch's Dune. As kinda crap as that movie is I unashamedly love it, and the opening 15 minutes in particular. I felt the language perfectly fit the tone I was trying to capture, plus there's the whole shared DNA between the Dune and 40k universes.

Great video, but i wonder, where it is stated that Constantin Valdor have 1962 names? I always thought he had 1932 of them.

This lore video was so good I was able to purge the heresy in my colon with the ever purifying flames of the emperor in the form of Frank's hot sauce!

If the Thunder Warriors could potentially handle Space Marines so easily (as we see with Arik Taranis, though of course he was legendary), are they akin to Custodians, in martial prowess?

A Single thunder warrior would be more than equal match to a Custodes 1 on 1. Thunder warriors are physically more stronger than a custodes and astartes but thunder warriors suffer from genetic defects(Also they were described as violent and psychotic during wars) that makes there lifespan short(It was said emps done it on purpose because thunder warriors have no place in the Post unification wars)
